  1. Where lounge lizards and kitty cats come for a laugh and stay for the free... err, drinks... Lizard Lounge is an adult lounge for the open-minded and free-spirited.

We're now looking for fun personalities to grace the stage every now and then. The stage has dance poles etc. gadgets so it's ideal for exotic dancing but if you just want to dance and have fun with cool people and keep your clothes on, that's fine too. Lizard Lounge is cool like that; we know that Second Life is supposed to be fun, and not a virtual bootcamp with 500 rules and a boss with a stick up their... you know what... And that's why we won't require you to voice / scent / brain verify, nor to do a minimum weekly hours. We don't care who you are in real life. This is called Second Life for a reason... All we really want is that you're an adult (it's an adult sim, so by entering you're verifying that you are of legal age in RL), and a fun person. An attractive avi is a plus but we understand that not everyone has 10k to put into their appearance. The sole purpose of getting dancers is to have fun, entertain our visitors, and make the place that much more alive.

Oh and yes, you get to keep 80% of whatever tips you make. The remaining 20% goes into polishing the poles and scrubbing the stage.

Interested? Send me (Nancy Toocool) an IM in world and come check the place out: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/TSUNAMI%20BEACH%201/213/66/3003

  2. MJ's Burlesque Review is looking for new dancers!
    ------------------------------------
Founded in early 2012, MJ's Burlesque Review is known for its refined, hand-crafted dance shows and a style unique to the adult show world of Second Life. We do classic and modern burlesque shows in a 1920s setting on an adult sim. We value team work, creativity and an eye for detail.

To expand our club, we are now looking for new dancers. You can be an experienced show dancer or new to the field. Either way, we will help you get started and provide you with our support. We are a team of professionals and we are known of having high standards, but as long as you possess the right kind of mindset and you are creative and willing to learn, you are what we are looking for.

We require that you know at least the basics of SL building and can emote in English. If you are very new to SL show dancing, you will also need to be able to invest in a few dance animations, a HUD and whatever props and outfits you might need to get started. If needed, we are more than willing to guide you on how to create a full show number, but we will not do the whole shebang for you.

If this caught your fancy, please contact Nancy Toocool in-world for any inquiries and application forms.

  3. Urgent! I'm looking for a DJ to play a two hour set in an adult themed (nudity most likely included) party TOMORROW FRIDAY AT 4 PM SLT. The style of music can be anything as long as it's sexy and uplifting. My personal preference is something more electro/indie, but anything goes really, as long as it puts people in the mood.
Must have own stream. The ability to voice is a huge plus.
There's also a chance for a more regular DJ'ing position if you will. You'll get 100% of the tips plus a little base salary that's negotiable. IM me (Nancy Toocool) your info.
Oh and hurry! Since this is urgent, I really don't have time to wait. The first suitable candidate gets hired!

  6. I don't know that hairstyle, but since you're not getting any responses to this post, I'd contact Delirium Sol (the creator/seller of that outfit) and ask what hair is used in the vendor pic. You never know, she might reply. Some people are nice like that. Worth to try.

Sadly, most of those people are not talking in private, just alts trying to cheat the party's prize. It's very disappointed how hard nowadays is to meet nice people to talk o make just friends, seems people in SL are just looking for money or sex.

Yes, you do have a point there, but let's not give up :) I like to think there are still genuine people in SL (and not just on these forums), who truly enjoy meeting new people in-world and so on.

  10. Hi there and thanks for your suggestions!

I have tons of hobbies and jobs in SL: creating and performing in burlesque dance numbers, photography, building (to an extent), and I've been working at various clubs as a dancer and a hostess, and at stores as a sales representative and photographer, I've rp'd on a few sims as a waitress in a restaurant. The problem is, I rarely actually meet-meet anyone like that. I don't know why that is. Maybe because it is a "job" or a hobby, so there's a certain level of professionality, or client - service provider feel to it.

What I really was after in this post was a place where people go to meet others per se - where meeting others is the main function. I know several places like that exist, but they're usually either too sex-oriented or those super formal ball rooms. I don't know what I'm looking for to be honest. There used to be a lovely philosophical discussion group in SL that I enjoyed a lot, but it withered away. I've also been to a few lovely cafés where people just sit and mingle (as opposed to dance on the floor without interacting), but the problem is that most of those places are empty.

You do have a point though: Many of the most interesting people I know now, I have found "by accident", via a hobby or when I've been doing something else than looking for new people to meet. But that's like one in a million...

  11. Thank you for your kind replies :) I had never thought of sports events (unless you count dancing as such, ehehe), I'll have to check it out. It's wonderful to see that SL still has lots of surprises for me. I didn't even know there's wrestling events in SL!

Falejvi, is the city you mentioned called Dead End? That's a pretty popular urban rp (I'm a member there already).

Celestiall, I sent you an IM, talk to you later :) And yes I remember seeing you in our shows.

  12. This is probably a question that has been asked on this forum before, but I spent an hour exploring the past threads and could not find anything. Aalso, since things can disappear in SL only in a matter of hours, a response posted 6 months ago might be obsolete by now.

Anyway, to my question... Where to meet people in-world? Any suggestions? Do you know any nice places to meet people between their, say 20s and 40s? It can be on the more romantic side, or just friendly chat with potential new pals.

I have been in SL for over 4 years and this still puzzles me. I have dusted off my best gowns and spent hours and hours in the major ballrooms (or jazz clubs as they refer to themselves), but can mostly meet... Well, just the certain type of people there (I don't want to come off as rude, and yes, out of the thousands I have met at those clubs, I have made a few good friends over the years). I've also hung around at the "societies" and "lounges" but it all seems to boil down to having sex (and just that) in one form or another in those places. I've gone clubbing, you know, dancing at those trendy clubs with al my bling and nothing else on, but it's so hard to meet anyone in those places, when the majority of people won't participate in local chat conversations, and the ones that do keep spamming the same 20 lines long "WOOHOO! TUNE!" gestures, which swallow any sign of intelligent life that may have been uttered between them.

So, all and any suggestions are welcome. Or am I just too picky? I hope not. I'm really a nice person and not the whiny or overly needy type and it shouldn't be this hard for me to meet new people, I mean, seriously, I once met a dude while shopping wigs, and I just want to be loved and.... 17. I organize events for an adult club in SL, and am looking for performers to either perform on a regular basis (like once a week or twice a month or whatever suits you), or just as a one-time thing.

At the moment, I am looking for entertainers beyond DJs (though we are looking for DJs too). So if you are for example a stand up comedian, singer, magician, or even an acrobat or fire-breathing humanoid (as long as you're good and can adjust your act to be a little naughty), contact me via notecard and we can schedule an audition.
