  1. If this is the wrong place I apologise, just semed logical that merchants are most likely the ones cashing out. I went to do a Paypal Transfer/Withdrawal this morning and there's a little dropdown that now says minimum amount is £90 (gbp). Wasn't sure if this was a glitch, a new change or what-knot. The only thing i can find in relation to this is on their community forum PayPal Forum Seems to have kicked off today and have no idea if it affects others outside the UK, if it affects everyone, or if this is a ballsup by paypal themselves (wouldn't be the first time). If you find you do get caught in this, downloading the mobile app and transfer/withdraw from there seems to be the work around
  2. Just a few rows down you would have foudn the Mesh forum. https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Mesh/bd-p/Mesh Take a browse through, it is a plethora of information and tips, tricks, recommendations etc and you will probably find that your question has been answered many times before. Well worth a read.
  3. The ability to change these fields in bulk is already there and has been for some time. It may not be perfect but its a vast improvement on having to change them one at a time On the listings page simply change the list view from 10 to 100 then click the box to select all, and then click on edit at the bottom, from there you can choose which fields to change across all those listings. Did mine this way when i m oved 6 months ago and its a huge time saver, even if you do still have to repeat it till all arer done. Beats doing it one at a time.
  4. Cashing out on a Sunday doesn't count as its not classed as a business day and therefore processing does not begin until Monday. So cashing out on Monday & receiving the money into (for example) paypal on Wednesday is 2 Business days processing. Paypal transfers withdrawals to my bank within 2 hours. Previously if I cashed out on Monday I wouldnt see it in paypal until midnight (ish) Friday (GMT), and shown in my bank account Saturday morning (occassionally it wouldnt show until the following Monday in paypal, making it an 8 day turnaround). Personally I got no qualms about paying the increased fee and receiving funds 3-5 days faster. Edited to add: Anyone who has ever held a Business Account with a Bank will know and see just how many hidden charges that those Banks like to sting you with. Another thing to consider, certainly with using paypal (cant speak for other processes cos i never used skrill etc) is that when making a payment to someone Paypal charges a fee either to receiver or seller ... those charges add up. It's poor business practise to not pass on fees in some way or another.
  5. There are already Feature Requests filed for "Discount Features" as Jiras. Here are just a couple of examples: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4935 https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-9240 If you want to put your idea forward then Jira is the best place to get it seen.
  6. You have a couple of possibilities The first Is to have 2 seperate stores, one in each name. This is the easier and safest method. And you could follow the Advice given by Tamara and both set each other in the revenue distribution The second is to have one store under one name. Each uploading your own work, with one of you then passing the creations to the other for listing and selling. creations would have to be passed full perm and then you'd need to re-set the permissions before listing, and again, use the revenue distribution as explained by Tamara. But there's a snag with this option. If you are using full perm templates of any kind in your creations then you will likely find that the Licenses for those templates do not allow you to pass them to someone else, or to be sold by any avatar other than one who made the original template purchase. Personally I'd opt for the first method. If either one of you stopped creating then you still have your own store and own items to carry on. And there's no harm in naming them the same. i.e "creations by avi1" "creations by avi2"
  7. If using firestorm viewer look along the top line menu, click help > join Firestorm support Other tpv's may have a similiar option if not an inworld search for group is usually very useful.
  8. A High-End or High spec computer does not mean its not a computer issues, things can and do go wrong with drivers, connections, settings etc. The best thing to do is hit up the support group chat with your problem so they can help you look into what might be going wrong and where.
  9. 1. Have you checked the Belleza store first for the Appliers for tone you use, they offer both Omega & Slink appleirs which makes the task of matching pain free 2. Don't use default windlight to manually match skin tones. CaiWL & Nam's Optimal Skin & prim are widely recommended. 3. Make sure basic shaders are enabled in viewer preferences 4. The slink website gives step by step instructions and a guide to the RGB codes needed for some of the Belleza shades http://slinkstyle.com/belleza-manual-matching/
  10. It might help if you specifiy which Mesh body you have, but generally speaking Alpha's or Alpha Cuts are on the HUD that came with the body. There are sections that you can toggle on and off to turn pieces of the body invisible. So to wear a pair of mesh jeans you pick the size that has the closest fit arond the waist then use the alpha cuts from the body hud to hide any bits of the mesh body that show through. If you find Jeans which are Fitted Mesh and made for your specific Body Brand then alpha cut's may well not be needed.
  11. Snickers Snook wrote: It's not search that's broken. It's the listing system itself. Yes & no. Search is broken partly because we've been allowed to break the listings. LL have allowed us to get away with the keyword spamming and other bits for far too long, and when folk started to see that the loophole was there they opened up the tin of alhpabetti spagetti and threw in every word that they could think of from other listings just to try and get thiers boosted, hence why we now get bookends when searching for a barn door. Throw in the demos, the store names, the seller names, the reviews and bam! we're in the middle of a big ol' bowl of search custard.
