  1. I’m glad you haven’t kept this topic locked Abnor. It’s always one of the first I look for when I check the forums & it’s exciting to see updates on what’s going on when I can’t get inworld to see things for myself. I was super excited when I read about the beach becoming a Rez zone at Chiffre & so were many others. After years of people wanting the continents connected I feel sad reading some of these comments. Things may not be exactly as some wanted but for every person who comes on here to complain, there are many, many more who love the developments & appreciate what has been done. Despite the complaints, you & the other moles have made many people happy with what you have done & rekindled interest in SL for a lot of us older residents. For that I say thank you.
  2. You might want to put the Slurl of your property in your ad as no one can visit to buy it.
  3. Sometimes you just have to wait. If you are after a quick sale you might have to start dropping the price. Also, sometimes it can pay to divide a large plot into smaller plots to attract a different type of buyer. It’s a nice spot, minus what others have said about Blake Sea access. Larger plots, unless it’s in an exceptionally good area can take longer to sell & my experience is that people will wait to see if you’ll price drop. My last plot I sold took 4 weeks, even though it was cheap so patience is the key.
  4. I've recently been watching this happening in the Stilt regions of Empty Coast, Seasnake etc. They grab nearly every house but then dump them when the next region is released. They soon move on like Polenth says. It seems to be a pathological need to be the first to ‘own’ a house as it doesn’t seem to be about the position of the property. They’ve had a lot of epic spots but then let them go.
  5. My first house in Newbrooke, I arrived to find my neighbour putting a giant Christmas tree up in the backyard…in March. Yeah, no.
  6. The stilt regions on the big channel next to Empty Beach have now been given names. One step closer to release.
  7. LI is always an issue, no matter how big the parcel. I used to have a sim & thought I’d never use all my LI but I did. Granted it was wonderful to be able to landscape & change themes however I wanted but it came at an economic cost. I look at my Premium as an investment in LL. I love SL & want to see it continue so I’m willing to contribute financially. I understand not everyone can afford to do that & I certainly understand the frustration of not being able to do exactly what you want when LI is limited but LL is a business & just like RL, real estate costs.
  8. I posted this pic in another thread but it’s an example of what’s currently available in the Trads. It’s on All Hours, right next to Heathstone, only 9 houses & I’m so thrilled. I’ve never managed to get a beach Trad before & never thought I would. I’m really looking forward to landscaping a beachfront environment.
  9. I wanted a stilt home where I could sail straight from my back door to the main channel. My alt finally got this little beauty. It didn't have a direct sunset view but I could live with that as it's position is so amazing. Then as I had nothing better to do I rolled on a Trad with my main & got this. The house Gods were smiling on me, a lot.
  10. That’s not a Linden home Luna. It’s a RL container home, similar to what the Moles have created.
  11. Thanks Abnor. My roof will be low-key so I’m going to have a play later & see what I can come up with.
  12. Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking a living roof would be perfect for this style of home but as it would need a soil texture I guess I won’t be doing it now.
  13. This was me in 2007 on my main avi. I was only a couple of weeks inworld & was in The Billabong Bar, an Australian sim. I was with one of the most creative people I’ve ever met & he helped me so much. I don’t think I would have stayed without him. Now he’s a world famous photographer & has moved on. I’ll never forget those people who helped & welcomed me.
  14. I had my land in the hinterland for sale at a good price for awhile as I was suspicious of what was going to happen but no takers. I logged on yesterday to see many parcels around me, including those little strips of buffer land were being sold at abandoned land prices. I’ve abandoned my land now. I can take the loss & I’m moving on. I bought into the community because I believed in their vision but the vision is now gone with no consultation, no warning & no thought for the people it would effect. As someone who believes strongly in the mainland this hurts but I also know it’s SL & nothing is ever set in stone. The continued selling of land labelled Campbell Coast when it no longer is though is deceptive & gives me no faith in the new owner.
  15. As someone with land in the now discarded hinterland I don’t feel much like a valued member of the community. Screwed is the correct term to use.
  16. The first parcel is on the Campbell Coast. It's high up with gorgeous sunsets & some amazing landscaping surrounding it. 2048sq $10,000L http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sunstream/228/235/98 The second is a east - west facing water property. Protected waterfront, quiet neighbours & stunning vistas over the water. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Shubelik/197/99/22 3072sq $12,000
  17. I can’t get inworld right now but this is the slurl from the Marketplace. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Essences/76/184/22
  18. I have to agree with this Nika. I got a few waterside parcels but they didn’t speak to me. Then I landed one with a landlocked lake outside my back door. The waterfall, the decorations all screamed ‘this is what I’ve been looking for’. I can just imagine fairies playing in the falls & hiding behind the mushrooms. It’s truly magical.
  19. Wouldn’t it be easier for the EEP to be permanently set at night, with the bio-luminescence & if you thought it was too dark you could change your environment to midday? Currently setting it to midnight loses the wonderful effects & some of us never get to see the night effects due to time constraints. I loved the demo area & am sad I never get to see the true beauty of the fantasy area.
