  1. Thank you to those who have applied. I have contacted those who I was able to via IM. If you didn't receive an IM, please make sure your username information was correct on your submission (you can view your submission at the link to the form). Also, while hosts are still welcome to apply, we especially encourage performers to send their info. We welcome all experience levels - whether you're just breaking into SL or are accomplished and looking for a change of venue/additional work. We're more concerned about your talent than your SL rez date. Thanks! Kyle
  2. Hello! Yeah, like SL needs another club, right? Well, the Maki Kato Store in Second Life is looking for uncommon performers and badass DJs to bring something special to its in-world properties in the sims of Bay City and New York City. Our goal is to promote our presence with occasional events. We're aiming for quality over quantity. We're open to all styles as we strive to involve an eclectic collection of performers. We're also looking for event hosts/guest liaisons to keep things rolling during events. Both hosts and performers may apply at: http://makika.to/council/slstoreapp Talent will receive a flat rate payment per event from the venue since we cannot guarantee tip amounts at this time. Thank you for your interest! Kyle PS: Maki Kato is a real world house of graphic design; we bring both real world and virtual world experience to Second Life. For more details, check out http://makika.to/second-life.html
  3. Thanks Qie. I did go ahead and try building on a space in NA. Glad I tried it, to realize the warm, inviting feel I get from Bay City that I immediately started to miss. Not to mention what seemed to be poorer server performance in the NA region, and the ridiculous asking price to purchase the land. Guess I'm staying in BC for now. Kyle
  4. Hi there folks, I have a question regarding Bay City. I recently moved my store from another mainland sim to Bay City. I did so before reading up on Bay City and finding out it is themed for the 1950s. My store is modern - like it was built in 2012, not the 1950s. It is located in Bay City Maddequet and is a promotional piece for brand identity design service (logos). I chose Bay City because it is beautiful and seems to be of higher quality than some other areas. But, if my modern building is not welcome there I would like to know before I commit to purchase the land (I'm currently renting). If you know of a region similar to Bay City in terms of quality, land value, etc. with a more modern/industrial theme, please do share. Just a noob here trying to make sure I am fitting into the right area. Thanks! Kyle
  5. Looking for someone to greet and make light conversation with guests at a launch event. Scheduled for an hour in March. IM or PM me for details and a link to an application. Thanks!
