its important for me to be able to know if and when my friends are online so I know when best to meet then and to know quickly that they have come online so I do not miss them. I can not easilly sit online waiting for my friends to show up so knowing when they do prevents me missing them , since they do not stay online for hours waiting either. This change in policy seems like it would prevent this ability ...
