  1. It appears that somebody (it's not clear who actually is in charge of that server.. since the wiki says it's unsupported) fixed the problem. It appears to be working now.
  2. It seems that the world.secondlife.com site and the various APIs have stopped working. Is anyone else having this issue?
  3. I am trying to submit a destination recommendation. (at https://secondlife.com/my/forms/destinations.php). But the destination I want to recommend does not show up. I know that the destination is set up correctly, since others can see it when they go to that page with their account. But there are a number of us who do not see it (and as close as I can tell, we have the same group roles assigned). I do see a couple of the other locations where I have group membership. The show up in the GROUP-OWNED PARCELS section. Which is where it showed up when I watched my wife go through it. Does anybody have any ideas? I have clear cache(BROWSER CACHE), tried it on three different browser, on both OS/X and Windows, with the same results. This is a web interface problem, not a view problem. The form is one you get to from you Dashboard. And as far as I can tell, it isn't a setup problem, because I watched my wife go through the same form for the same group/location with her account without any problems. We both have the same roles in the group, so that shouldn't be a problem. The only difference I can see is that she has the premium account and I do not. But nowhere does it say you need to be a premium member to recommend a destination.
  4. I have used both MIXXX (works under Windows 7, Mac and Linux) and IDJC (Linux/Ubuntu based). Both are free. MIXXX is simple to set up and use and it works well. I use IDJC most of the time now. It was a fight to set up (mainly because a lot of the older posts that tell you what to do no longer apply). But once you get it set up, it is nice. AND you can even patch Skype into your stream, so you can have a "GUEST DJ". The other thing I like about IDJC is that it lets you put controls into your playlist (so you can stop and make and announcement, etc.). It does not have a music manager, so it is a little harder to 'find' music, but you can drag and drop songs from a directory.
  5. Don't know if you got this fixed yet, but the Mixxx website Mixxx Wiki has instructions for installing Lame. If you are doing this on a Windows box, there is one step in the instructions that isn't very obvious.. You need to rename libmp3lame.dll to lame_enc.dll. It's not clear, because there is already a lame_enc.dll in the download library that they point to. Once I followed the steps correctly, and then stopped and startted Mixxx if found the LAME DLL correctly.
  6. There really isn't a way to get a good idea of the layout of each of the various houses, and it would be nice to be able to visit each of the areas also.
