  1. Hmm lyrical clue? It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Everywhere you go Take a look in the five and ten Glistening once again With candy canes and silver lanes aglow.... 5 and 10 = 15 15th? Or could be just a lovely photo ๐Ÿ˜‚ 15th is a Sunday, so there goes that theory ๐Ÿคจ
  2. Thank you. I must go and have a look round. You have done a lovely job on your home.
  3. I love your Christmas decor. Can I ask how many land impact your wall plates are (I love them, one is like the Spode Christmas plates I use RL) ? It's just I have some Alice in Wonderland wall plates which I love but don't often put them out as they are 9 Li ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
  4. Possible themes which may be popular 1. Fantasy- hobbit, treehouses etc 2. Old stone cottages 3. Woodland cabins 4. A modern style I think though, if I get a Victorian, I would stay there. Not sure why the Victorian era has always fascinated me. From a European perspective anyway, Victorians appear to have been quite morbid, prudish, generally they didn't aim for equality or a fair society etc etc but I do like their architecture
  5. I was absent from SL for a couple of years so I missed the beginnings of Bellisseria. Its mainly because of Bellisseria I have stayed. I have had numerous houses, trailers and houseboats. I tend to decorate and explore the area around the home and then move on. I stayed in Toad Hollow the longest but had to give it up to try for a Victorian and to also keep the traditional in Castlewellan Overlook which I love. It is in the name of my alt who rarely sees daylight. I just take over her house, grab her stipend and log her out.
  6. That's a lovely spot. I also love the set of steps up to it and the little wall.
  7. Haha yes indeed. I love their stuff and already had a lot of it but the sale omg I was like a kid in a candy shop. I think I nearly bought the whole store.
  8. Yes, I thought they were making reference to William Blake as well and he wasn't of the Victorian era either. Perhaps they are just fond of classic literature and named the regions from that. The house names though are all Victorian writers I think.
  9. Dressing up appropriately in my Belli house before going to look around the Dickens Project.
  10. I was waiting on someone bringing up (not literally ) Marmite ๐Ÿ˜‚
  11. Umm I see lots of possible references to Jane Austin novels; Darcy, Elizabeth Bennett, Elinor Dashwood, William Collins etc plus didn't Kiera Knightly star in pride and prejudice? Think I may be making connections now just for the sake of it. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  12. Indeed, they have listened to what a lot of people are looking for and responded. Seems like good business practice to me. They will, I am sure be looking out for ideas of what the demands from people will be in the future and hopefully they will respond again. If an idea is popular, I am sure they will.
  13. I never said you insulted me nor would I care very much if you did. I mentioned you were being disingenuous when you claimed you were not being derogatory by using the term 'average, everyday chintzy' but in fact were merely referring to patterns which originated in India. I see it's a trait with you though. Probably a cultural thing. Carry on.
  14. So when you said ' average, everyday chintzy houses', you meant average everyday houses with floral patterns derived originally from India? Come on, I am from the same culture as you and whether you are English, Scots, Irish or Welsh, if you call someone's home 'an average, everyday chintzy house', you aren't being complimentary. Stop being disingenuous. You meant it as a slight against the new style of homes and that is what you were pulled up for.
  15. hmm another reference to grey monks.
  16. Looks like it. I googled grey monk and its the name of a poem written by William Blake. Good work Sherlock ๐Ÿ˜‰ Its a very long poem but here's a taster; 'I die, I die!' the Mother said,'My children die for lack of bread. What more has the merciless Tyrant said?'The Monk sat down on the stony bed.The blood red ran from the Grey Monk's side,His hands and feet were wounded wide,His body bent, his arms and kneesLike to the roots of ancient trees. Wlliam Blake was not quite Victorian but still ๐Ÿ˜›
  17. I love how 'Rachel' has brought her tent. She's in for the long haul ๐Ÿ˜„
  18. lol looks like a Welsh word with the lack of vowels. There is one called Remember the Amistad so maybe they refer to historical events from the Victorian era as well.
  19. I like how they have named the house types after Victorian writers, Arthur Conan Doyle, Percy Shelley, Jules Verne and Thomas Hardy. Some of the region names seem to allude to characters from literature as well.
  20. I just cant help myself. I was clicking through and a house popped up and out of curiousity I grabbed it. Whoever got the Toad Hollow house abandoned it and I caught it again so will release it again in a minute.
  21. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Toad Hollow/214/203/37 I love this house in Toad Hollow. It has a hill with rocks and trees on one side and the back garden has a river flowing along at the bottom. But, I have two premium accounts. One is for the Castlewellan home and so the other will be to try for one of the Victorian homes. I will release at 09.30 SL time.
  22. I love the cobblestone paths so I hope they are a feature in the actual regions. The reveal area reminds me of a region I used to love wandering around in SL called Antique Artistry.
  23. Settling in to Castlewellan and more Christmas decorating to do
