Can someone please help me by explaining the differences and avantages or disadvantages of both land types.

Hello: I have a Free Linden Home, but It is way to limiting for my beginner plans in what I would like for a home. So I have purchased, or am bidding on some land of my own. So my questions are: 1) what is the tiers listed prices or cost? 2) Do I get 512 for free, so if I give up the free land will one property be free? 3) where is all need information I should be reading?