  12. I like and agree with these points but I'd like to see the review ratings work both ways, for buyer & for seller. I'd wish for a simple "after sale reminder" from SLM with a link to leave a review. It would also be nice to have a "Purchased but not reviewed" page Unfortunately many ppl use throw away email accounts or never check spam/trash folders in emails so they prolly wouldnt see it anyway, but it would be nice to see this. A week after purchase is a good time for a reminder, its given the buyer plenty of time to try and test their purchase. But the reminder should be sent to the recipient of the product in the case of gifting. Reviews are important. They can be the deciding factor for customers and sellers alike Magnet Homewood wrote: change the rules for the reviews so they have to specifically be about that one product that has been bought. Then add a review system for the merchant, specifically concerned with customer service (but it doesnt have to be limited to that), so that customers can rate how they feel their interaction with the merchant went, I'd like to see some default radio options come into play. For example; where a buyer leaves a rating of 3 or less and selects that they have NOT contacted the seller then the review itself is placed in stasis until further action by buyer or seller. Other defauts can include things like "was the product as described" "was it as per the image" etc and so forth. These rankings could then be combined into an overall ranking system against our merchant profile on the marketplace to give a guide as to our customer service, product display etc. On the flipside to this I'd like it for sellers to review against buyers in return. They may not have a merchant profile against their name but they can have a buyer profile, showing the reviews they have left and for what products. Reviews would only be left in response to a review from the buyer. If there is a publicly visable at-a-glance record of what they say in a review then maybe, just maybe, we can start to see some more genuine and credible comments & reviews, and less of the "im gonna give it 1 star cos you wont dumped me" kind of review. Reviews and ratings need to drop off after a time too. Product rankings by rating should be limited to the previous 3 months. The 20 ratings of a product 3 years ago, or even 9 months ago, has no relevance on how the product or seller performs today.
  13. ok my tuppence on this Beta: Fix "Relevance". This should be something that makes sense, which at the moment it doesnt, or at least explain to us how you come to the Relevance Results as they currently stand Remove the Auto fill search options. I don't want to see it pre-filled with whatever title somone has given their listing, I just want to search for words i choose. If clamping down on Keyword spamming then dont allow the spamming to take over in the Listing Title. Cut it down by half and give us 64 not 120 characters Instead of giving us the ability to hide DEMO's from searches just remove them altogether, make them a hidden object like we do with vendor systems inworld. A Demo shouldnt need a listing as long as it is linked to correctly in the main item. I already see too many DEMO listings where clicking the "buy main" takes you back to main MP front page because the master listing has been removed. Allow us as merchants to set how we wish our store page to be displayed by default, or give us a ranking system where we can set the top 12 products to be shown. Fix the reveiw system. Or wipe it and start afresh with a whole new way of doing it. Ive had negative reviews, and following up on them they usually down to consumer error, or bad settings, genuine faults i fix as priority, i've even so much as had blackmail attempts when in IM about them. I dont want to sit there and flag bad reviews for removal, i just want reviews to be more "realistic" and genuine. I'm still thinking on this one .. time for coffee
  14. -; the betasearch "relevance" doesn't seem to have any order whatsoever I noticed this on my store too, its just a jumble. Personally i'd like to see store relevance default to most recently added or recently sold. This jumbled relevance result seems to also be the same jumble we get on a full MP search. Keyword spamming desperately needs "something". I ran a search on beta & live for "Omega Skirt". Beta version gave me 3500 fewer results, but one of the top results was a top, far from being a skirt. Inspecting the page and keywords found that 7 of the 14 keywords used relate to a totally different type of item, including but not limited to; leggings, skirt & even weed. A pair of Blue Boots shouldnt come up in searches for Pink Fluffy pillow, but thats the reality we get. These are all valid words and search terms, even if they dont fit the item. To stop this kind of keyword hijacking do we really need to sit there and flag each and every item we see that does this? I support the idea of a Verified Merchant type deal. Not sure how it would work but could give the verified a higher ranking in searches as well as other perks or bonuses alongside giving a little more reasurrance to the buyer. I'd even acknowledge tougher penalties and consequences if it means we can cut back on some of the spam, junk and misleading listings. .
  15. I had a similar thing recently, not so much with the threats as you had. Someone purchased 6 items , then started leaving negative comments on some. When i contacted them the told me its because the items didnt look anything like the picture. I don't edit my snapshots of an item other than to cut and past it into a pre-made advert template, and i state in the pic and details the name of the body im wearing. Anyways, the person in question asked for full refund for all items and they'd stop the bad reviews. I refused. I jumped on a pose stand, put on the outfit and took a gyazo shot and sent it to the buyer to show it was exactly the same as the pic on the listing, telling them that if there was a problem id fix it but i cant fix problem they dont tell me about. I never heard anything more from them. Unfortunately, some folk just like to try it on and see how far they can get, its part-and-parcel of being a merchant in SL. IF you get the full item back then all well and good, just refund and move on and re-sell it. Most threats are empty ones, bully-boy tactics cos its all they know, and a bully can only win if you let them.
