  1. Currently I am renting out my plot and switching over to a 1/2th sim land, which might get tenants too. I am needing one experienced land sales agent whom can find tenants for vacant plots. The reward depends on the tier of the parcel in question and may vary. You must be social, have a sense of sales and marketing as well as be active on SL and have an account for longer than 30 days. There is no need for application forms, if you've found a tenant, IM me.
  2. I will give a 200L$ finders fee to whomever finds a tenant for this plot.
  3. Hiya. I remember a while ago, sim-sized platforms could be rented, with an amount of prims depending on the payment. Is there anyone still offering this? It's for a rez-day celebration. Please let me know! Short-term. We'd be renting for a week at least, but I'm willing to extend to a month.

  5. Hi everyone. As of a few days ago, I've been working very hard on creating a blog and thus writing unique content for them. At this point I'm working on a parted story about fashion for male avatars in SL. It can be quite hard to find unique and fashionable items for the masculine breed. Biker - scifi and other alternative corners have the overhand in our styling. There's a few quality shops I've found so far, which did clothing in the style I'm looking to find. Here's my list so far, so you have an impression of the clothing I'm looking for: LEVENCHY *COCO* ::theACAPULCOgold.:: Please feel free to link your (favorite) shop in this thread so I can purchase its products and take it into review in one of my blogs. IM me if you wish to see my blog first. I will not post it to avoid misconception that I am advertising it.

I don't think they'll allow you to keep this thread open, seeing as it's the same as asking how to rip an SL creator his work and uploading it to SL. Oh we get lots of requests like this in this forum. People here are very helpful to one and all. Would you claim helpfulness as reason for approval, when it concerns one of your precious homes in your Marketplace store, which got ripped and is about to be converted and sold in a different virtual world than Second Life? I doubt it. Gmod's Terms are so vague (link) I don't know what to make of them. Unless there is another document you agree to when you download it. And what if it was content you created in Gmod? Those are from GMOD itself. Gmod uses the models from Half-life which are protected on themselves. Along with content created by others (such as on steam workshop and the old mod DB) have licenses on their own. As the OP was talking about GMOD content globally, that would mean the models that come with the game. Hey. I'm just trying to keep this person clear of Valve. You may be right that they are talking "Globally," but that is an assumption. So if I'm reading the terms correctly, what is needed is for the OP to check the individual licenses for the particular content. Regardless, the Terms on Gmods site are still very vague. And this highlights a never ending problem with "mesh" content: Knowing the original source. Maybe somewhere else on their site they refer to Half-life but certainly not on that page. And me, individually, I know nothing about Half-life. Thus the more reason to ask....... </snip> The problem was and is that you didn't ask. If you had asked first you wouldn't have needed to apologise. I do understand the trouble with content theft. There are things I know that I don't ever post because of that. But when you shoot first then all you have left is a dead body to question afterwards. You're right. Sorry.
  7. Depends on the permissions of the items. If it's no transfer, you can not.

If the OP is in fact talking about creations he made himself for GMOD, than I apologize. But I think he/she'd be capable of converting these models if they did. There still remains the small chance he or she had it made by someone for GMOD format. By the extend of her post we will never know. Anyhow, I'd rather worry and be a little harsh than too easy in settling these people with tools that could possible lead to even more content infringement.

I am the Host Manager at a new club called Wilde Hearts. Feel free to IM me or send me a notecard in-world. Sometimes my IMs get capped, so notecards are the best way to go. Hope to hear from you soon! -Autumn Rose (autumnrose1128 Resident) Wilde Hearts Host Manager It's not meant to be negative at all. I'm trying to give them some critisisme so that they learn to take themselves and SL seriously. Allowing them to learn a real trade rather than working at some club with no visitors at rates of 1L$ an hour.

  11. Hard to tell. Also depends on the type of hard disk and many other factors all together. Although we can always cling to the minimum requirements of SL, it really depends. If you already bought it, try or use CanIRunIt.
  12. Great tutorial. I followed Gaia's videos although they were a little hard to follow sometimes due to the text-to-speech explanations.
  13. Hello Shika, If you've worked as a model before, you should realise an employer would be interested in seeing your avatar before he contacts you. Please add some pictures as being your "portfolio". Else your post looks very amaturistic.
  14. Hello Azura. Can you please not treat SL like a world where money grows on trees? You want a job but you haven't even told us what you're good at. Why would anyone reading this hire you for anything other than spamming or grieving? Please put more effort into a post like this. Tell us more about yourself and what kind of a job you are looking for. Oh, and do me a favor. Don't reply with "I CAN DO EVERYTHING IM VERY GOOD AT SL". No seriously. If you can build, show us pictures of your buildings. If you blog, give us a blog link. --

