  1. In addition to the above answer, you also get this message if you're using any kind of proxy IP mask or VPN like Hotspot Shield. If you have a program that shields your IP, turn that off and then try to log in.

    adult research

You have to enable the Adult search option in your viewer under Preferences. Usually "Avatar" or "File" or "Me" and then "Preferences". Ensure all the items there are selected under "content" "G, M, A" or "G, PG, A" Good luck
  3. If there is something in your build that was not made by you, and is no transfer, then it would not upload to the marketplace. Check the permissions on the build.
  4. Any land you "buy" in SL, you simply pay for the rights to use it - but you must still pay Linden Labs the "Tier" fee which is the fee they charge to run the server that keeps your land connected to the Second Life universe.
  5. Hello, I am also Canadian - feel free to contact me via notecard in world - or if email is easier audra.siemens@gmail.com
  6. Do your shoes have lights? That's happened to me before... ask someone near you if they can see light coming from your shoes.
  7. I've never heard of a coupon code for Second Life... There really is no place to enter something like that. You might want to post an example of somewhere that is actually offering the coupon code so we can better judge if it is legitimate - although so far, it looks sketchy.
  8. Ah, I see that is listed as a JIRA... https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-4600? Your best bet at this point is to contact support directly and have them manually fix the missing link between your existing store and the new merchant outbox. Most of them transistioned correctly (I know I didn't have very much trouble with mine) but there are always some lemons in a crate as big as this.
  9. Your merchant outbox does not open at all, or does it give you an error message?
  10. Two links you probably want to have a look at: 1 - http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Movie_Recording 2 - http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Machinima Good luck

    Men Skins

You could try Mother Goose or [buried] skins. "Teen" skins also tend to look like "elf" skins so you might want to try ones like that. Babyfaced fells and all that... Also, if you're looking for teen skins with facial hair, try added facial hair tattoo layers instead of a looking for a skin with it already on.
  12. How do you not have the option to copy your items from your magicbox? You simply open your in-world magicbox and drag the items to your in-world inventory. The only way that would not be possible would be if your in-world magicbox is empty.... and if that's the case... well.. you wouldn't have much of a marketplace store
  13. Have you tried looking for Tim Hortons? Not to throw any sterotypes out there, but when the sims go up and down, you usually can still find a Tim Hortons - even in Second Life
  14. Filled out your survey. Good luck in school
  15. Items in your Second Life inventory aren't able to be sent to a cloud system as with kitely - it would be unlikely that you'd be able to see them in your kitely cloud without being inside Second Life itself.
  16. After a little bit of googling and flickr finding - you can find information on RURU@Tear and Ruru@Pino (both by the same creator I believe) at the following: http://rurupino.blogspot.ca/ - you'll need to translate the website though because I'm pretty sure it is in japanese. The important part though, is that their in-world store is located here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/PERIOD/55/75/101 and their in-world name is rikoyan Destiny - if you go to their in-world store location and nothing is there, check their in-world profile to see if they have information on a move or current store location. Hope that helps and good luck
  17. So, you're on your phone using an SL viewer while your fiance uses the one on the computer? Can you confirm that the force-sits work while *not* using the phone? Try to load two SL viewers at the same time on the one computer. If you can, then try the force sit. My boyfriend and I had trouble using the force-sits until we switched collars. You may want to start there first. Its unlikely that your mobile viewer is the cause of your force-sit issues. I asked my bf and he said the following collar seemed to work best for force-sit https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/One-Leather-Collar-Owners-choice-Copy-Trans/2902370 Good luck!
  18. Hi Charlotte, If you're looking for a job in Modelling - you probably want to post a headshot of yourself. It would be good experience for you to take your own and get familiar with photography! Most people in SL are "looking for a well paid job" - but generally you get out of a job what you put into it. Your best bet is to go to locations in-world that are looking for people to help them out. Teaching: What do you teach? Photography: People aren't going to offer you a photography job without samples of your previous work - snap shots and build a portfolio! Modelling: There are many places in SL that serve as "modelling agencies"and lots of stores looking for customer service/product models - what's your favorite designer? Do they have in-store models? Again, the first thing they'll probably ask you for is a heashot. Salesman: Places like movie stores, interactive products and game locations generally have salespeople and may be looking to hire others. Apply, Apply, Apply! Good luck!
  19. This happened to me too when I first got my Tangos - the only way I fixed it was getting a skin that had tango appliers specifically with it and then it went away. Its probably not the answer you're looking for though so you may want to try to ask in some of the Tango groups in-world that help with setting up your Tangos. I'd try The Tango Clothing group.
  20. Anyone with the right tools (or the wrong tools as the case may be) can copy anything in SL - HOWEVER they are committing a crime when they do so. To combat this, if you ever become aware of someone who has done this to one of your creations, you can file a DCMA and have them prosecuted. You can find more information here: http://secondlife.com/corporate/dmca.php Generally Linden Labs is unable to act without DCMA proceedings having commenced on a particular topic.
  21. Nope, you are not spreading a rumour - its all here
  22. They probably won't do that - in fact, they're getting ready to allow regular SL vendors to purchase ads for their SL stores. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Featured-News/Advertising-on-Second-Life-Web-Properties/ba-p/1927315 The placement of these ads is designed to be unobtrusive, as we don’t want them to interfere with your Second Life experience on the web, and we’re taking care to keep the content appropriate. These ads are a great opportunity for advertisers to reach the large, global audience that visits the Second Life web properties every day, and we want to extend that opportunity to Second Life merchants as soon as we can You might want to invest in an ad-blocker for your browser instead.
  23. Other than making it "phantom" I have no idea. Phantom probably wouldn't help your situation though. However you should probably consider uploading it to the Beta grid so it won't use all your in-world lindens to test it out. You can find some more information on accessing the Beta/Preview grid here >> click me, I'm helpful! <<
  24. When you upload with firestorm, there is the added step of asking if you'd like to make it a temporary asset. You must accept this window before your upload will show. If you *do* choose this option and select to upload as a temporary asset, the upload takes about twice as long (or more) to upload and then will include [temp] in the name of the image.
  25. When I purchase Lindens or pay my premium account with my bank account, it shows as a payment to SECOND LIFE.COM.
