  1. Bumping 3 year old thread. So proud of myself. I was one of SL content creation gods, but I left SL and moved to Unity3D game development. So here's my 2 cents: C# and Increased Script Memory limit. LL had plans for it, but both projects was abandoned. So SL will always be a newbie gamedev playground from creator's perspective. These severe limitations are keeping creators away from developing big-scale projects. Linden Lab. Pretend we give a sh*t, since 2003.
  2. You can't simply ignore largest country in the world. Russia is banned from PayPal cash out. Now I feel like a black guy, so much problems just because of my nationality.
  3. In addition to what being said above, I heard that they sent official letters to everybody who did exchange L$ stating that they must delete all their money receiving thingies. (they sent this letter to my friend who was involved in those activities, so yep, they're dead)
  4. Basically, 3rd party L$ exchange is not allowed anymore. http://nwn.blogs.com/nwn/2013/05/linden-dollar-terms-of-service-change.html I say we need something else but PayPal. Russians are banned from PayPal cash out. Cheapest workaround to withdraw money from it would cost 11% with ~2 days wait time. Of course we have wire transfer, but paying 25$ for doing it, creating support ticket for each transfer and waiting 7-14 days is quite of a mess. How about WebMoney ?
  5. Everybody who was interested in such thing was looking at this forum page. http://forums-archive.secondlife.com/54/a9/44185/1.html Then find out that all resource links are down, and get very sad. When pathfinding beta was released - I ran into this problem, that you just can't use existing bvh files to animate your prims, which sucked. I was begging Lindens at user group meetings, but they are too busy and not planning to do that anytime soon. So, I got my sad "okayface" on, and started working on this tool, which took me 2 restless weeks to finish the base, and 3 painful months to finish the entire product with all the user friendly tools and crap. This is one of the biggest projects i've ever had. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/BVH-Prim-Animator-Demonstration-SciLab/3583182 - this link contains this free character on the video, and fullperm scripts in contents that animate this character. But since i'm also a human, and won't release anything else if i starve to death - I've closed modify and transfer permissions on scripts that convert BVH data for prims, and help linking attachments to bones.
  6. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/BVH-Prim-Animator-SciLab/3583042 I've created thing that gives you ability to animate prims with BVH files made for SL avatar. It requires a bit of work, but it pays off if you're being serious and professional about your business
  7. Allright, if anybody cares - I went on linden meeting, and found some answers on my questions. 3. There was no plans for non attached rigged mesh object animation (just a jira with nobody assigned on it), but they would love to add that. 2. Some lindens (i'm not saying names, being careful) suggested that already, but implementing it is very tricky. I'l try to talk at least about removing load script pin owner only caveat. 1. Its a minor thing that shouldn't be considered.
  8. Intro: I'm working on some huge Action/RPG project with elements of economy and RTS (to fit any type of personality), and was incredibly happy to see Linden Lab digging at the same side I do. Short pvp video Since then, lots of stuff has been improved and added, cause i work on it 16 hours a day, like a true Russian who has nothing else to do because he lives in the middle of frozen wastes (that's the reason of my awesome grammar). Questions: 1. Will there be a way to attach temporary attachment without rezzing it ? - Some land doesn't have rez permissions or capped land capacity, so system functionality in these parcels could be affected. 2. Would automatic update of an object be possible without any user input ? - Its a real pain in a project like that to update and replace stuff. I was suggesting ability to give out instances of scripts and objects instead of copies on jira, but nothing happened. Since Linden Lab is working on advanced permissions system - maybe something to allow that will be added? 3. Any plans on non attached rigged mesh object animation ? - Path finding and Linden Realms are just begging for this. Of course i could make a workaround BVH parser with local rot to global pos and rot converter, and then just bomb the link set with llSetLPPFast... but please god no.
