I can tell you that 9 out of 10 times when I login on to Marketplace I log back out after 20 minutes of not finding what I am looking for, thus 9 out of 10 times I didn't spend any money. I see outdated, high prim, over priced and generally ugly items and if I get lucky only 3 or 4 items that actually match my search. Try finding a sofa/couch/chesterfield (any other name you can think of) and you will not get the best offerings straight away if at all. I don't like to go to shops, I suppose in the same way some people prefer to order from Amazon/Lazada/Shopee, etc. I just want to find the item on Marketplace I'm looking for with a bit of ease but instead I get 10 pages of the same item in different colours, something that does not even remotely match the description of what I'm looking for. I'm at the point where I have become content with what I have and just live with it because I'm not going to waste my time searching for something that should be easy to find. I'm not afraid to spend big on SL but I find myself buying from the same 5 merchants over and over simply because they do make it easy for me. So, maybe it's not the economy but rather the lack of business experience and marketing in this case. On another note, I have a very popular brand of mesh head and the group sends like 50 notices a day and that's a good way to get your group notices shut off or muted. As far as land goes, I had a 1/4 region of lovely mainland until someone bought a 1024 next to me and dropped a skybox on the ground, I dumped the land an got 1/4 of a private region owned by one of the land barron's who went off on me when I told her that one of the neighbours there was not following the covenant (ya know 64 meter untextured prim walls) and she told me to just derender them, again I left and moved on to Bellisseria where I have been content for the past 3 years. As for the "aggressively obedient majority", they make me sick, fanboys and fangirls, drooling all over the Lindens and kissing a$$ forgetting we are all customers, paying the same amount for a premium service and deserve the same customer care. While I think a chance random encounter with a Linden or a Mole is cool, I think them getting involved in the community is a business mistake and it makes a lot of us (customers) feel alienated as in we don't matter only the people in the fan groups do.

It started out as an interesting idea but then banks, Wall Street, billionaires and regulators got involved and now it crashes when someone decides to tweet something negative about it or says we should make a law, I no longer see it as "decentralised" but I do see it as a way for the ultra rich to steal more from us legally. I'm also really nervous about the exchanges having the fiat to pay out, one of the brokers in my country just got put on notice for not having the funds to pay out, it took me 12 days to get my money from that exchange and Bitcoin dropped 12% by the time I did. Crypto is not convenient for buying goods or services and our entire economy (where I live) is already digital via direct bank accounts or multiple digital wallets that you can add money to.

Linden Homes in space! I'd like to see a sci fi theme in Bellisseria, preferably retro like shows and movies from the 60's and 70's.

I think a lot of the buckets are disappearing because of those of us who live in very different time zones. As I write this it's still yesterday in the USA Oct 31. I pulled up all my decorations and bucket not realising this but I have dropped the bucket back in place (within 5 minutes). I've been told the bucket will auto delete so I'll just leave it in place.

I think enough has been said here, do as you wish, I'm not going to get caught up in a semantics debate.

Funny thing you should ask.... I woke up to this notice from Bellisseria Citizens this morning (please note the owner and admins of Bellisseria Citizens obviously DO NOT condone this behaviour). It'll fix itself. - If you find a security system that follows covenant: move on. Please, do not post slurls in chat and complain to prevent people being harassed. Thank you." I think that pretty much supports what I said and answers your question(s). I'm not disagreeing with you in principle, people who are breaking the LL covenant should be reported, if nothing else to to keep Bellisseria from turning into mainland, however some folks have taken it upon themselves to become as you say "vigilantes" and are just looking for problems, that's the sort of thing that turns into a witch-hunt, it makes people uncomfortable when a group of people are roaming around looking to nitpick anything they don't like. As for the teleporting into peoples homes to test their security systems, over and over again, rather than happening upon them by chance is harassment in my opinion. In my experience 99% of the people in Bellisseria are following the covenant or at least trying to.

@Marianne Little It is harassment when people keep teleporting into someones home multiple times to see what sort of security system they have when they can easily see it says " LH - Security System // V2.3.2: You are in a restricted area. Please leave within XX seconds." "LH - Security System // V2.3.2: Good bye!" But to keep going back and teleporting into the persons home over and over again because one simply does not like it, is harassment in my opinion.

Yes, I know what you were talking about. I have been ejected going for candy too but no big, I move on, it could be a mistake and perhaps it would be polite to message the owner and let them know first. I'm not the police, as the notice said, do as you wish. My point was, a group of people were intentionally looking for security systems belonging to people NOT participating in the Halloween event, harassing people about security systems in general, even the LL systems and posting which home to flash mob next in group chat. Not cool, not cool at all. In the mean time, there is more chat about ARing people than the event itself.

People hunting down security systems for the sake of ARing people are starting to grief, harass and are becoming a general nuisance. Well stated in the Bellisseria Citizens group notice: "If you find a security system that follows covenant: move on. If it doesn't follow covenant, there are 3 things you can do: move on OR report it and move on (no bitching in chat necessary, there's been enough of that, thank you very much) OR send an IM to the owner and move on." Some people are on a witch-hunt (no pun intended) looking for people to report and repeatedly teleporting into peoples homes to "test" the systems which tends to get them banned, justifiably so.

I guess that leaves me out. I have lived in Asia in general since 1985, I was educated in China and Japan and I have lived in Thailand for 24 years. I am a Thai citizen, I can read write and speak Thai and Chinese fluently but I was not born here. You want people to be tolerant (accepting is a better word which we use in Thailand) of LGBTQ but you're intolerant of immigrants, expats and people who have made the choice to live in ASEAN countries. So you're saying you really don't care that they are NOT from ASEAN countries in fact, just that they are Asian and not immigrants, expats or foreigners? I'll stick with the Thai groups, they are opened to everyone even if they have never visited Thailand. mai pen rai, chok dee.