  16. On a side-note. Mesh/original DAE's are very easily stolen. Thus why it is quickly mistaken for a template mesh.

  18. In the past, I've kept busy with exploring and even programming copybot possibilities. At the time these bots were only used for innocent purposes, mainly for generating land traffic to gain more visitors and more authority in the SL search. I've never stopped being intrigued by the developments and still actively follow various underground development blogs. Here's the deal: yes, you can DMCA. Sue them even. However, if they're only the slightest bit of practiced at their job: you won't find them in a lifetime. Copybots currently allow you to hide your IP, MAC-adress and viewer details by the ease of a tickbox. Not to mention how they can run these programs by proxy using the preference menu. If they add another layer of proxy. No way in hell you are going to trace them. Trust me. I'm on the creator's side here. But the sad truth is thus. Now, I am not discouraging you to DMCA with LL. Although they won't investigate the DMCA itself, they will investigate user behavior. Which includes checks on suspicious prim-assembly on sims. It will get them banned, and they will get themselves back on the grid in a snap of the fingers. However, their marketplace store will be locked and their balance frozen. I'm not sure about the details, but I'm fairly sure LL charges from the offender his account nowadays to due balance for content theft. Although I can not say for sure. I think you are best off just publishing your products with good trust it won't happen. If it does, a signature won't stop them anyways. Enjoy your time here, creating and publishing things to our virtual world. Worries are cancerous thoughts. Here's a short list of the few things that are a pain in the bottox for copybotters: If you release a demo product, stamp "DEMO" on the textures. Just not one texture of the 5, but ALL textures. It takes them massive times to clone stamp these away to acceptable/mirrored quality. If they see a product with high quality textures DEMO-ed. It's usually not worth their time. Learn to mesh. It's more expensive to copybotters, as they will have to re-upload the 3D model and it's textures. They will also need to know how to rig the models (it is fairly easy, but copybotters are often lazy or dumb). Become friends with other creators and when the incident does come to play, make sure them and your friends report the user. Try to speak with them on other surroundings such as Skype, Steam. If you're a strong minded person and you know how to play onto someone's mind: pretend you are willing to pay them some money if they stop selling your products. Offer to pay via paypal, creditcard or bank. If they are dumb enough to release any of those to you, you have a decent lead to chase them down IRL and sue them. Feel free if you have any other worries or questions about the tech. side of the "dark force of SL". I hope you understand I'm not a copybotter, nor do I take advantage of this technology. I'm a respected programmer in real life, and the only way to fight copybot is to gain knowledge about it. Stef.
  19. Currently I'm pre-employed with Club Coggles. The club opens soon and we need a talented DJ for some other shifts. The owners are great people and will become your friend in SL as you get to know them. They are wonderful. The club is a unique steampunk environment with a modern feel that leaves the door open to both steampunkians as ravers. ++recommended.
  20. Content theft of mesh is fairly easy. With current technology rigging can not be copied. When the mesh is copied, it contains T-pose. Meaning it would take them about 3 minutes to rig it back in themselves.
  21. You should really try and build-up more of a modeling portfolio than "cute stylish". There's a wonderful image tool for posts that you can use to add your pictures. If not, have one or two done at a studio. This shouldn't cost any more than 400L$ and you will have something to show to your employer.
  22. Well, Moi, this thread is only going to ask for a hell of a lot arguments against/defending LL. I've never thought of SL support as brilliant, however I can assure you most of the support-desk employee's of companies like LL give you such responses. They go by the book and only have a small set of solutions they can offer, after which they decide if they will pass your ticket on to line 2/3 (terms for mid-tech and programming department). I think it's safe to say LL doesn't care anymore, however.
  23. Mirina92 wrote: I think having a job and some responsibilities on here might encourage me to stay on here longer (I've been off and on forever). Trust me, earning the few lindens you're looking to make with a non-significant job like dancing, spamming land sales and what not: will not keep you on the grid. See if you have IRL skills you can apply to SL, else learn one of the SL tools. Such as scripting or building. I don't think an employer will take you very serious with only 3 lines, of which 2 are about earning money. You don't go to a job interview IRL and answer the question "why do you want to work for us?" with "L$!!!".
  24. Hiya bud, You could put some more time into your post. Anyone reading this is going to realise you spent about 3 minutes writing this, which doesn't make you very appealing to an employer. Especially when you already have the handicap of being new to Djing. I would seriously consider writing a little more about yourself, the type of club you are looking for and what not you can think of. Also; your best chances are to view threads rather than reading these. It's only rarily people go here to find staff, when they'd rather put up a post asking for people to IM them (it's a lazy boss thing). Good luck though, and good job not letting your impairment getting inbetween.
