Menus (search on the menu bar) and Preferences (at the top of the Preferences window). You can type in a keyboard and it will show you which page or menu the keyword appears. Just remember to clear the search once you've found what you're looking for.

There were indeed two warnings; one on February 13, 2015 and the other was December 10, 2014 when Version 4.6.9 was released. The top 3 blog posts (which still includes the blocking of Version 4.6.1. post) can be seen on the splash screen whenever you launch the viewer. With Firestorm viewer, this setting is exposed in Preferences - Firestorm - General subtab - Hide empty system folders from inventory.

The witless wonder who came up with the moronic idea probably should have prevented the ability to add anything to that folder other than landmarks.
