  2. Charolotte wrote: Like this, no Resident, just Charolotte. Oooh did you register on the forum again? When I registered on the forum I had no choice but to appear as SeekWisdon Resident. I really wish Linden would not use volatile strings as primary keys.
  3. I should probably open a new thread on this, but WHY did my account get renamed twice without my permission?
  4. I logged on from a computer that has never seen secondlife.com and the same happened. Interestingly after I opened a support ticket, all my data is back and my name appears as SeekWisdon instead of SeekWisdon Resident.
  5. Since registering for the forum, Resident has always been part of my name, but it appears Linden is very confused about whether or not to show it. Stupidly, based on other users' posts, it seems rather than a number as an ID, the programmers actually use "SeekWisdon" or "SeekWisdon Resident" as the key to find my data. Now they don't know who I am, and I did nothing to cause it. I learned how to program when I was 10 and never used data that could change as a primary key. Sad. That doesn't inspire confidence.

Funny thing is that my orders from way back in 2010 apparantly went to the "received items" folder *faceplams*. Yes, my two orders NOW say where they were delivered as if I could care any less. Where are the rest of my hundreds of orders?
  7. Interestingly, when I look in my account's transaction history, I can see the transactions I had with Commerce Lidnen and the order number but (as expected) none of the order details. The transactions are still there in some form, but the marketplace just isn't listing them, in a bizarre behavior bzzzzzzzzz (the sound of the bug).

As it cannot be deleted, it certainly did not vanish. I am using Chrome and Firefox and both show only my last two transactions. I've viewed source (inspected element, etc.) on the page in Chrome, Firefox and IE and the data is not there at all. Good idea on the hidden div or something, but it's not the case.

Charolotte Caxton wrote: The reason I said so, is cause this person had a temporary last name of Resident also, but when it went away so did her problem http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Account/I-ve-lost-an-access-to-my-store-because-my-login-changed-into/qaq-p/1470167 My name hasn't changed since my rezzday. The only change is that my order history is gone.
  10. Since the start of the year, I've been buying stuff on the marketplace with hundreds of transactions, and yet today when I look at my order history I see only the last two purchases. That's so uncool. If a first life marketplace with whom I transacted so frequently were to suddenly stop providing me correct information about my transaction history with them, I would cease immediately to further transact with them. Is this a joke or is the marketplace now really eating my order history or do I need to get a support ticket created or something else?

  12. I don't know if you already know this but here it goes anyway. Also you should make sure the bag itself is on a transparent background or else the front face with the image will have a solid color for the shape of the prim.

If you are trying to create an ocean effect, than you may also want to have waves, and splashes. Waves now days are made from sculpted prims.. There are kits you can get that help you create your own waves. However, you can also just buy waves and put them on top of your animated water prim. What is better for you will depend.. If you plan on making skyboxes to sell, then you'll want the kits. If however this is for just personal use you may find buying waves is a more economical alternative. Splash effects are achieved by using a particle script and a special texture. You can also buy splashes where you buy waves. Particle scripts are free, there is one in your library. However, it will take some learning on your part to know how to use the script to achieve the look of a splash. Particle scripts are generic and the scripting variables are what achieves the look of a splash, vs... smoke, vs... flames or even butterflies fluttering around. You would also need to find a suitable texture. I haven't seen kits for making your own splashes, only completed products (a script properly coded with the texture and effect variables, inside a prim) . However someone else may know if there are some around. Again what is best for you will depend on you goal is commercial or personal. Not as concerned about big waves as I am about being able to figure out what prim to put my water texture and animation script on. This is not for sale, just for my personal use. What do I put te waves on? I think I need a prim for that. I will tackle particle scripts if I need splash effects but don't need them yet, I don't think. Thanks for the info!
  14. Bree Giffen wrote: That's pretty much correct. To put an animated water texture into the prim you will need a texture and a texture animation script. Both go into the contents of the prim. Like this one I guess: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/FLORA-Full-Permission-Animated-Water-42-by-Dingdong-Davi/1077891 If you want to swim in it you could get a swimmer hud which comes with a script (you put into your water) that allows you to swim in your prim water. The swimmer hud also lets you swim in linden water. Kind of useful. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/The-Swimmer-206-from-Waterworks-Swim-in-prim-OR-sim-water/908729 THanks for the info. This is for my own skybox. I have the water texture and an animation script I bought from the marketplace. What prim do I put these on?I also have a swimmer hUD for just this purpose.
