  1. Hi DD and Sayrah, Which regions have been double rolled?
  2. Hi Ayesha, Just to confirm, was the crash a Viewer or Server crash? And "Second login TP out successful TP back no stream sound though stream info showing in local and no AO walk sound or other avatar sounds though all other sounds playing as normal. All sounds including stream and AO walk play normally on a Magnum sim." Are these symptoms reproducible? Thanks, Caleb
  3. Second Life Server (Main Channel): No updates this week.   ////// (IMPORTANT: The RC rolls have been scheduled for tomorrow on Tuesday 29th) Second Life RC BlueSteel, RC Magnum, and RC LeTigre: BlueSteel, Magnum, and LeTigre are getting a new project this week.  This project is another one with fixes for some crash modes https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_BlueSteel/13 https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_Magnum/13 https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_LeTigre/13 ////// (IMPORTANT: The RC rolls have been scheduled for tomorrow on Tuesday 29th)     We will be monitoring this thread as the code gets released, so feel free to note any observations you have about the server updates.  If you have a specific bug you'd like to report, please file a Jira.
  4. Thanks Ayesha, You answered my question before I was even able to post it. Thanks!
  5. Hi Dagger and all who are confused by my previous statement as it was incorect. SSA should be on all Main Channel and RC Channels. What happens to the RC Channels whenever we have a new Main Channel release, is that they get merged together. In other words, RC Channels contain the feature set of Main Channel plus more. If for any reason, the RC Channels are exhibiting a different behavior from the set of features in the Main Channel, we want to have it reported via JIRA. Sorry about the confusion!
  6. Hi, 1) Is SSA going to be on all channels as of tomorrow's rolls I made a mistake in my statement. The code that is on Main Channel should exist on ALL RC channels as well It's only going to be on the channel called Second Life Server which amounts to the majority of regions. 2) If not, why not? RC (for Release Candidate) regions contain code that is newer than the main channel. AND that build is merged with the Main Channel code As for the region shut down fix, they are essentially on all RC channels and are functionaly the same. Magnum only has a prettier warning text. C
  7. Second Life Server (main channel) Server Side Appearance (SSA) project is getting promoted to the main channel on 2013-08-20. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Server/13#13.07.26.279129   Second Life RC BlueSteel This project fixes some bugs related to LSL scripts in child prims of linksets, and also addresses some server crash modes.  (The same project from last week's roll) https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_BlueSteel/13#13.08.16.279995   Second Life RC LeTigre This project fixes some bugs related to LSL scripts in child prims of linksets, and also addresses some server crash modes. (LeTigre now contains the the same build as this week's RC BlueSteel) https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_LeTigre/13#13.08.16.279995   Second Life RC Magnum This project includes a few internal bug fixes which shouldn't show any visible changes to the residents. (This project was moved from LeTigre to Magnum this week) https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_Magnum/13#13.08.17.280013   We will be monitoring this thread as the code gets released, so feel free to note any observations you have about the server updates.  If you have a specific bug you'd like to report, please file a JIRA.
  8. Hey Guys, Thank you for raising your concern about LeTigre. The reason for that is simple, and has not so much to do with the SSA project itself. We needed to move forward putting a new project in the RC pipeline, while BlueSteel was rerolled with a fix for the notorious grey box issue, and we were keeping the same SSA project build on Magnum for another week to collect more data. Our hope is that with the data that we have been collecting for Magnum + (LeTigre and Magnum) from the previous weeks we can confidently say that it's ready for prime time. Thank you for your patience. Caleb
  9. KaumNoch Hoffnung, Please, file a jira ticket with all the information that is available to you describing the situation. The name of the agents The time it was observed Regions in which it occurred Thanks, Caleb "Ein bisschen Hoffnung gibt es schon noch, gell"
  10. Hi Pierre, The final time before region shut down is 60s in which you can't rez from inventory or enter the region. Thanks, C
  11. Second Life Server (main channel) No updates on the main channel https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Server/13#13.07.19.278836   Second Life RC BlueSteel Server maintenance project.  This project fixes some bugs related to LSL scripts in child prims of linksets, and also addresses some server crash modes. Also includes the much discussed "grey box issue" fix. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_BlueSteel/13#13.08.12.279746   Second Life RC LeTigre LeTigre is on a new server maintenance project.  It only includes a few internal bug fixes which shouldn't show any visible changes to the residents. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_LeTigre/13#13.08.12.279749   Second Life RC Magnum No updates on Magnum https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_Magnum/13#13.07.26.279129   We will be monitoring this thread as the code gets released, so feel free to note any observations you have about the server updates.  If you have a specific bug you'd like to report, please file a JIRA.
