  1. well.. as long as the linux system has OpenGL properly configured and can for instance run 3dgears , I' d say you re good to go ....
  2. I used to have SL running on an Intel GMA 945, but that was on Windows XP and about a year ago. Problem is that these chips had no hardware for T&L and would only render polygons. You could try a text-based only viewer , but I don' t know if you want that. You could try a version 1.23 viewer, but they are becoming obsolute fast and I don' t know if can be run with Linux on that specific system of yours. I did have mesh-viewers running on an Asus, but that would be the 1201 which had an integrated NVidia ION GPU.

So if you're talking about vampires other than in Second Life in theory it would be better to have this moved back to the 'General Discussion Forum.' In practice it probably doesn't matter. Hi Qwaliphi. I was seeking maximum viewer ship for a general discussion about vampires. The Roleplay forum is for roleplaying. I would think a tiny little creature such as a chipmunk would be most frightened of vampires... they get eaten first don't they? /me quickly jumps inbetween and lifts his index pointing towards Jimmy. Now watch it , buddy.. Nobody touches the chipmunk. I already shoved garlick down a vampire' s throat today in the forums so don' t pu**bleep** .. :robotmad: ETA .... push it ... damn censorship .. :robotindifferent:

My question was not roleplay, it was a general discussion about vampires. It was moved according to your liking. Thank you for moderating the forum. Hi Jimmy, The moderation team executes on behalf of the company. I have no moderation abilities here, nor have I reported your post as inappropriate. I merely made a suggestion. You elaborated why you posted it where you did. Fair enough. The decision to eventually place the thread where it is, was never mine. PS I made the suggestion, because I thought it more likely a section where you' d meet kindred. It was not meant arbitrarily.
  5. Maybe you should ask that in another room ( points to Roleplay section ). Personally I risk to soil myself when it comes to the subject of vampires, but I' m not convinced myself that' s from either fear or admiration ... :robotindifferent:

  8. Coulda been worse. Coulda said. " We're being mooned ? Let' s say "Cheese!".

  13. Tsk, Sy .. you left out they will massage Erich von Daniken with balms made out of trails of the brown dwarf. At least it' s proven then the dwarf wasn' t constipated.
  14. Lucinda Bulloch wrote: OK so for 4 billion years it has been inactive, agree? In that case the surface rocks scatted about can't be moon rocks can they, most of the rocks on its surface must be from somewhere else, as it is covered in impact sites it would seem that its has been scattered in rocks from all over, so implies how do you tell a moon rock from something that landed there, this fact is ignored so make one think that they know the so called moon samples are in fact earth samples and they don't have any sample of rock from the moon, because they cant go there and drill under the crust that is covered in rock from elsewhere they will never know. Wrong again .. a projectile with high velocity impacting on another object will always cause material from the larger object to be thrusted outward raining down on itself (impact crater). The projectile itself barely survives the high velocity impact and gets mostly dissolved into the object or simply evaporates into the atmosphere (if present at all) or space. What astronauts brought down is most certainly material that' s native to the planet(oid).
  15. ETA : .. not an insult .. just to prove there can be water on the moon indeed :robotwink:

  18. " In a democracy people get the government they deserve." - Alexis de Tocqueville : Democracy in America. Second Life™ is not a democracy. Rights obtained here are limited and mainly purchased. For instance one right every avatar has by default is the ability to attempt to rez an object, but that doesn' t mean you keep that right to rez it everywhere in SL.
  19. Lucinda Bulloch wrote: How did the moon get there? Could have come from a passing brown dwarf, or put there so to expand the earth, lol. /me points at new evidence. He dunnit !!! GET HIM !!!
  20. You' re describing the theory of accretion. Not sure about your statement of the sun' s composition ( mostly made of compressed hydrogen and helium afaik ) , but the rest is indeed the most plausible scientific theory about the formation of our own solar system so far.
  21. Lucinda Bulloch wrote: As you agree that rocks can be carbon dated, lol, i think that makes you very ignorant on the subject. You may think whatever you like .. radiometric dating ( a scientific measurement ) does indeed date moonrock as more than 4 billion years old. How' s that for ignorance ? .. besides .. drop these 'lol' s whenever you' re insecure about your own statements. Really shows your own ignorance.

  23. I think I'll call you moonstruck in Latin ... :robotindifferent: Since the Apollo 11 missions, moonrock has been tested on age and has been proven to be the same billion year old basalt rock the earth is made of.
  24. You might try clearing your cache . Try a different region on startup ( Calleta seems to work ).
