  1. Ahh sorry. I misinterpreted "mailing list". In that case, you're right. My mistake!
  2. Not really. The institutes that deal with these EU-laws are designed to allow easy complaint filing, considering that consumers must be helped easily in order to fight these kind of things. As simple as writing an e-mail. They'll get blacklisted from receiving servers and at some volume of complaints the institute itself will take legal route. I'd say, file a complaint and them mute them. Help the next person out who they would've adressed next.
  3. As I work with e-mailpolicy IRL, I can confirm this is against the law in Europe. I don't know about USA. All e-mails must be subscribed to by an opt-in + confirmation from the e-mailaddress. By any means you can take down the merchant via EU-laws. Not by TOS but by e-mailcode.
  4. SL has been my home for quite a while. 2.759 days to be exact. I count them, not because I hate SL, but because I love it. I've been developing as a programmer for most of my time. And a while ago, I was introduced by a friend to Gaia Clary's awesome tutorials on rigging mesh. I started practicing 3D modelling more and more. We aim to create quality products, that are of high standard and put a smile to a residents face when they have been twitching to buy that -slightly out of budget- product they so eagerly found. We sell various post-apocalypt decorations and complete mesh avatars. This is a growing collection if items I hope to continue to offer to residents, rich and poor. Our vacancy is open to a store manager. You are a talented marketeer with a sharp eye for business and innovation. You know your ways around SL and the opportunities it carries for advertisement and conversion. You strive to use modern marketing techniques such as conversion-attribution and sale strategy. Our team has recently employed an experienced e-mail marketeer and we hope to implement this with customers purchasing our products. Plenty to do in the near future. Primarily we need standard customer binding done such as via SL groups and so forth. We don't have an endless application you need to fill in to apply with us, however we expect you to master the English language at such degree our customers need not worry about communications. Your tasks include: Sales promotions (find ways to increase product sale)Product management (assess complaints and such to improve our products)Distribution management (find new places to introduce our product, stores and vendor networks) We hope you'll have a lot of fun working amongst us. We exists from a team of young individualists whom all have the same goals: create and live SL. E-mail: woogles.creator@gmail.com

That is a little more than an assumption. Hey. Just wondering. The girl in your profile picks. Did you ask permission to photograph her? Also; stop being a non-subjective pile of rude to everyone. And no, it's not creepy to take pictures at an event, advertised as an event. Yes i did. I ask before every picture i take. It's called manners. Wandering an event, taking pictures without telling anyone you are doing so is creepy. It's creepier when no one knows you are doing it. Apparently people have an issue with your doing so. Perhaps they think it's creepy as well. Would it be so hard to ask permission? ETA.. since you want to move this out of the forums.. nice store full of copyright protected material. 8. I have no history nor relationship to child perversion. This was an upmost cheapshot comparison that is wrong from the core: photographing subjects whom voluntarily visit adult events that allow photography (whom are age verified by the way), is worlds apart from sneaking pictures of children whom are unaware of it and underage. What the F is wrong with you?

The threats include destroying my business, IRL lawsuits and what not. For the benefit of those drama queens we need a new feature in SL. Naturally the permission to de-render the box would cost - let's say 500 L$. :smileyvery-happy: LOL! Very tempted to send them this box as a gift using Marketplace. That was a very much needed giggle.

It's a form of art. I could've posted them naked as well, but I kept it decently..
  11. Madelaine McMasters wrote: (b) Avatar Consent for Machinima For machinima, you must have the consent of all Residents whose avatars or Second Life names are featured or recognizable in the machinima. This includes avatars who are featured in a shot, avatars whose names are legible, and avatars whose appearance is sufficiently distinctive that they are recognizable by members of the Second Life community. Consent is not required if an avatar is not recognizable and is merely part of a crowd scene or shown in a fleeting background. Consent is not required for any snapshots. That sorta says "it is ok to take pictures of people", doesn't it? It does. No where in the Snapshot and Machinima policy does it say it is ok to take pictures of people. It specifially states 3D content which is defined as “3D content means any objects, primitives, or other creative works or works of authorship that are three dimensional." - An avatar is a 3D object, and thus classed 3D content. Meaning Drake's arguments are only proofing my point.