  12. Hey Guys, The is a fix coming out for this grey box issue. Stay tuned for the upcoming release notes. Thank you all for the reports. C
  13. Hi Jack and Innula, My apologies, but I may have jumped the gun on this JIRA VWR-13228 "Object can obtain and retain permissions indefinitely without avatar's knowledge and no way of knowing who took it". The server change to fix this issue is in place for Wednesday. However, the current viewer doesn't support this change yet. I am going ahead and take it down from the fixed category. Thanks, Caleb
  14. Second Life Server (main channel) No updates on the main channel https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Server/13#13.07.19.278836   Second Life RC BlueSteel BlueSteel is on a new server maintenance project.  This project fixes some bugs related to LSL scripts in child prims of linksets, and also addresses some server crash modes. https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_BlueSteel/13#13.08.02.279482 Scheduled Wednesday 2013-08-07 07:00-11:00 PDT   Second Life RC Magnum and Second Life RC LeTigre: No updates on Magnum and LeTigre https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_LeTigre/13#13.07.26.279129 https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_RC_Magnum/13#13.07.26.279129   We will be monitoring this thread as the code gets released, so feel free to note any observations you have about the server updates.  If you have a specific bug you'd like to report, please file a JIRA.
  15. I tried is as well, and wasn't able to see this issue. Do you know how many avatars were close by at that time?
  16. Thanks so much for helping me test the region crossing build. I think we have found quite a few issues today and I'd like us to file them as jiras, but assign them to me directly. Also, please, add "Region Crossing: " in the subject line for easy searches.
  17. Testers would like to bring their testing objects over to ADITI, please pack them up and drop them off on 'Sandbox Goguen' (AGNI) by 15:30 PST. I will then import that simstate to its ADITI counterpart.
  18. Also for those who cannot make it today on Wednesday 4pm PST, feel free to poke around the regions and use the vehicle or moving devices from your personal inventory. I also encourage you to try out different kinds of attachments to test that region crossing doesn't fail.
  19. Hi Perrie, "Will we be needing to use the official viewer or do you want TPV's also?" Since this a backend change, you may chose to use the official viewer or TPV. "Will you be providing the Mesh Vehicles for us to use during the test?" I have dropped a really generic mesh vehicle based on the Library Kart. secondlife://Aditi/secondlife/GC Test 9/143/112/23 "Do we need to be a member of a special group as we had to in the last Pile On?" Just make sure to become a member of the Second Life Beta group Please, let me know if there is anything else to be sorted out. Thank you, Caleb
  20. In an upcoming server build, Linden Lab has changed the way agents and their attachments get carried over in the event of a region crossing. And we need your help to test region crossing in a pile-on fashion.   On Wednesday, December 19th at 16:00 PST (Pacific Standard Time) please join IRC (EFNET -> #sltest) to launch Second Life and join us via the following SLurl GC Test 9   For those, who would like to bring their testing objects over to aditi, please pack them up and drop them off on 'Sandbox Goguen' (AGNI) by 15:30 PST. I will then import that simstate to its ADITI counterpart. The details of the tests are here https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Threaded_Region_Crossing_Beta_Tests In the meantime, please let us know if you need access the the test regions mentioned on the wiki or have additional questions.
