That's So Gay TV - New inworld TV Network
LuciaRiley replied to Vincent Brewster's topic in Machinima Forum
Griffin Ceawlin wrote: This may be off-topic, but... I think you should re-think the name of your network. Yeah, I get that it's camp, and that you're co-opting the phrase to mean something other than "That's stupid," "lame," etc. You know... the way it's used by the average teenager. Still... At the same time that we're trying to teach young people to not use it in that way, do you really think it's a good idea to launch a television network that goes by that name? Just my two L$s. I agree. I don't like the word being used like that at all by anyone of any age. Anyway, good luck with this show and hope you come to a conclusion on a name change. -
What are some things that bug you while you're on SL?

Don't forget the notecard and notice spam groups. :< -
Just wondering, and am curious. Some of MY things are gesture spam, local chat spam.. and all that stuff. I really dislike gesture spam in clubs by the hosts, because they are annoying to me. I know it's their job to do it sometimes, but it gets annoying seeing them spam it every 5 minutes. -__- I don't wanna have to close local chat just because of a staff member of a club, and I have friends at some who go who use local chat because we like talking to EVERYONE in it. Anyway, what are some of your own pet peeves while using SL? (Trolling, harassing, and otherwise flaming will result in your post being reported)

Try reporting it or doing this http://secondlife.com/corporate/dmca.php

Hm.. my SL is just chilling about, and I do also run a rental business and am now in the works of getting a proper builder to build me a movie theatre with seats, and a working TV with it. I do work at one club, but they rarely need me often if at all.

I've read up on everything there is to know about LL and SL from talking with people who don't even use it anymore. I am new, but some people accuse me of not being new. I actually like reading and being informed of things.

JeanneAnne wrote: I've long argued that SL needs to be wrested by those who love it from the greedy clutches of LL, & run as a non-profit members-owned consortium. I've advocated a tier strike in order to force this badly needed change. Baring this, I'd love to see some viable competition to SL. The ToS ~obviously~ apply to everyone but LL. LL can change the ToS arbitrarily, enforce them selectively, & disregard them themselves w/ absolute impunity. The resident has no recourse. Hence, I say, simply enjoy SL for what it is & when what it is becomes intolerable .. go do something else. Attempting to 'do business' in an authoritarian, autocratic world ~virtual or otherwise~ is fraught with risks .. as you've discovered to your disadvantage. But you can still have fun in SL. You can become a nomadic hippie gypsy who plays for free. That way, you have only fun & no heartburn. Best wishes to you TP. Jeanne Sorry to hear about your loss of land, and the abuse of it. I honestly think LL doesn't give any damns about SL at all, and it is why someone else needs to buy SL away from them. I know there's plenty of companies who'd buy SL from LL and actually take care of, and follow and enforce their TOS. I wish that LL would show they care about SL by doing something.

Hello, I am willing to let someone build an ACTUAL cinema that isn't in a box like the one I found is. If you can build me a cinema like at the movies I'll love you forever. IM me in world your payment offers and such, because I'unno how you go about doing it. (Also, don't waste your time trolling, making snide comments, or otherwise wasting your time if you aren't a serious poster)

Like rides and such. IM me in world if you have a big enough land or SIM.
-
Maybe stop being a troll next time.

Welcome to [removed SIM name] - your best choice for quality living in SL If you have any questions or concerns, please contact [owners names here. removed for privacy reasons] #Covenant# Stand Alone Full Region (15000 prims - 65536 sqm) Only rule is regarding rent - aside from that.....your sim, your rules That is the covenant. There was nothing against making clubs or anything like that. I had paid 650 linden, and also filed an AR already. Is there any more I can do besides just ARing this person? Thanks ETA: Did one on the person and the tier box
-
I'll need about 4096sqm, but thats pretty tight. I'd prefer one where businesses and/or clubs are welcome. It can be an estate or otherwise.
-
I see a lot of them are popular and fancy, but how do they work?

It's clear you don't feel you could trust her answers. In my experience many vamps will actually mislead you to gain personal advantage. Beyond that I have nothing. Well, I disagree Qwalyphi. There was nothing wrong with me saying to the OP "go ask that random girl your questions". It makes perfect sense to ask the one person who might actually know the answers, instead of all the people here tossing out speculations. Also, was not clear in the OP's post (original post) that the OP felt she could not trust the random girl's answers. All the OP said was regarding the random girl was, " Can you remove this if it does happen? I have no clue what this means, so.. I also think it's one of those annoying vampires." Where does she say in that original post anything about not trusting the person? We're not children here in SL. There's no reason why me telling another adult to go to the source for their information, instead of fishing around on a forum with speculators, is not good advice. It's what I'd do, and it's what I'd tell anyone to do who really wanted information. Wow, you're just a rude person in general. Get away from me and my forum threads. I've not been here for 4 years like some people have. Jesus christ, take your bitchfit elsewhere.

Yep, Willowdale is hiring for teachers. -
Rival Destiny wrote: A spampire soulmate for a trollmate IMO have to be living under a rock in rl and sl not to know what a vamp is. Just sayin. Nope, not trolling.

All I can do is block their objects and them.. they keep sending out more and more objects. One sent me flying and now I cannot stop it. I'm going to relog and avoid that sandbox. It was the eTek Sandbox. I also cannot file an AR on them, because it does nothing.

Celestiall Nightfire wrote: Why didn't you ask the, "random girl", all this stuff? She'd be the one to inquire to. You said that you are, "removing her name to follow forum rules", so you have her name. Send her an IM and ask her your questions. Don't need to be so..rude you know. Edit: I also don't trust asking these vampires anything at all. I heard the game is popular but most are annoying.
-
What the heck does this mean? o-O Some random girl asked me. Removing her name to follow forum rules. ": Would you like to join me at my side being a blood doll or a vamp? I will take good care of you :) : I will do everything I have to, to make sure you are doin great and know what to do for the game:) [So are willing to join me and become my soul" Can you remove this if it does happen? I have no clue what this means, so.. I also think it's one of those annoying vampires.

Curious, because I am wishing to start my own business sometime in the near future. Thanks

Almost everywhere in second life I'd say.

Not hacked, because they would have disconnected me for sure. I am unsure if it's me entering my password wrong, or if something went on for sure. I didn't access any phlishing websites. I made a support ticket now, though.

LuciaRiley replied to loveyousophy's topic in Second Life Server
PeterCanessa Oh wrote: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ [Posted 11:42am PDT 7 May 2012] We are currently undergoing unscheduled maintenance. This may cause some Residents to be logged out or prevent some from being able to login. Some services including the Second Life Marketplace are unavailable during this maintenance. Please keep an eye on this blog for updates. So it's official .... I'm off to Kaneva.com, which I've just started exploring. Same here.
