Not really. The institutes that deal with these EU-laws are designed to allow easy complaint filing, considering that consumers must be helped easily in order to fight these kind of things. As simple as writing an e-mail. They'll get blacklisted from receiving servers and at some volume of complaints the institute itself will take legal route. I'd say, file a complaint and them mute them. Help the next person out who they would've adressed next.

As I work with e-mailpolicy IRL, I can confirm this is against the law in Europe. I don't know about USA. All e-mails must be subscribed to by an opt-in + confirmation from the e-mailaddress. By any means you can take down the merchant via EU-laws. Not by TOS but by e-mailcode.

SL has been my home for quite a while. 2.759 days to be exact. I count them, not because I hate SL, but because I love it. I've been developing as a programmer for most of my time. And a while ago, I was introduced by a friend to Gaia Clary's awesome tutorials on rigging mesh. I started practicing 3D modelling more and more. We aim to create quality products, that are of high standard and put a smile to a residents face when they have been twitching to buy that -slightly out of budget- product they so eagerly found. We sell various post-apocalypt decorations and complete mesh avatars. This is a growing collection if items I hope to continue to offer to residents, rich and poor. Our vacancy is open to a store manager. You are a talented marketeer with a sharp eye for business and innovation. You know your ways around SL and the opportunities it carries for advertisement and conversion. You strive to use modern marketing techniques such as conversion-attribution and sale strategy. Our team has recently employed an experienced e-mail marketeer and we hope to implement this with customers purchasing our products. Plenty to do in the near future. Primarily we need standard customer binding done such as via SL groups and so forth. I have no history nor relationship to child perversion. This was an upmost cheapshot comparison that is wrong from the core: photographing subjects whom voluntarily visit adult events that allow photography (whom are age verified by the way), is worlds apart from sneaking pictures of children whom are unaware of it and underage. What the F is wrong with you?

Heya Kuky, I think your best chances would be to contact designers, instead of the other way around. There is plenty of bloggers to go around, and I can imagine they are being spoiled and washed down with blogger applications. Chances are this'll go unnoticed. You might want to look at photo editing some more. I like your pictures, but your competing bloggers use higher resolutions and have editted the pictures to look better. Good luck though! Stef

They might respond by altering the land covenant to forbid photography, but that would be a self harming act. Who wants to go to a place where one couldn't take a snapshot if something memorable happened? As for individual avatars getting their undies in a bundle over being photographed, show them the TOS as well. Then recommend that, if they truly don't want to be photographed, the only effective recourse they have is to wear a full body alpha. You can't photograph what the camera can't see. You might also ask them if they've ever taken a photograph of another avatar in SL without asking permission. If so, why all the hypocrisy? This may not help the situation, but the feeling of moral superiority it produces is pleasant. ;-). After the first reply or so from Sassy, I have informed the plaintives with the ToS. I haven't received any reply since. Just now I found out, the one from the e-mail I posted, is actually one of the 8+ "managers". One of the lower ranked officers (they are headed by officers, GM, owners). I think this club in particular has a loose end on behalf of management and have ran out of hand over time. Which now creates chaos as soon as decisions need to be made and/or something that doesn't have a written 1-2-3-step procedure ready. May have been a bit of bad luck on my side. Any other club would have handled this adjacently instead of starting a massive boycot against the photographer. Edit: The big irony of this story, boycot, aggry and harassment towards my door: follower count = 2.
