It's funny seeing so many familiar names popping up on the map now. Hi to all my neighbours @Elora Lunasea, @momomoonusagi, @Nika Talaj, @Cara Fanbridge, @Flower Caerndow, @Laurelrose Anthony and anyone else I forgot or missed in Well Springs and neighbouring regions. (Nika, have you moved recently?) Anyway back on topic, I edited things in my home a little - mostly in my back yard. I also swapped out my porch for a lower LOD version to save another 10 or so LI (and the crumble isn't so bad anyway). With that I managed to save I put towards Halloween decorations and posted a pic of that here. I kept the backyard uncluttered but I've incorporated two things I use most often; the kiddie pool so I can sit in it with Riley under the umbrella, and the fire from Botanical. I also changed the seating under the back patio since I wasn't making use of the BBQ and outdoor dining set. (The set below is from DDD; very LOW LI and a good range of animations). This feels far more relaxing now and it's where I spend most of my time. I think I would in RL too! ^ View from back of house (step outside back door). ^ Other side. You can't see him but behind the sofa is my lazy cat Opie cooling off in the shade. It's a hard life.

^ This. Originally I'd been watching regions being built and would fall in love with certain parcels. There was one in Jamesborough that I absolutely fell in love with across the road (and river) from my first ever Bellisseria house - and I didn't get it. Then I had my heart set on one in Sweetmarsh, and Pantelleria, and Goodbury. The same thing happened; I didn't catch any much less the ones I wanted. I did manage to catch a house in Donovan in quite an ideal location for many behind the beach at Puffin head. I liked that parcel and tried to love it, but after a month or so still wasn't feeling it. So I let it go. I just wanted a home on the beach; at this point any would do (so long as it wasn't near house boats due to the lag). I knew what kind of land I wanted at least, that much never wavered throughout the search. Then I managed to catch a sandy parcel in Axim. I was so happy I finally had my beach house... (well, my alt did) but I still wanted that particular one on Well Springs. I spent weeks agonizing over it. Watching the map. Refreshing literally for hours in the hopes of just getting closer. I knew my chances were slim. It was the one time when I really was working myself up into a state; staying awake all night just in case it was released. Watching forums. Watching all the dots coming and going on that particular corner of the map. Enduring hours of mindless chatter in the groups waiting for the magic words. And then Well Springs was released... Low and behold I managed to catch a house! BUT it wasn't the one I wanted. It wasn't the one I had my heart set on. 'Never mind', I told myself, 'I will just settle in and make the most of it. I'm not going to do any better'. And you know what happened? I realized very quickly that I had actually caught a better house than the one I though I had wanted for so long. I have one neighbour and unlike the one I wanted it's not overlooked by houses that have a direct view into my yard. It was perfect. It feels perfect and I couldn't be happier (unless house boats or something are built close by, and who knows, the map hasn't finished being filled out yet so we shall see). So finally I have a sandy beach parcel in my name and my alt has been downgraded back to basic. I don't have to search anymore. I've moved around a lot over recent months all in the pursuit of this perfect house and this feeling of contentment others said they had experienced. Now I finally understand. So in my blind pursuit of chasing what I thought was perfect I actually found a home that fits me better. It can happen because it did for me! There's no reason to think it won't happen for other people. There's my happy long-winded rant for the day, and good luck to those that are still looking. Read all the posts, thought I'd throw caution to the wind and tried to log in. Nada. Never mind. Not being able to log in is a minor inconvenience. Considering we're well versed in bush fires here Down Under my thoughts and concerns lay with the real more so than the virtual. Took Riley Trick or Treating early. We visited around twenty five regions and parcels tonight, initiated by the PAL Park Trick or Treat hunt. Some homes are amazing! Would have been nice to dress her as a mini-Medusa but had to make do with a baby Skeleton instead. Clearly she doesn't mind.

