  1. As I recall when that TOS agreement comes up, you have to scroll all the way through the text, to the end of the Terms. Once you reach the end of that text you will see the check box that allows you to accept the terms. When I accepted the TOS, I had to do the acceptance twice, scroll through the text and then check the box two times, before it would accept me.
  2. Ok .. I should not have made that comment, I'm sorry. I just felt bad for this person, sounding like they want to play s/l so bad but cannot. You two are the ones that have put up with them long time it sounds like.

This may not be exactly the answer you were looking for, but one thing I check when I think I should have recieved an item and cannot find it in my inventory is to check my transactions history on my dashboard. If you did get the item it will be listed there and the exact name of it will be listed there as well. Once you have the name and you know that you indeed did get it, you can search your inventory for it using the items name.
  4. Are the items that are not rezzed really not there or can you just not "see" them. I had this problem one time with a building that appeared to have walls missing from time to time. The walls were there, for example you could not walk through them, but you could not see them. It turned out ot be the texture that was used on the wall. The texture had an alpha channel in it and this caused the walls to at times disappear from sight.

I guess you will not be able to get help here,:womansad: appears that altho there are no official Linden Lab folks here answering questions, there are those that have decided to put more effort into telling you not to ask questions and why you should not ask questions (when you obviously have not got help yet) because you are annoying them. I hope that you figure out what is wrong and are able to enjoy s/l soon. I tried to give some halp but the question keeps getting marke answered and moved around, making it very difficult to find it and reply.
  6. Hi, I play them all the time, here are some suggestions to add to the ones you were given already. The suggestion about asking for some advice / help from other players is usually a good idea (unless they look busy playing a game) and it is a good way to make friends. In addition nearly every game in the gaming areas (there are no casino's in s/l) will have a "how to play" information note card that you can get by clicking on the machine and choosing information. If the game does not have that feature, somewhere nearby you will find a sign that has directions and information about how to play and how to score the game. The most important thing to look for is the Free game .. these are like practice games, they cost nothing to play and you cannot win anything, but you can play the game and see what it takes to win (and lose .. LOL ). Hope this helps and you have some fun at it

  8. May I ask for a little more information, then perhaps we can work you through this; 1. You say you are co-owners of the land, does that mean the land is Group Owned and you and your friend are co-owners of the group? 2. When your friend posts the Event, can you confirm that he/she is getting the Parcel name showing up in locations? 3. What size is your parcel and what settings do you have for age in the land (G,M,A)? Thanks and I hope this can be worked out for you, Events can be quite fun
  9. You should thank the vampire of course, just think, If you walk past a mirror will you only see from your chest up and from your legs down now ... your perfect for wearing mesh outfits and you won't need the alpha layer (at least for 9 months)!
  10. I had that same problem and also problems with viewing my Support History. I was told that the problem was due to my using IE Explorer, I cannot remember all the technical reasons. I can tell you that I switched to Google Chrome and since then have not had any of those problems. If you are using IE Explorer, maybe try something else. :matte-motes-smitten:
  11. To make a long story short, I have this item in my inventory. It doesn't matter what the object is or what it does. For the curious it is a dance hud with dance animations inside it. The hud is No Copy / Transfer. The animations inside it are also No Copy / Transfer. The reason I say it doesn't matter what the object is, is because I don't care if the hud is ever useable again. What I want are the 110 dance animations that are inside it. The problem is this, I talk to LL and they keep trying to get me to go to the Creator of the Hud to have him fix it because they say the scripts are broken and only he can fix them. I cannot seem to make them understand that I DO NOT WANT THE HUD. (sorry for shouting). I want to get what is inside the hud out of it, plain and simple. I originally put the animations in the hud and I could easily take them back out .. If I could figure out a way to get at them (the animations inside the hud). Maybe that's impossible, I am almost sure that if I rez it it will disappear from my inventory (no copy) and it will not rez in-world. I say that because I had another exact same hud and animations with the exact same problem and it is gone .. poofed .. and LL says that one is non-recoverable. Does anyone have a suggestion? EDIT - Thank you for the answer. I suppose you are right about having to eventually rez it in world to get the animations out of it. I would do as you suggested and wear it, edit it and remove them if I could. You see, the reason LL keeps telling me I need to take it to the creator to "fix" is because they feel something is broken in the hud and it will not attach to my avatar. I tried an endless list of suggestions from LL on how to get it to attach and all fail. It leaves me even more unsettled about what will happen on rez and basically no choice other than to rez it .. catch 22 EDIT - Just thought that you all might like to know that LL had me rez the object on the beta server to see if it was ok there and it went poof just like the first one did. LL says it too is now unrecoverable. Sighs.
  12. Many skin creators are now offering "layers" for make-up that you wear. These are on the tattoo layer and will cover the existing makeup and replace it with a new look. You should see if there is a demo of the make-up packs to try on your skin before you buy it, if the make up pack is not made by the same creator as the skin, it may not fit the painted shape of the skin. This would be my recommendation on fixing the look around the eyes. The packs that are offered generally are for lip gloss and for eye makeup
  13. I am not sure which HUD system you have, it sounds a lot like the Henmations one that I am using. You first put your animations into the hud. Then you wear the hud. After that you press the "Set-up" button on the hud. That should take you to a screen to make your playlists. If that is not working I suggest you IM the creator of the hud and ask them what could be wrong. I know that sometimes the web server for the dance setup can be down, but the note card from the hud says that should be rare and short time only.
  14. Rebooting the router is a very good idea, you may need to look for a small button on the back or side if the unit has a battery back-up built in. It will retain it's memory if it has this battery back-up and you will need to push in and hold the button for several seconds (usually count to 10). Not knowing what kind of router you have this may clear things like passwords and DNS names internal in the router and you may have to put that information back in.
  15. Early this morning I was at a dance club with very high lag. I was wearing two dance huds (on my Hud screen) and using one to dance. It stopped working, no longer was I animated and I could not use the buttons on the hud to stop or start dances. I then tried to use the second dance hud and it did not work either. This dance club is sitting so that half of it is in one sim and the other half is located in a second sim. The second half is generally lower lag so I decided to cross over the sim line to the lower lag side. As I crossed the sim, I was pushed back and was given a notification that there was a problem with my avatar being able to cross sim lines and that if it persisted, I should relog. I tried a few more times, the problem remained so I relogged (using the log in at my last location) when I returned. Apparently the sim where I was at was full because when I returned, I was sent to one of those places where you go when the sim is down and you log in. The lag there was horrible and I had to try many many times to get out of there to my home. When I got to my home I discovered that both dance huds still did not work so I removed them to inventory and was going to put them back on to see if that would reset them. Since removing them, I cannot put either one back on (there is no message stating why it won't go on). I was told to rez one in world to see if it would reset. It was no copy / transfer and when I rezzed it, it left my inventory and did not rez in world. Now I have one hud missing altogether (worth about 30,000L$) and one hud that I cannot wear or use (worth about another 25,000L$). I have tried all of the things to do for "Missing Inventory" at the LL help site. Cleared cache, relogged, looked in lost and found, I have tested the hud attachment points with other items all are fine. Of all my huds, these two are the only ones that will not attach. I have also "replaced outfit" with a clean shape, skin and no huds, this did not help either. I have submitted a ticket but after 12 hours there is no response from LL. Can anyone recommend anything more I can do at this time? Thank you for the answer, however, I do not know at this time if they are stalled or not. The problem I am having and trying to get some help with is that fact that one is lost in world and the other one is in my inventory but I am unable to put it on (it will not attach).
