second life loggin issues i am new to second life and am an ou student i want to use second life to enhance presence and socialise with other ou students (and other sl members) in real time i am having trouble logging in to second life i created an account and downloaded the software but i keep getting this message: were having trouble connecting there may be a problem with your internet connection or the second life grid. you can either check your internet connection and try again in a few minutes or select help to second life support portal or click teleport to try teleport home. i am on win 7 x64 firefox browser when i press the teleport home button it doesent work there is nothing wrong with my internet connection and nothing wrong with the second life grid. the help button tkes me to this site: https://support.secondlife.com this tells me to configure my firewall but i dont have macafee, norton or zone alarm i have avg 2012 which has its own firewall and win 7 firewall when i turn both these of it has no effect. then the help section starts talking about proxys: community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Using-Second-Life-with-a-firewall/ta-p/1304539 i dont know if im using a proxy and if i am i dont know what type the help talks about http, socks 5, other http traffic and caveats.and even if i knew this which i dont i dont know how to configure my proxy. any help would be welcomed also i am quite computer saavy and have not had issues like this before with any kind of software. this is the status website of the second life grid: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/