For maximum effect, Stefanosje could tell them he's going to photograph them talking out of their arse. That'll show 'em! ON POINT! Hahahahaha. Chuckled. On a serious note though. I do respect their point of view, just their approach is wrong and if they are so paranoïd about appearing in pictures, they need to consider finding a more secluded/private club. It's like taking a **bleep** in the park and complaining that people are looking at your naked butthole. Ah so it's the fault of the scanitliy clad women you are perving and taking pictures of. Got it. You strike me as that creepy guy at the playground with no kids but a zoom lens camera. So now exploring the grid and taking pictures of avatars on the fly is categorized as "perving"? I'm not sure how you're comparing a playground with no kids to a moderate content club. I find your reply very shallow and odd.

But we know you don't want the idiocy to escalate. Some people take privacy to insane limits. The minute any one steps into the line of sight of another person they have surrendered their privacy. You've done nothing wrong here. If someone doesn't like that LL has given us the ability to take snap shots which also includes the (gasp) danger of having our picture taken what they should do is Log Out and go hide in a closet. Lmao!

Such as stalkers, loverboys and even rapist they met via SL. She needs to grow the hell up, I included if she doesn't wish to be photographed in a public scene: she should either wear a burqa and following the Islamic heritage of leaving a woman's appearance to the husband and Allah. Or stop visiting moderate clubs instead. This person is crazy and I am at snapping point. Good time for me to leave office and blow off steam on the trainride home. And the thing I would like in real life, that I would definitely use on this one in Second Life, is the mute/block feature. Second Life - like Topic - a (hazel) nut in every byte. Heya Mari. I agree on parts of grief. However, if this person is furtherly trying to harm my reputation by contacting business partners or other parties that are connected to me, I need to know. Thus why I was doubting whether not to block her. At least now, I have been able to find out what she has been doing, and screenshotted all her slander and "defaming" as LL terms it. Which served me greatly in the report I have just filed against her.

Do you expect to get a job in real life by saying "Hey I want any job!"? You haven't even told us what you are skilled at. Just being in-game a lot is not a skill. It might earn you 10 linden an hour. 3mnt translate .sorry ,just give me a job , im noob here Let me explain something: business in SL is similar to real life. It doesn't work like IMVU. Here you have to have a resumee or portfolio and know English well to get a job.

  21. Heya Kuky, I think your best chances would be to contact designers, instead of the other way around. There is plenty of bloggers to go around, and I can imagine they are being spoiled and washed down with blogger applications. Chances are this'll go unnoticed. You might want to look at photo editing some more. I like your pictures, but your competing bloggers use higher resolutions and have editted the pictures to look better. Good luck though! Stef

It's like taking a **bleep** in the park and complaining that people are looking at your naked butthole. I agree. You could inform the club owner of the relevant clauses in the TOS. They might respond by altering the land covenant to forbid photography, but that would be a self harming act. Who wants to go to a place where one couldn't take a snapshot if something memorable happened? As for individual avatars getting their undies in a bundle over being photographed, show them the TOS as well. Then recommend that, if they truly don't want to be photographed, the only effective recourse they have is to wear a full body alpha. You can't photograph what the camera can't see. You might also ask them if they've ever taken a photograph of another avatar in SL without asking permission. If so, why all the hypocrisy? This may not help the situation, but the feeling of moral superiority it produces is pleasant. ;-). After the first reply or so from Sassy, I have informed the plaintives with the ToS. I haven't received any reply since. Just now I found out, the one from the e-mail I posted, is actually one of the 8+ "managers". One of the lower ranked officers (they are headed by officers, GM, owners). I think this club in particular has a loose end on behalf of management and have ran out of hand over time. Which now creates chaos as soon as decisions need to be made and/or something that doesn't have a written 1-2-3-step procedure ready. May have been a bit of bad luck on my side. Any other club would have handled this adjacently instead of starting a massive boycot against the photographer. Edit: The big irony of this story, boycot, aggry and harassment towards my door: follower count = 2.
