  1. Will Boxy's rewards change? Gift card, long lunch or what's the other one? spa treatment? seem rather out of place for this one. 😉
  2. https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/BUG-229220 Oh good. That was Friday. Give it time. They triage on certain days, and they don't triage on the weekend. 🙂
  3. Nope. Don't expect there's anything you can do to fix it either. The recent series of group maintenance seems to have left us with a new experience and it's debatable whether it's an improvement over what we had. The issue should really be reported on Linden Lab's bug tracker. https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
  4. This topic has been discussed ad nauseam elsewhere. But for the record, Firestorm has the largest userbase of any viewer available and we don't "always" pay attention to outdated systems. Of course we are mindful of them, just as Linden Lab is. As a project, you don't just toss away members of your community because they don't meet the standards of a few arrogant *****s. P.S. Viewer team/projects are not competitors. If you've found a viewer that meets your needs, by all means use it. I can assure you no one is going to cry if you are using one viewer rather than another. That's the beauty of having choices and options. 🙂
  5. These limits are for Firestorm Viewer only: 64bit versions only. This setting is hard limited based on the VRAM available with your graphics card. It is recommended you increase the slider to use the maximum available to prevent texture thrashing. GPU 1GB = up to 768MB GPU 2GB+ = up to 1024MB GPU 4GB+ = up to 2048MB 32bit versions only. This setting is hard limited to a maximum of 512MB.
  6. Yay for curiosity! The advantage of the beta is, it will install to a different folder than the current release, so you can easily switch back and forth if needed, or even just for comparison. 🙂
  7. One thing I'll never understand. Not happy with Firestorm -- use another viewer. It really is just that simple. Blacklist because you don't like our Project's release schedule? That's rather harsh and shows just how little you know about third party development, and any project in particular. @Oz Lindenis the Open Sourcerer of all things third party. You can explain to him how to obtain guidance from Google. Lindens always appreciate feedback. P.S. There's this fabulous invention called "punctuation". I recommend looking into it.
  8. Or jump right in. It really depends on who you are. I jump right in, because it's never just about 1 single thing. There are always other updates and new things.
  9. I have no idea how you extrapolated that from what I said above, or what I've said in group. You're confusing yourself because you think Windlight has morphed into EEP! when it hasn't. You need to separate the two. Windlight has been removed from the Firestorm beta viewer (except for some wording changes needed to be done) and that includes, among other things, crossfade. Insert EEP! by Linden Lab. If you want crossfade with EEP!, simply make a feature request. (P.S. You could have done so at least 10 times over by now.) 😉
  10. EEP! is a feature developed by LL. It was not added because no one thought to, or requested it. Here's your chance!
  11. I'm perfectly okay with this. Very few people have what it takes to be a Firestorm beta/preview tester. In many cases, the most simple things, seem to be the most difficult to manage.
  12. The ones that can make it happen though are here https://jira.firestormviewer.org/ 😉
  13. For anyone who has been waiting for a chance to use Firestorm with EEP!, here it is! Firestorm QA has a beta viewer with EEP! available for testing. To use this viewer, please join the inworld group Phoenix-Firestorm Preview Group secondlife:///app/group/7ba4569c-9dd9-fed2-aaa7-36065d18a13c/about Note this is not a support group, but part of the Firestorm QA testing groups, thus support is limited. Save the Group Guidelines notice to understand how the group works. Save the Take II - RC Firestorm Beta 6.4.5.60798 notice and attachment, and follow the instructions. The beta also includes recent updates from LL including Maintenance Viewer Zirbenz, Camera Presets, FMOD Studio and CEF Update 2020.
  14. There is an AO bug in the current Firestorm Release 6.3.9, which has already been fixed for next release. We are sorry it made it into release, as it has been frustrating for some users. In the meantime, we provide 2 step-by-step methods to workaround the issue here Firestorm Wiki - AO crash on login It's your choice of course, but for others, there's no reason not to ever use the AO again. The Client AO works just as it always has once this hurdle is overcome.
  15. If anyone is interested, Firestorm QA has a beta viewer with EEP! available for testing. 16. Why not offer support? I mean where else would people turn to if they were seeking support for their Firestorm viewer. Oh, wait.
  17. Firestorm Viewer 6.3.9.58205 is merged up to LL’s 6.3.8 release viewer. Before asking about "abandonware", please check how many releases LL has made since Firestorm's last release, including the CEF 2020 Update. I could tell you, but where's the fun in that? Firestorm will always be behind LL's current release. That's SLife.
  18. It's also the little big things which make me happy. Thank you for fixing attachment icons in group notices. 🍓
  19. This was news to the Firestorm Team. That's our Twitter account.
