I spent a couple of days 'hiking' along the side of the river, and I have been amazed how many water-side homes are vacant. I started checking to be sure that they weren't simply empty of furniture.
Like you @Tamara Adored , I found a lovely spot which backs onto the water and for added convenience is within walking distance of a 'boat-slip' rez spot.
I can only think that the demo region I saw some time ago completely undersold the feel of the completed region, and that maybe the styles of home available are unfamiliar to non-europeans, so don't give those emotional attachment vibes residents need to feel at home.

I agree that the demo region can’t give you the feel of the area. I have river on two sides, a park on one & a neighbour on the other. They have nicely planted along the side so it’s very private. Bonus points for me not having to use LI on lots of trees. Inside is very much like most LH so you can decorate how you like. At first look I disregarded them but after having a good look around, I just love it.  Thanks must go to the people running the recent train trips around the area. They showed me an area I hadn’t really considered before.

  2. A lot of people want water, lots of water. This is the view from my backyard in the Chalet region. Sure, chalet's are not everyones cup of tea but look at it!. It just goes on & on, I can sail forever plus I see others sailing past. Unbelievably, there are empty homes along the river. If you want water, like messing about on boats then take a look. You might actually come to like a chalet after all :)

Im a bit envious of all, even if we call them "uninvited", guests some ppl gets on their parcels. My advice is to, instead of an orb, set up a "Welcome" sign as i always have. Im member of "Forever tourist" too to get more visitors but most weeks i have zero (0) visitors :( (I dont have any visitor counter but i get a report from Forever tourist every week). I have always felt secure in SL, im more careful about who i interact with irl. Even in games iv played where iv been spawn ganked again and again i felt secure, irritated maybee 😆 but still secure ❤️

I too don’t mind people popping in. I have had mainland since 2007 & also land in Bellisseria. I have never used ban lines & I think the last time I used an orb was around 2009. If someone comes on my land while I’m not there, have at it. If I am there, I have a chat to the visitor & if they are there to give me grief or won’t leave when asked they get banned, about 3 clicks of my mouse, hardly frustrating. Most people are just having a look around, have used an old LM or have crashed a vehicle. If I am on my land & not paying attention I sit my avatar so she can’t be pushed or orbited. My furniture is always set to owner or group only so no one can pop in for a cheeky grope. It’s really not that difficult to do.

Every time I land a spot I like; someone moves in with an enormous (often the size of the entire back end of the parcel) out of theme pool.

I like the Ranches, but I can save 29.99 if I can't get away from the swimming pools, haunted houses, palm trees, and other assorted things that seem absurd to me lol.

My first few ranch homes just did nothing for me. Yes, bigger back yards but the front of the houses all seemed to be looking straight into other houses. It felt cramped. Then I got my house in Lumpkin. It’s halfway up a hill, rocks & wheat field on one side, positioned above the road on the other 3 sides. It feels private & I have to cam to really see the neighbours. There are good homes out there, just keep looking Fay. You know you always find the good ones eventually.

If it is so much sex in public view in Bellisseria, and it goes on, it is because nobody report it. I doubt the moles have time to go around and inspect peoples yard furniture.🤣

People moved on. We are adults here, perhaps 1 of 100 would AR it.

But if somebody filed an AR, with attached screenshots, the adult furniture would be returned with the message of why it was returned.

Would the owner set it out again and ignore the warning? Yes, he could. Unless it was AR'ed again, he would not hear more about it. If he continue to ignore the rules and the same person is caught repeatedly, I think it would be a limited time ban before a permanent ban.

I have no idea if this is correct. But it is the way LL deal with other break of rules in Bellisseria. Like extending your things out in public land and block others from using it. It is no "Bam, you are banned" with the first transgression.

    @Abnor Mole?

I don’t report it because it doesn’t bother me. The sim wide moaner, I took a look & was very disappointed with the animations 😀. It just seemed from other comments that there are some people who love to AR any hint of sex outside of adult sims.

  6. I’m finding this whole discussion very enlightening. The whole ‘sex in M rated sims’ issue is something I’ve never really thought about & it’s interesting, & thought provoking trying to decipher the rules. In Bellisseria I’ve seen tons of outside adult furniture, a yard full of bondage equipment, lots of people having sex, group sex, loud (sim wide loud) sex, a brothel & a barn & house full of adult milking machines. I’ve lived on mainland on & off for 17 years in all ratings & seen the same sorts of things (I had a sex club next to me on a G rated sim). I never realised how big a problem it is or how vague the rules were. The only thing I’ve AR’d was the milking machines because of the lag it was creating. Sex is a huge part of SL & so it should be. It’s a huge part of the human experience & isn’t that while we are here? The experiences? Maybe it’s time LL grew with its client base & made the rules crystal clear. Yes, we need the adult areas as some experiences are not for everyone but people shouldn’t have to worry about being AR’d for fun times on their own property. More adult land is a must if the ambiguity continues, although I don’t think it will bring down prices.

    Sirens Rock, Bellisseria

    Farewell, Sirens Rock

Goodbye, sweet Sirens Rock.  I hope your next owner loves you as much.  I just abandoned so she is in the pool right now ❤️.

What absolutely gorgeous pics. I hope the new owner loves it as much as you obviously do.