This is ADORABLE! Is it bad I just want to hug you? Yes, I am a self-confessed crazy cat lady. But that face and the cute dress and the sparkly shiny, I can't help it!! 😲 ❤️ Also I think I may have developed a crush on @Catrie. I don't think it's possible you know how to take a bad photo, ever! 🤩 ❤️

If you really want a house in her name then there will come a point you have no choice but to use her to try for a house, come what may. If you're looking for a specific piece of land, as in a certain type like ocean side that is limited when compared to the number of in-land parcels then the window on those are closing (unless you wait for more to be made or try for one of the campers currently being built on the water's edge on the main continent of Bellisseria as we speak). Or of course you can just keep rolling the dice and hope to catch the perfect abandon. Stranger things have happened. You could catch your perfect lot and then the newest style of homes roll out and the process of catch and release starts all over again. Right now it's a risk we're all taking. Out of curiosity, what type of land are you after? Bottom line if you know what you want and you want it in Marianne's name then make her do the chasing. If you don't care which account has it then it doesn't matter who you log in. But if you do catch your perfect lot then your alt is still free to try for one of the new styles whenever they get here, without you risking a thing. if the alt does the hunting now and catches your perfect home then you may still be tempted to keep chasing with Marianne to get one in her name. It doesn't really solve your problem. At the end of the day I think you need to ask yourself what you really want then you might have a better idea how to approach it. Regarding catching between alts; I know you tried but I'd suggest (and I think others have to elsewhere on the forums) that doing so when a majority of SL is quiet (very early morning SLT) might be better than any time after 7:00am. That seems to be the time I start seeing more abandons pop up as people prepare for what they anticipate will be a region release for that day. Maybe you tried that, I don't know. It's the only thing I could think of since it's all a game of chance we really don't have control over. Good luck with whatever you decide!

You're not alone. There were periods when I thought along the same lines as I didn't see anything at all for days though I had Auto Refresh running all weekend. But @Atina0 is right; sometimes even auto won't catch anything. Even when manually refreshing you need to be careful and make sure you check the drop-down/style menu for Bellisseria. During the Well Springs release I didn't. I manually refreshed and saw nothing, used all 10 tries, logged out and logged back in again and only THEN remembered to check the drop-down menu and saw Bellisseria there. If I had kept on manually refreshing waiting for it to show at the top of the list I would have missed the house altogether. Sometimes Auto Refresh catches it, sometimes it doesn't. It just pays to be vigilant. Don't rely on Auto all the time to find you a house. It might, but especially during release times or "peak"** abandon times manually refreshing will give you better odds of catching a house than Auto will. ** Generally Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, starting from around 7am SLT onward, though times can and do vary.

Thanks to @Rhonda Huntress for the awesome gift!❤️ As soon as I put it on I knew what I had to do. Take a picture! So this is the result. Taken in my back yard in Bellisseria tonight. No fancy post-processing. Just Ultra graphics, Orwar's light, Skell's idea of slowing animations, de-rendered a few trees and rocks to un-clutter the background, and used Windlight; Paris 2 or something like that. That's it! Thanks again Rhonda! 🥰👍

Probably this one (but don't quote me). The last few pages have seen posts about homes people have caught but are going to abandon; Try there.

I am afraid to move now. I don't want to move for the first time... ever! Actually I'm afraid when I open the Land tab I may accidentally press the abandon button after house hunting so long. There needs to be a way to double-lock it down. Don't just ask once if I'm sure, ask me several times. Better yet shake the screen with an alert sound like a region restart. Even then I'll probably still worry... 🤔

I sincerely hope you feel better soon given you sound to have enough to worry about on your plate. I can't help (which sucks, I like to be a problem solver where I can) but I did want to tell you to hang in there and not give up. It probably sounds like a hollow sentiment coming from someone who is happy with her lot but prior to the Well Springs release I caught and released several other water-side parcels that had been abandoned expressly because I had my eye on a certain lot in a certain area (and oddly I didn't get the one I wanted but I ended up with one better, so it does happen). It's actually stunning to see the kinds of lots that people are giving up now for one reason or another, whether it's a change, to try the new shiny, or for their ideal location. Lately I've been hearing from people giving up beach parcels because they don't like sand and want green grass or cliffs or some other "thing" and it blows my mind because that was all I had wanted for months and couldn't catch until the one in Axim (that my alt caught) which was also an abandon. Like you I had thought the odds of scoring anything beach-side would be remote. Since landing in Well Springs a few days ago I've seen 2 houses change hands already with talk amoungst the neighbours there may yet be a third. I know the map is shrinking in terms of new coastal releases and there's some degree of certainty catching a release compared to an abandon, but again it's not yet over and Bellisseria is still being built. As more regions open the more some people need to have that; they can't let go of the rush of the game that house-hunting has become for them. And that's their right. I know none of that helps you right now. After all this time I'm assuming you've heard all this before and it means little. But the sentiment is genuine. You're a kind person who deserves some good and I'm hoping the universe delivers even if at the moment it all seems a little hopeless. If I can help in some way (I don't know how; hear or see something perhaps?) I will try. Hang in there. I hope you get your perfect home (and health or sense of peace) soon. *hugs* 😊

