  1. Yep, I would toggle the clothing layer on and off, with the tat layer active. It would not stay on on MY end visible using the Omega applier for tattoo on top and bottom, well actually let me rephrase a lil bit, the bottom half would stay fine, it seems to be a glitch with Omega applier tats that the top halves either vanish altogether or pieces vanish. I dont know if anyone else has experienced this problem or not. I know the tat is there, people tell me it is there, but it looks silly on my end. I luckily had 1 in my inventory that had a Beleeza applier, but I hate to think that all my good ink is all wonky now. I suppose maybe I can redeliver what I can and see if maybe they have updated appliers but I doubt all of em will.

  2. I set the tats through the Omega appliers to the tattoo layer only, and yet still it is there one minute and then either the entire top portion will disappear, or a piece or 2 will vanish on me for no reason. Seems like maybe its a problem with older tats possibly, ones like 2 yrs old that worked great on the Slink body but can't quite stay on Jake. I guess I was lucky enough to find one in my inv that had actual Beleeza appliers and so far so good. But has anyone else had this issue with Jake?

  3. I have recently purchased the Beleeza Jake as an "upgrade" from the Slink Aesthetic. What I want to know is, has anyone else had issues with Omega tats being there one second, then simply vanishing, or parts of it vanishing on user end? I would hate to have all my ink go to waste. Or should I just buck down and use tats that are Jake compatible only? I toggle the top clothing layer on and off and its there one min, gone the next or parts of it vanish. This is highly annoying as I went with this body to eliminate that terrible seam when using the Vista or Slink hands on the Aesthetic body without having the shape be that of a pipecleaner.

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated

  4. I myself am looking for a dj gig. I am known throughout the grid as DJ Zodiac, I have managed, co-owned, dj'd, hosted, danced, you name it I have done it. I am versatile in musical stylings, however I will not and can not play country in any way shape or form. Same goes for endless hardcore rap. I can do a set or 2 of it but not as a stagnant genre with no flexibility. I have my own stream which I prefer to use over a house stream (I will discuss reasons why upon contact). I have a great deal of success in genres like EBM/EDM/Mashups/Metal/Industrial and more.. As of now my schedule IRL limits me to doing 8PM-10PM only. I can't change this because of the type and nature of my work. My preference would be to get in with an already established club (my own personal preference). If you would like samples of my work in advance of contacting me by all means check out my mixcloud page which I try and upload nearly every set if I feel it falls into being worthy.  I thank you for taking the time to read all this schpiel and I look forward to doing business with you.

  6. Thank you huys for your replies. I wish I had the body for the Stray Dog body appliers but sadly I am on a Slink body for now. But I have looked at Clef de Peau and their work is solid from what I have seen and they work with the Slink Body

  7. Which Is fine, I have a head and body skin that do match. Body from L'etre and head from Stray Dog. I want a change for an event that looks good and is lighter then what I currently am rocking. SO I am looking for suggestions for creators that people know of for skin makers beside L'etre. And have Catwa appliers for my head to match. I really wasn't wanting to go to L'etre again as there have been a lot of bad press on them lately and I know there has to be some better ones out there

  8. I'm currently looking for alternatives to buying anything more L'etre at the moment. I know Stray Dog makes amazing head skins for the Catwa Bento heads, but I need alternatives for my body skin that look good. Any help is appreciated

Given that so many of the creators are doing HUDs these days for color/pattern change, I don't think I'd even pay that for a fat pack unless it was some really super duper special item.

They claim it's limited edition. There's no possible way they can guarantee I wont see this somewhere else a month later unless they are going to conference me in when they press delete. Even then who's to say they don't already have it backed up elsewhere. Just one more aggravation to contend with. I refuse to pay 3k for any damn hoodie.

Oh i have a short list of great stuff I've found lol. I just havent decided which to go for! L&B? Coldash? Deadwool? Legal Insanity? ::GB::? MSN Design? Ascend? N-Uno? (See Skell was right. We have no stuff for us!)

L&B is way too script heavy same goes for Razor. I won't buy their ***** for the fact. Cold Ashe  does NOT have a ton of variety unless you are having a plaid fetish. Zed used to be relevent, but haven't been anything but overpriced for a LONG time. Deadwool takes forever to put out anything (which sucks because I love their stuff), Legal Insanity has become repetative as has Etham. Gabriel has been putting out stuff, but LOTS seem to get redelivered because of glitches. We're pretty much boned. For myself I just mix and match what I can. I saw a truly nice hoodie at one of the events but 3k?!? Nahh not gonna happen

Text-only post incoming. I posted this in the 'Just Ignore' thread, but it also kinda belongs here, since it's about creating avatar looks, so...

It's often stated that SL is a woman's world when it comes to shopping, and - as a man who loves fashion - I've always agreed with that. It's also sometimes (well, actually, often) said that most men can't be bothered to do much with their avatar once they've got a couple of decent looks together. More often than not, though, that's because it's so bloody difficult to find a wide variety of stuff that isn't just jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, sneakers, etc. Women who take the time to tour current events with a male perspective in mind may already have noticed this, but I've just been looking through the Seraphim gallery for the Black Fair, which has just started. It might open some eyes to see the stats:

    • 140 stores
    • Male-only items - 3 (one beard, one skin, one set of m/m poses)
    • Unisex tattoos that show at least one man on the ad (and are therefore compatible with male mesh bodies) - 4
    • Other unisex items - 2 (mesh ears, glasses)
    • Unisex nail appliers (eg: not Maitreya-only) - 3
    • Unisex poses (eg: one male, one female in a couples pose) - 2

That's it. The guys get precisely the following:

    • 1 skin
    • 1 beard
    • 1 set of gay poses, plus 2 m/f couple poses
    • 4 tattoos
    • 1 pair of ears
    • 1 pair of glasses (there are two other pairs, but both are very femme 'cat-eye' styles)
    • 3 sets of nail appliers (if that's their thing)

Oh, and of course, all of the home decor options. ¬¬

It's bloody hard work putting together a stylish male avatar when that's the typical offering (and it IS the typical offering) at events.

ETA: Yes, we do now have male-only events (four of them, plus one yearly event) but if you've been going to those for as many years as I have, you'll see that the items on offer tend toward an average of 75% jeans, t-shirts, hoodies, sneakers, etc, 5% home decor, 10% accessories, and 10% 'fashion' clothing. Even some of the more 'fashion' designers that frequent these events have started moving toward hoodies and sneakers lately.

Even the "mens" shopping events blow lately. I will call out one particular offender "Ethem", that consistently recycles their designs with the same effin templates all the time. I used to love their stuff but I will NOT give them my hard earned dollars virtual or real. Clothing wise I am and have been purchasing from 7 Mad Ravens, Scars, Cold Ashe (rarely), and Deadwool (slow to put out new stuff). Gabriel can be hit or miss, sometimes spot on fits sometimes even the ones made for my body break through. I feel for the fashion deprived males in SL
