problem solved. i had recently changed my account password to a 17 character string. it seems sl only allows 16 characters max. so when i logged in, it only looked at the first 16 characters. which matched the first 16 characters of what i THOUGHT was my password. however, when it asked for password verification for an email address change, it looked at all 17 characters. which, of course, didnt match. once that was understood, i easily changed my email addresss. thanks for your help.

where is live chat?

i'm trying to change my email contact. it asks for my new email address and my current password. it keeps rejecting my password even tho it is correct. it's the password i used to log in. i have tried doing this in firefox, chrome and IE. same error in all three. i have even copied and pasted the password from the login page. same result. says password is in error. thanks in advance, orion edit> i cant add a reply to yours (i hate this site), but this was posted when i tried to find live chat and the suggestion was to post to the "answers" tab. go figure.
