  1. I was at IMVU before I came to SL. It has advantages as well as disadvantages like all sites do. I find that while its much easier to build your circle of friends on IMVU, I still find SL to be the most exhilirating. As far as SL "dying"...to me its one of those analogies that I have to see it to believe it. In addition to that, as with all virtual worlds, it does not matter where you go because the dependency is on you creating your own happiness and gaining the best out of it while it does last. :matte-motes-smitten: Tamara Artis wrote: So.. seems SL is dying and I am seeing people giving advices to move to another online world. I would be happy if some of you had any suggestions or experiences to share:) Thank you in advance!
  2. My SL av and RL is similar in a lot of ways. Her features are very similar to mine in RL. For me...I find that my av is a representation and also a reflection of who I am in RL... Down from my taste in certain things to her appearance. The only difference I would say is...I am able to explore and meet more people from diverse cultures than I do in RL which is also a Big Plus in my opinion :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  3. @ UC ~ Tyvm Sweets! :matte-motes-smitten: I am thrilled for my first time trying it out. Aww! Have you tried other colors in her color chart? The red you are looking for may be under another category... Like OrangeBrown...Kinda weird I know..but give it a try if you havent already. @ Neal ~ Tyvm! Its always good to get a male's opinion as well. :matte-motes-wink: I can relate to the skeptism, because I felt the exact same way. I still havent tried the mesh apparel...but eventually I will. @ Cato ~ Good for you! Love the freckles...hehe...Nice! @ Kelli ~ Ty for sharing! Wow! Only 100L for Copy/Mod...plus accessories! Its hard to visualize the surrounding mainland by the pic you took. Awesome! ** Lovely Pics Ladies! You make me want to join the eyewear/book club! Ill catch up on the next go round :matte-motes-smitten: *** Oops! Sorry Neal! I didnt have my glasses on (lol) ...Nice Pic! I love relaxing on a pile of pillows! ...and Yes I do the same in RL too :matte-motes-wink-tongue:
  4. @ Caitlyn ~ Love the B/W Photo! I like how the shadow overcast the both of you. Great Pic! @ Neal ~ Ok, you are taking me back to those special moments of fun with my Barbies - No boys or Monster Trucks Allowed (lol)! @ Saraya ~ Nice Eyewear! Love your new look! @ Kelli ~ That is a very interesting lighthouse. Ive seen many, but not like yours. Are you completely surrounded by water? Nice Pic Btw! *This is my very first time trying Mesh hair from Dela. Ive been reluctant in trying Mesh Hair since it first came out, but after wearing this lovely style... I decided to definately buy more. However, I do miss the way the hair flows (like blowing in the wind)...one of my fav perks. :matte-motes-nerdy:
  5. Hey There Saraya! Thank you so much...Will do. I overlooked the name of it in your previous post -Oops- but I will check it out. :matte-motes-wink: Congrats on the new change! Im glad you decided to stay. Afterall, SL is what you make of it! I really do like both shapes on the beautiful skin you chose. The first one would be a complete change for you and she screams fashionista to me. The second one has a more softer look...she is similar to your current look. :matte-motes-smile: TK~

The sound changes as I go from the ocean kissing the beach to the back where the waterfalls fall by the Hot Tub in the wrap around porch. One with Neal taking a nap upstairs to the sound of the water. Love all the beuaty of SL. Ty Neal for the reply :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2: Your home is very nicely done...It appears soooo serene. 14. Amethyst is right on target. I met quite a few people in similar situations as she stated and I have also befriended people who lead active lifestyles and use social sites for networking, finding true love, or simply entertainment. Its really based on the individual and their expectations. For example; Some may come with the intentions of keeping it strictly fantasy and end up meeting someone that can change it to reality for them. It is possible for the fantasy realm to overflow (emotions) into real life. *I find that it is important to always communciate effectively as to what your expectations are concerning fantasy vs real... especially when getting involved with a partner.
  15. Last One for now...I Promise - hehe :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2: Photo: "No other Place I'd Rather Be..."

  18. Pussycat Catnap wrote: I change my windlight evertime I take a screenshot. BUT not just for regular SL use. In fact I tend to run with default lighting going most of the time. I'm a lot less concerned about looking at myself than I am about what image I present - adjusting my own settings is meaningless for that. For image work though, I'll get in there and play with lighting until I've got the ideal composition going. Because when I take a screenshot, I'm doing so for the purpose of posting a picture that I want people to see - and that needs to evoke the desired emotion. So I will work with windlight and scene to get it all just right. Especially as I don't like doing postwork in Photoshop for my work. Not from knowledge - I use Photoshop professionally every day at work. But as an artistic choice. To me postworking an SL image would be like doing it to a photograph - has its purpose, just like Milli Vanilli had theirs... but not how I play it. So getting Windlight right is critical before taking the shot. I completely agree...and do the exact same with the windlight settings. I enjoy taking pics. I use GIMP for my editing. Ive been thinking about getting Photoshop...not sure yet though. Hehe @ Milli Vanilli... Cant forget about them. Thank you for your response. :matte-motes-grin:
  19. MoiselleErin Teardrop wrote: If it helps with things - no one really looks much at male avatars anyways so you are on the right track for not wanting to invest a lot of money. I must state differently... I definately take notice in admiration of male avatars when they "do" take the time to be creative, appealing, or sexy... and as Drake mentioned...Im one that loves to take my babe shopping... lol :matte-motes-inlove:
  20. Try Tutys in-world. She has a few different styled bobs and vibrant hair colors.
  21. Ceka Cianci wrote: TKAELA wrote: Unbelievable!... LOL - What a coincidence... I was referring to you in my previous post when I made this statement: I know of this one creator...and it does not matter what time of day it is...his skins are absolutely flawless and very realistic... Downside: He only creates male skins... Anyway..... Thank you very much for your response. I completely agree. The details in your skins are awesome btw and I really hope that you would consider creating female skins in the near future (Crosses Fingers) :matte-motes-inlove: my husband has a couple of his skins..they are sexy *winks* especially in boxers hehehehe Hehe! ~ My bro and my babe has his skin as well...and OMG...dont get me fanning over here thinking on those boxers...Very sexy indeed...LOL :matte-motes-inlove:
  22. Shelby Silverspar wrote: I don't know why LL keeps the default environment settings in the viewer so dismal... just starting people out in a more flattering light, so to speak, would be nice. I completely agree...my point exactly :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2: Thank you for responding.
  23. Nova Convair wrote: Some windlight settings are nice, but I'd find it boring to run around with always the same setting. So I use the local settings (if there are any) and I overide that rarely. At home I change from time to time, depending on the mood. Facelights I lately have switched off completely (no lights attached to avatars are rendered for me). So, whatever you do for visual enhancements, I'll not see that. I do the exact same thing concerning the windlight settings...which I find them to be awesome throughout SL. Thank you for your response. :matte-motes-grin:
  24. You may want to try Prodigal. His skins are very realistic, highly detailed, and have attractive features. They also look great in pictures. TK~
  25. Just as Charlotte said... Imprudence is a good viewer to try along with Singularity and Catznip. I do recommend however, if you really want to enjoy SL in all its beauty, you may want to invest in a better laptop or graphics card. Furthermore, its about your personal preference as well. When I started out, I had an older laptop..didnt realize all of what I was missing until I upgraded to a newer one. Now I can embrace the fullness of SL and maximize the higher settings. :matte-motes-smile: I hope you find a suitable viewer that will give you the performance you need. TK~
