  1. Did you install Skydrive or iCloud or similar software recently? They are reported to cause uploading/downloading problems.
  2. In addition to Rolig's superb answer, another trick effective for me is logging in with low render quality. 1. Start viewer 2. Before log-in, Me - Preference - Graphics - Set "Quality and Speed" to Low, press OK 3. Log-in 4. After your AVI is rezzed, change Graphics setting to whatever you want
  3. If you are using Firestorm, you can stop it by, Preference -> Firestorm -> Avatar -> disable "Enable selection beam"
  4. If you are using Firestorm V4, try following to adjust camera position and angle. CTL + Mouse Scroll to adjust camera position up/down Shift + Mouse Scroll to adjust camera angle up/down This adjustment is not canceled by ESC key or AVI walking, so be careful!
  5. You should go back to the restore point just before you installed drivers using syetm restore function on windows7. Then make sure everything is alright and retry dirver update. btw, the blender2.49b does not work on nvidia 306-97 driver, but windows update always try to install it! grrrrr
  6. I have never made such prim, but i think it is possible by llFrand(generate random number) and llRotateTexture and llScaleTexture.
  7. Cameraoffset of your viewer might be in weird value. Try this: Login CTL+ALT+Shift+S ->Debug settings windows will appear search cameraoffset select CameraOffsetRearView click Reset to default button If camera angle does not return to normal, reset all other CameraOffsetxxxx values to default
  8. Be sure to select Category in addition to fill in all required fields. If you forget to select category, item won't be active with no error message.
  9. Your PC fails with different networks, so it means problem is in your PC. I recommend to stop security software temporarily. If still fails, you may consider to restore system status to the point where just before you once successfuly logged in if your PC is windows7.
  10. If you are using a router in your home, try bypass it. Connect your PC to network modem directly and see if you can login or not. Some modem has a router function in it(usually it has multiple LAN connectors). In that case, you should use Bridge instead of Router to connect multiple PCs. Otherwise, you may get unexpected slow response which eventually causes login problem.
  11. You should try searching object using area search of Firestorm by owner name(your username). If object was rezzed under the land or floor due to some reason, it is impossible to find it unless you use area search. That likely occurs if you switch the land scene(ex:mutil-scene skybox) after you rezz it. If it is no copy object and you had rezzed it just before region restart, unfortunately it would have been totally lost.
  12. Some door scripts which use llSetRot/llGetRot may not work as expected when linked. You should leave such the door unlinked. Scripts use llSetLocalRot/llGetLocalRot will work even if linked.
  13. You can control information shared by others in the Privacy tab on Edit profile. Also you can hide your groups by CTL+SHift+G, select a group you want to hide, click Info, uncheck Shown In My Profile. However the best way(IMHO) to avoid stalking is to make an alt and move home at the same time.
  14. Maybe land owner is inhibiting sounds in a parcel. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-your-parcel/ta-p/700113#Section_.6.4 ETA Look at parcel sounds property screen in the above URL. There is a selection of Everyone or Group. If Everyone is unchecked, only group members are allowed to make sounds in a parcel. Check the parcel details where you can't make sounds, World->Parcel details->Sounds If only group is allowed, you must join a group and have to make group tag active.
  15. Try this. http://annotoole.com/CMFF/
