  1. And maybe you just need to understand that it is the "random" that LL wants to end. It's not rocket science.
  2. LOL YES, that will hurt Linden Lab. While you are at it for the SLexit, send Linden Lab a few huge bags of nuts. I mean, some American CableTV did cave in going further with a tv show that got cancelled. Maybe that will help keeping gachas for your enjoyment around.
  3. Yeah, that is what I mostly do anyways. If I like something, I look for resellers on the MP. Instead of trying to get it from a gacha that most times, gives me things I don't want. It's then cheaper to buy it from a reseller.
  4. A creator, that only relies on the income of gachas, is a creator that only does it for the money. I get it, make as much money as possible and get rich quickly paying out that huge amount of real dollars. Because it is many people that throw in thousands and thousands of L$'s at a gacha. And that is why, it will be a good thing gachas come to an end. Solves getting in debts in the real world too.
  5. Then, I am sorry to say... it is a gacha. Acts as a gacha. Because if you want for example item #12, and currently it is item #4. You have to buy item #4. And next it's gonna be item #9. There is no difference, it doesn't make things better with showing the item you are getting and hovertext..
  6. Fine, I will try to answer your question. The difference is, selling items randomly on that vendor you keep mentioning it is maybe an option to continue, is not at all different. Yes, you can see what is up for sale. But what if someone would not want that what is showing. Have to buy it anyways so the next item shows up? And if that is not the item someone wants. Have to buy it regardless so the vendor shows the next randomized item that will be up for sale? Now, how is that not same as a gacha? Unless, I missed something and a purchase is not required for the next item to show up.
  7. You don't have to edit all your previous posts about this. This new kind of vendor, still acts the same like a gacha.
  8. I really do dislike that new kind of vendor even more where I have to buy every item that shows up randomly. In hopes that finally, finally maybe after 20 items I don't want to have, need to be bought, so the item I do like, comes. That is no difference to any current gacha out there right now. It is the same way.
  9. Maybe, that logic goes up for you... But it doesn't for anyone else, that maybe does not want all of the items that gacha has showing on the picture. You can try to bend it all you want, in the end, it is one random item of about, 20+ other items you might get. And take into account, you ending up with so many duplicates as well. And the duplicates, is probably the whole issue of debate next to all this being random why Linden Lab wants to end gachas. You do not go to a store and buy 20 of the same dress or whatever, or do you?
  10. I had a breedable, a Meeroo. It was male, my friend had a female. I was happy thinking, 'thank gawd, I won't get more of them'. Until the day I logged in to a message, "congratulations. your meeroo just gave birth."
  11. Sure, you do have a right to gamble at casinos that are legal in the real world. You do not have a right to gamble in Second Life as it is forbidden to do so. That is why gambling got banned in Second Life years ago. Pretty much end of the story.
  12. Yeah, because this isn't Jurassic Park where life found a way.
  13. And how would that work out to implement such thing? I am from one of those countries that restricts sales of lootboxes in the real life. To implement such restriction inworld is pretty much a ridiculous thing. Banning residents based on country will only hurt Linden Labs and Second Life. I do not even go to the skilled gaming regions. But your solution is basically a much more crazy one similar to the you know what, travel ban. And you said, 'sims'. Linden Labs should send you to the cornfields for a week.
  14. I really hope not. This would be the worse kind of loophole for gachas to continue. Specially when the prizes are no-trans.
  15. That was already done at a shopping event called Level8 or something, where vendors would only sell a set amount of copies of an item. Even a more recent event called 77street in the past months did have that same setup. Not really new, but could work out.
  16. If a hovertext stating what the next roll would be when someone pays then it wouldn't be a gacha anymore. Then it would only result in many people standing around and snatch it away from you when the hovertext shows, "Pay to get <insert item name> item". Because people do not wait in line. Seen it in MMO's as well.
  17. Yeah, it totally did. Because you just reused mine with a more unlikely fact. Still, mine was a bit more funnier. Anyways, I am done with you.
  18. Yes, I think I will apologize to all the gacha creators that my country, Netherlands, has made an international phonecall to Linden Labs to tell, "if you do not stop gachas in Second Life, we will sue the hell out of you and take more than half of your *bleep*."
  19. Yes, that is considered same as how a gacha works. Pay for something you won't know what will get. Your question and example is even worse since it doesn't list the prizes. It would even fall into the category of, a lootbox.
  20. I actually do not understand your reasoning that you need to play gacha to be able to pay your rent for a home. Reselling is not even a garantee that you can make up to get your rent together, person A lists something for L$50 and the next Person B undercuts Person A and sells that same item for L$45, and so on and so on until someone sells the same gacha for way less than you paid the gacha machine. See, now Gacha will be forbidden soon and now you really can use that money that you would have thrown away at a gacha to actually pay that rent. I just don't get it, I rent too but I am not playing gacha to get the funds together for paying my rent.
  21. Same, and I am putting it here so hopefully the questions will be taken in. I do keep track on watching those bi-weekly viewer meetings on youtube but never gets mentioned, guess it is not for it. So, posting the questions here. Earlier before SL15B, there was a post of 15 things to come this year, but lots has not yet been seen.... 1) Last Names, when is this going to be available. More friends have been wondering and asking. Would love to know when can do all this. 2) One of the 15 things to come was new Linden Homes. Any idea when this is going to be available to choose. 3) And about the plans for Baked on Mesh, would love to know when that is going to be available.
  22. I hope these questions can be asked and answered in the next upcoming Lab Chat, and not dwell on only Sansar thing for 1+ hours where question after question really goes back to what has been said. My questions: 1) Does Linden Labs really take Abuse Reports serious? Is there not a way to talk to someone who is for the Abuse Team inworld. In many cases, the form is limited to a certain number of characters, and it does result that it is not possible to explain things as good about what the Abuse Report is for. I did file reports for very serious things, but that resident was never dealt with at all. It could do whatever it wanted to cause all sorts of problems. I would like to see a point in SecondLife where we can go to, to talk to a Linden Employe and even give more details about the Abuse. 2) Would it be possible, to get more space for making group tags. It is limited to just 20 characters but would be nice if that could be bit longer, even if it has to be for just premium members. A max of 35 characters or even a minimum of 25 characters would be helpful. As I most of the times, coming atleast 5 character sort. This is basically what is coming up for me, hoping these would be answered. Thank you.
  23. To be honest, Linden Labs has never taken Abuse Reports serious. But I sure also want to know how that is even handled. I had to file several abuse reports for a serious case, but that Resident, could stay online and do whatever it wanted.
