  1. For me, if a male avatar is wearing female clothing and "presenting" as a female, it makes the avatar CD/TV/TG, NOT The player "behind the curtain." It just feels more "real" to me... As I said about my Sims experiences, my girls start out as male, but with use of in-game and 3rd-party tools, they end up as beautiful women. In the game itself, they still have male voices and mannerisms (this too can be changed). The satisfaction is the knowledge that the girl you see is not what she appears to be, I don't have any "before' pictures, but here's an example (I hope I'm not breaking any rules here...I don't want to make any enemies here, seeing as I only just arrived...I'm not trying to promote The Sims or anything, I'm just hoping you may see where I'm coming from): Although she looks 100% female, she's actually male. In the game itself, her "voice" is kinda boyish, she's attracted to girls, and her mannerisms are male for the most part. It's the ILLUSION that she's female that makes her appealing. Just creating a female in SL and SAYING she's transgendered would cheapen the experience for me...
  2. See, I'm one of the owners/administrators at TransgenderSims.com (and a mod at Simmergirl.com). We've been making boys and men in beautiful women in the Sims 2 and Sims 3 games for years now, and I wanted to see what Second Life had to offer on the same subject. With Sims 2, we had a community that created skins, clothing , and meshes specifically designed to "transform" males to females. It's even easier with Sims 3. It's one thing to be male and play a female character, but to have your male avatar present as female is so much more appealing to me. But if I can't have the shoes, I may as well do itthe "regular way."
  3. Wow, bummer on the shoes....there's so many amazing women's styles available!
  4. Thank you for your fast replies! You've helped me so much! I didn't want to start downloading women's clothes I won't be able to use...
  5. Hi! I just signed up for Second Life today. I'm having trouble logging in, so I was looking around the Marketplace for items I might want to buy/download. I'm interested in playing Second Life as a male-to-female transvestite/crossdresser. What I want to know is if I can find women's clothing I can use for this purpose? Is it possible to "convert" clothing between genders in SL? Sorry if this has been asked before, but Google has been no help to me so far. Thanks, Dawna