Sorry if this has been answered before (I looked, maybe not hard enough?) but could you possibly tell me where the hair is from? I think I want it! Nope... definitely MUST have it! Is the hair base included? (Always important to ask as some creators are including them now as part of the mesh). Not sure if it helps but if you were looking for feedback on the shape just raise the lips corner a smidgen. Arched brows can be sexy or scary but less angled brows might soften the "pout" if that's what you want. Personally I love the look. There's far too many perfect beings out here in the SL-universe, a generally disapproving look (?) might be the one thing that sets you apart from the rest.

*waves* Hiya neighbour! I've been watching (obviously) and I LOVE the beachy vibe you have created so far. Very relaxing. It's a great set up and breath of fresh air to be in a neighbourhood where nothing needs to be de-rendered! ❤️

For my original Linden Home: I think it was one of the Quad homes; one of those with the courtyard and a fireplace and track lights on the ceiling. I had a bedroom and kitchen and living room but no bathroom. That annoyed me from the start. I think that was what actually started me down the path of building, as basic as that was at the time. While I had it set up as a home I never really used it as one. Eventually I moved into a rental on a private region (Giano). Once I moved there I used my Quad as a photo studio. I had a wall of photo frames set up and a small photo studio that I would visit to update my profile pic. I moved around several times to get a different style and decorate but again, rarely used them as homes. Just a place to rez or change before I went somewhere else. Once I moved onto private regions, and after that Mainland, I never went back to that particular Linden Home. Until the new Linden Homes were released of course. For my first non-Linden Home: My first ever house was in Giano, a private region created I think for role play or semi-role play. The region is still there but the first house I ever paid rent on isn't there anymore. The styles have changed and the area doesn't look like I remember it. It's a bit of a shame but in saying that the old house then was prim and several hundred LI. Knowing what I know now regarding sim (region) building it makes sense to replace old for new and sell the saved LI to residents or add to extra decor. The house was also HUGE! Far bigger than I really needed with multiple bedrooms and just far too much space. But I met one of my SL "sisters" there (and we still talk to this day); she was my neighbour at the time. My Giano home was where I learned to RP in SL. I had my first prim baby there. I had a lot of fun. It all seemed so innocent now. I have been back but now I know its not the same I don't see the point of going back again. I still have the photos somewhere though! For my first (Gen 2) Linden Home : I was lucky enough to stumble into the forums just before the original homes were rolled out. As such I managed to snag one in Stine in the first release. I was there for 3 months. It was set on a hill at the top of a row of steps. There was such an excitement that felt different (at least to me) than it has since; people were wandering the street and just mingling in ways I'd never experienced since joining SL. I did enjoy my time there. But as more regions were being built I felt restless and wanted a change. Thus my foray into house-hopping began. I actually went back to the original house just today because of this topic and it's good to see it's currently occupied and in use. I did like the place while I was there; Riley was "born" there! But I don't feel the need to go back anymore. I am happy with the house I have now. I've lost count of the amount of regions I've owned and houses or land I have rented both on Mainland and private regions. I'm happy to sit here a while and enjoy it.

Traditional (or traditionals, plural) spotted just now. Refreshed about 5 times and still showed as there but when I logged back out and in they/it was gone.

.... Sigh. The word (sigh) irks me. It reeks of drama in a "I want someone to ask me what's wrong but don't have the wherewithal to just speak like an adult" type way. 😑

I've got my fingers crossed for that beach spot in Well Springs buuuuut as it's getting close to midnight (and bedtime here) probably not going to happen. Also haven't spotted ANYTHING for a few hours. Not after an hour of manual refreshing and 3 hours auto... Correction: house boat just spotted now 6:27 am SLT

Went shopping for a lamp at Fancy Decor and ended up taking a photo. Not entirely happy with the hair but this almost feels like a candid pic, so it's a keeper!