  16. I have this same effect on the test model but the other way round. With an LOD of 3 and 6/7 High-Ultra Graphics i have the patchy effect at a distance but close up its fine. Part of my issue is that im working at a height of 2500 and height over 1k can have an effect on mesh body layers. It is though only a test model, its meant simply to make sure your appliers are working. And that is the purpose for what i use the model, there is no shape or movement on it so it can never compare to how it looks on an avatar wearing one of the 3 Belleza Bodies, or on any any other mesh body. From experience that broken patchy effect is nothing to worry about. If you intend to be making Belleza appleirs on a regular frequent basis the best thing to do, in my opinion, is invest in the actual body yourself, or just put trust into the test model to ensure the applier works.
  17. check out the Builders Brewery, they have classes & tutorials and they have a very helpful & knowledgeable user group.
  18. As far as Omega supported lips there are only 3 currently listed as supported, Those are PXL Sweet Lips & Soul Kissers. And also now NyamNyam, showing this creator is still active, and with relay these lips will now accept Omega appliers. Best thing to do is try all the demos, find one you like and then look around to see how easy it is to find appliers for them. Demo's will usually give full functionality excluding the use of appliers.
  19. If you want to give yoursefl a crash course the hit up google/youtube and follow some of the text effect tutorials and photo editing tutorials, many are out there for both CS5 & CS6 and there is little difference between the 2 when it comes to functionality. This will give you a good idea of many functions such as layer effect, masking, filter, shading, blending etc. Then while in youtube just search for SL clothing tutorials which will show you some basics which you can enhance using the previous tutorials.
  20. There is a whole page dedicated to Mesh boobs on the Omega website to help you out finding what you want http://lovenlustdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/p/theboobiepage.html. Basically what others have said before, if its Tango compatible then its already Omega compatible. Be prepared for a shopping spree once you find a set you like. Mesh clothing is unlikely to fit unless specifically described as such, and the system clothing you have now isn't going to work either unless it comes with an applier (but you might strike lucky and find some have updated to include appleirs), and you cannot convert system clothing into an applier unless you have the full perm texture or UUID & permission from the original creator.
  21. Not as simple as that. It's hard to find a mesh mody that is modifiable as nearly all mesh out there relies on an applier to put the texture onto the body and clothing, and there are dozens of different shapes and styles. If you really want to go the mesh body route i would suggest looking for one which is Omega compatible and trying as many demos as you can. Then you can use your own textures and make your own Omega appliers. You can find a list of currently supported bodies here http://lovenlustdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/p/supported-meshes.html Mesh body doesnt eliminate this completey, some less considerate animations/poses can still bring this flaw to light
  22. Check the folder structure has been created correctly, for a folder with sub folders it should look like; Folder Sub Folder Child 1 Child 2 If you dont have the right folder heirachy you can create it and force them into the right pace, but without the primary folder for the product it will read the child folders as individual versions and requires one of them to be set as the active version
  23. not much you can do about this, its just the way the body shell moves in relation to the skeletal rigging on a standard avatar. Some AO's & animations/poses etc enhance it more than others but you'll never escape it completey, even if you switched up to a mesh body you would still see this on others.
  24. This all too often con be contributed to the openGL glitch, especially on mesh bodies. You dont say if you are wearing stockings on clothing or underwear layer so i will presume they are worn as underwear. Try clearing all layers and then reapplying, starting with the stockings first, followed by clothing. If you're wearing appliers on the clothing layer above the stockings try turning on the mask mode for that layer. If you are wearing mesh clothing you can apply the stockings on the clothing layer or hide the clothing layer completely to give the stockings layer a priority. As far as settings go thats pretty dependant on the capability of your graphics card and computer. Compare your settings to those of your friends who can see them when you can't and look at the differences between them. There's also a lot of help in the FS group to help get the most out of your settings.
  25. I've made gloves & outfits for maitreya that use the glove layer, all be it they also use upper and/or lower textures too and they work. However, to test the theory i rezzed up a working applier and removed the texture from upper body, so it only had the glove texture, and the script rejected the notecard. The Reason is as i explained before. Gloves and feet are added automatically, without the need for selecting a layer from the pop-up menu when using the applier. But it needs a texture in Upper or Lower. Without it the script rejects the notecard as it cannot configure the menu to pop-up and ask the user what layer they want to apply because technically there isnt a texture there for it to do so.
