  1. Thailand here, I have a lot of friends form Asia in general and SE Asia (mostly Thailand and Malaysia) , there are Thai groups but not really any sims per se. Feel free to message me if you like.
  2. Hi there, welcome back! I generally just hangout and chat with people, text not voice. I'm not a fan of laggy or crowded places. Shoot me an IM if you would like to chat. 🙂
  3. I'm the exact opposite of your time zone. My AM is your PM but I'm mostly on in the AM my time which is usually about 5 PM your local time. Shoot me an IM if you would like to chat. 🙂
  4. I'm 53 (1967) most of the 50's groups open the chat and say "hi"... chat finished. Most of the people I meet are between 20 and 45.
  5. 67 here, I'll give it a go. I have been in the 30's then had to switch to the 40's then had to switch to 50's groups, we even age in SL haha
  6. From Latin --- Bellis - Daisy Seria - earthenware jar So we live in a clay pot filled with daisies, I can live with that 😊
  7. My wife and I live in Thailand, that puts us ahead of Linden Labs (PDT) by 14 hours (ITC) whereas you are only 1 to 4 hours ahead of Linden Labs depending on where you are in Brazil. Understanding that while we are usually sleeping is when the good people of Linden Labs are coming to work we made a day out of the launch waiting for the new houseboats that we knew were coming because it was posted everywhere and Patch Linden was keeping everyone up to date on the status. We got up at 05:00 had a coffee and went to watch with the masses on the border where the moles were working on the houseboats. At about 07:00 we switched over to mobile and went to breakfast, which turned into lunch and then into dinner, we finally got home around 21:00 and still no release. We waited until after midnight and finally the houseboats were launched! I understand the houseboats sold out in less than 30 minutes. There has been no guarantee that anyone would get a new home straight away and a good deal of people wanting a new home have been trying for hours, days and months, I and many others feel that's part of the excitement of it all. If you want something bad enough you have to be persistent or someone who does want it bad enough will get it. Smile, join the citizens group and join in the fun of the mad dash. Bellisseria has a lot more to offer than just a house and the community is opened to everyone.
  8. Looking to buy 16,384 sqm 1/4 region on SL protected highway. IM in-world if you have something reasonably priced. Max (wushin resident)
  9. I went to have a look but got a blocked content from insecure page message
  10. I was asked a question, my answer was rejected without evidence so I did some research and elaborated on the answer which was rejected and I defined it more clearly. I'm not the villain here. I'm done this is getting old and way off track and is wasting a lot of keystrokes on the wrong folks.
  11. I think you misunderstand my meaning which is rather than telling people who are powerless to help -- DO tell people who have the power and ability to make a difference. I absolutely did not mean it in a negative way whatsoever rather as a motivator , it was a suggestion and all I did was answer questions asked. As far as the pop-up goes which was the main complaint, as one user pointed out it's a matter of clicking the "x" and closing the box. Here is who you should be contacting and fighting: https://www.battleforthenet.com Not me or the other 65.5% of the users
  12. I'm not sure what sources you are looking at but the ones I used were between 2015 and 2017 but in any event we digress the point that was made is the majority of us have no control nor can we sign the petition pop-up posted by LL I'm not sure why this is an issue with you. But I would suggest if you put as much energy in to your protests and fought as hard as you do in forums with your government, you may not be in the situation you are currently in.
  13. I just did and did the maths for you as well. And you say I "keep telling people to look things up" I said if you have doubt please do look it up. Or I would suggest if you are trying to prove me wrong you do some research because at this point it seems like you are trying to prove me wrong without bringing anything to the table except an "I want you to be wrong" attitude.
  14. I was assuming you would want to look it up for yourself, I personally never believe anyone and look it up myself.
  15. Obviously you do not understand the term European. In this instance we are using the term as follows. European [yoo r-uh-pee-uh n, yur-] As an adjective 1. of or relating to Europe or its inhabitants. 2. native to or derived from Europe: traditional European customs; European languages. As a noun 3.a native or inhabitant of Europe. Definition of European Union (EU) The European Union is a political and economic union of 28 member states that are located primarily in Europe. It has an area of 4,475,757 km², and an estimated population of over 510 million. There are about 50 countries in Europe just FYI. Furthermore we are using this data as Linden Labs collected it which was by broken down to percentages of EU member states. I'm sure if one wanted the data by US State or Canadian Province Linden Labs very well may have that information, in fact I'm sure they do as they collect payment data and and know your IP address. Also the number quoted was for North America not the United States meaning Canada, The United States and Mexico. So the data I provided you was 54 percent of active users are from Europe and 34.5 percent are from North America. Now before you get in to the mathematics of it all yes that leaves 11.5 percent and those 11.5 percent are from all other countries. Why so low? One reason is cost, another is there are other services like Second Life (more than 20) that are more appealing to people in Asia particularity, in fact most people in China use HiPiHi (which means the world exists because of you in Chinese) it is pretty much a clone of Second Life. So in conclusion and to what my point was in the first place North America and Again North America is Canada, The United States and Mexico (not just the United States) makes up 34.5% of Second Life users and the rest of us are the other 65.5% so you can see why so many people really do not care about your government or politics, it's not personal we just have no control over it.
  16. I said Europe, did you not understand that? Obviously the countries in Europe are much smaller than the US thus the EU the same can be said for South East Asia thus ASEAN. If you are in disbelief about something look it up you obviously have internet access and can look it up.
  17. All it takes is a Google search which I do before I post anything anywhere. But that said I quoted you figures from 2014 the data now is -- Europeans make up the largest block of Second Life residents with more than 54 percent of active users ahead of North America 34.5 percent, according to new Linden Lab data. Western numbers: United States 31.19% France 12.73% Germany 10.46% United Kingdom 8.09% Netherlands 6.55% Spain 3.83% Brazil 3.77% Canada 3.30% Belgium 2.63% Italy 1.93% In another article I read it would suggest Germany spends the most amount of money on Second Life
  18. Never saw that scam and I even stay away from the "real" charities on Second Life.
  19. I got it too.... waves from Thailand Did you know Europeans outnumber Americans on Second Life 3 to 1!?
  20. I think that is a narrow view of it and it certainty is not viewed as a negative thing in Asia.
  21. I paid off my house in Bitcoin. I live in a country where I can buy Bitcoin from my bank account, take it our at an ATM, pay all my bills and credit cards with it and I have 3 Visa Debit cards I can load with it in US dollars, Euros or British Pounds Sterling, reason for three currencies is so I don't get ripped off on my local currency when I buy from another country. Bitcoin is not a shady thing, I have my passport, ID and bank account registered. If you keep cards loaded you never need to move it to a bank you just keep it in your bitcoin wallet.
  22. If you're looking for friendly people in general to explore with or socialise with you're welcome to IM me. most of my friends and I are from Thailand we don't really have an opinion about your gender and are accepting of all people, races, genders, sexual orientation, etc in fact we don't label it, you just are who you are and no big deal.
