  1. It is actually pretty ridiculous. Not only is BROWSING the MP stupidly slow, trying to upload/transfer to the MP is just flat out silly. It takes forever to send anything and once you do finally get your products to transfer, it takes hours to upload images. I know it's not my computer. It does everything else wonderfully fast. But anything to do with the MP, it's like having dialup. They ARE losing money over this. I have creator friends who gave up and stopped uploading items to sell on the MP because it is so painfully slow. I am about to give up myself. SO frustrating.
  2. Hi. i realize this is a super old thread, but this is happening to me now too. All my items are copy (and marked as copy WHILE rezzed inworld, before being taken into my inventory) In the last few weeks, I have some very angry and disgruntled customers. When the bags are rezzed on the ground and the contents looked into, you can see that all of the items are there. However, when the scripts unpack the bags, they get either nothing but an empty folder...or they only get parts of an outfit with other parts missing. This is really frustrating because I have hundreds of items packaged and I don't remember which ones I used the unpack scripts in and which ones are boxed up the old fashioned way. This would mean taking EVERYTHING down and reboxing it all. But worst of all...are all the customers who think I am a flake now.
  3. Eww. I had forgotten I even had those items on the MP. Those are things I made and put on the MP the first 2 weeks I was making things in SL. Definitely keyword spam in those, no doubt about it. Wonder why THOSE didn't get taken down, when they clearly have incorrect keywords in them...and things got taken down that had NOTHING in keywords? Odd. At any rate...the matter has been been fixed. I am no longer experiencing the same issues. Time to take that older stuff down though. Thanks for pointing those out.
  4. Thank you Nalates. I will do that. I have however decided to stop using and posting on the MP for now until things change. Inworld store only. But perhaps filing a report will shed some light and help other merchants as well. Thanks everyone for your advice and input. Cheers!
  5. Thank you Amethyst, that is good advice. I do need to write in some store policies. I am going through and relisting items as we speak...82 yet to go lol Though I am sure they will get taken down again. To test my theory, last night when I restored everything, on a few products I didn't put any keywords at all. I left it blank. Still, it got taken down for "keyword spamming" lol I'd like to mention that the other problem is this: I am not 100% certain that it is even this paticular customer that is doing the flagging. Hence the word "suspect"...it could just as well be a child avatar hater such as the above poster mentioned. Or simply a competetor. Though I would hate to suspect the later...it is possible. My best guess is the scamming customer. One mistake that was made on my own part was that I took the avatar down when the customer told me the shoes were messed up. I tend to be a perfectionist and I was paranoid that something might be wrong with the shoes (this was before the customer sent me the pic of what she had done to the shoes) Now I can't put the avatar back up because I deleted it, checked the shoes (they were fine) and put it back on the MP. This is not allowed. I should have unlisted the product and checked it, then relisted it. I hope that helps anyone who might have the same problem. My own fault for not reading on how to relist products that have been taken down. That one item is just going to be a loss. I can handle that. But the time I'm spending relisting the other products is getting silly. Personally, I have only ever flagged an item once. The item was a very inappropriate outfit for a child avatar. The item is still up and running... how do these moderators work anyway? lol
  6. This morning I did send in the pictures along with another letter explaining everything. I doubt I will get anything other than a robotic response in return. Also, I doubt at this point that "removing the chip off my shoulder" and giving this person money is going to change anything. A rational person doesn't spend that much of their time targeting a single individual. This person clearly has issues. Thanks for the advice though :matte-motes-wink: Also, giving this person money would encourage them to continue this type of behavior with other merchants. Hey, if it worked once...
  7. I am being targeted by what I "suspect" is a customer that tried to swindle me. This person bought a complete avatar, with outfit, from me (this item has a demo) several weeks ago. They recently reviewed the product with a 1 star review saying they weren't happy with the product, stating that a pair of shoes that came with the avatar had "the texture cut off" When I logged in, I sent the person a notecard asking them to show or explain to me what they meant. To my picky eye and OCD mind, I could not find a flaw. Later this person responded by sending me a picture (which I kept) of the shoes with an entirely different texture on them (the shoes were sold as copy/mod no trans) Since the customer comes first, I wasn't going to argue. Rather, I simply sent her a new pair of shoes. She wrote back once the inventory was recieved stating that she wasn't going to change the 1 star review unless I refunded her money. I tried to explain to her that I don't give refunds on items that have a demo. She kept spamming me with the same message, stating that she would change the review if I refund her money. I chose to ignore her at that point. Every day since, every single one of my MP items is getting flagged and taken down for "keyword spam" I have scoured and scoured these items and they do not, in any way, contain any sort of keyword spam. I am having a hard time believing that there is a moderator or admin that reviews the flags. I have even taken pictures of the listed item page to show there is NO keyword spam. I have sent 3 reports. All I got from LL was a robotic letter stating that flagging is allowed and that the moderator must have agreed with the reason the item was flagged. You can't argue with a pre-written letter. I don't know where to go with this. This person has made it a personal vendetta to destroy my store. I do have an inworld store and I feel at this point that my only options are to stop trying to put my items back up on the MP and just use the inworld store. Has anyone else confronted this sort of thing? Am I missing something? Is there something that can be done about this or do merchants just suck it up and lose their MP stores? I can't keep spending time putting my items back up on the store. We are talking tens of dozens of items that are being flagged and taken down daily (all but my free and gift items, which is odd because they aren't listed any differently) Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

  9. Thank you very much! :matte-motes-smile:
  10. Hi everyone! I had a question I was hoping someone could answer. I had an item on the MP that I removed in order to fix a texture. The customer wrote to me and informed me that there was a flaw on a texture. I took the item down, fixed it, reboxed it and reposted it. This morning, I got an email telling me the item had been flagged for spam and can not be put back on the MP. How does one go about taking items down to fix them without this happening? I even put V.2 and at the top of the sales pitch, explained that the textures were improved. Thanks for any advice!

    Confused

Should have read through the forums before I posted Looks like they think that listing an avatar demo under complete avatars is the incorrect category. Where else would/should I list this? The demo includes skin, shape and mesh body part demos.

    Confused

I'm not sure where eles to put this so I opted for this forum. When I got up this morning, there was a message on my Marketplace home page stating that a demo of an avatar was removed but it didn't tell me why. This demo item has been up for over 2 months. I double checked the item in my inventory to be sure it was okay and had the demo in it (just in case it was removed due to customer complaint of some sort) Where do I go to find out why this was removed? And how do I go about making sure this doesn't randomly happen again?
