I have filed reports upon reports about this ( ??? ) ( ??? ) that appears as a cloud and attaches to my avatar. it is not me, it's another "entity" that clings to my avatar when I am fully rezzed. whenever this thing appears, I crash immediately. I have been experiencing this for over a month now and it is so traumatizing. when I see it, security orbs cannot detect it, people can't see it (just me!), can't see it on the map too, BUT the radar will tell me when it enters and leaves the sim. It has different avatar keys. but the most disturbing part was when within all those appearances, it has my exact same avatar key. I've reported in-world lots of times and even here in the website but no solution yet :( I have asked so many people who might know what is happening and the last resort was, it's a griefer. they say griefers can track someone, stalk them, and do all sorts of bad things to them, which is what is happening to me. I am so so so sooooo tired telling my story over and over and not getting any solution really. My previous reports and posts here are so detailed and am just so frustrated having to repeat all that and get no good news = SOLUTION. sigh. this all started in a previous parcel I was living in and it made me move to another since it happens there a lot. i thought it only happens in the old parcel but even when I moved to a new place, it still happens but not as often. can anyone enlighten me how to deal with this please? I did file one at JIRA too and they closed my case in a snap. they simply dismissed it saying that my problem is not for JIRA but I should file a ticket at the SUPPORT option, which I did BEFORE filing in JIRA but got the same treatment. they just pass me around >.< FOR Lindal: hi there! thank you for taking time to read and reply to my prob here. well, as mentioned, there was only one time when the avatar key was same as mine, the rest are different :( so I really am clueless as to what's causing this and what triggers it even. Hi there! :) I already filed reports about my problem and I am just being passed around, not getting any solutions, and it's driving me nuts already :P I filed through that 'contact support' portal and tried JIRA, both cases were closed. I really don't know what kind of issue I have since the people I asked about this are all new to it too. I'm so so frustrated now for not finding the solution for this. I'd really appreciate a solution to this as soon as possible. Anyway, here is the situation, for the gazillionth time.... TAKEN from the report I filed in JIRA just minutes ago: Been happening for more than a week now. I was at my SL home just chilling. I was alone and listening to music. Then this orange cloud appeared, same with the particle cloud we see (orange one) when we are still rezzing, or not rezzed fully. I thought someone accidentally TPed in my home because it happened before BUT this one is just a cloud and has a name: (???) (???) on its profile. The profile NEVER loads completely, so it is empty except for the name (???) (???) and its avatar key which is: 91ac8e33-9877-4f66-b630-73ff6a2cc249. My security orb don't detect it, I can't see it on the map, BUT the radar will tell if it enters and leaves a region. So I am so confused if this is another avatar or a bad script or something else. I really am clueless as to what triggered it. At first it only happens in my home. I stay a lot in the home so I didn't experience that in other sims until a few days back. Now it happens in some sims too BUT I noticed that it only happens when within a day, I visit my SL home, where it originated. So I did an experiment and didn't go to my place for a day. I didn't crash nor saw this orange cloud during those times. Then to prove my theory more, I did 2 days. I didn't visit my place for 2 straight days but when I went back to check if it will happen again, I went back there and I crashed. And another time, when I TPed out FROM my place to another sim, the cloud seemed to attach on me and so I saw it in the sim I TPed to. When I have company in my SL home and it happens, they do not see it. I am the only one who can see it, which makes it more weird. I am so clueless as to what this is. A bug? A glitch? A bad script? I really don't know. I have filed reports in-world too when I get the chance to take a snapshot of the cloud. At times it's tough clicking on IT because it is clinging on my avatar and when I get to click it, sometimes it goes away fast or makes me crash. There have been times too that it stays longer than usual. Kindly take note that the orange cloud's 'avatar key' and mine are only different by one character. This is the scenario when that cloud appears. It's following my movements and opposite my fully rezzed avatar is its profile. It's empty and it's not really loading. I just wish for a solution for this soon as I am growing tired searching here and there for people who can really help :( Thank you for your time reading! :)

OH WOW wait a minute! I got it.. really really this time haha! there's an option to ADD, which I didn't notice before (coz all along I only see the REPLACE option when I right click on attachments. I tried it now and voila! I got the eyebrows and makeup on! YaaaaY! Thank you all for the comments! :matte-motes-inlove:

Hello Cinnamon (and my bedroom smells of you and apples for weeks now ^__^ hihi ) yes we can have layers of stuff on our avatar but I don't think it's possible to have more than one of that file type (the one used for the tattoo-- the red, map-shaped or puzzle-shaped icon) coz when I put on one item with that kind of file type then try to attach another, it automatically removes the first one that I placed so unless I find eyebrows that have different file types to choose from, then maybe that's the only time I can wear makeup for my avatar again. :matte-motes-crying: Thanks for posting!

Hi Ariel I use Firestorm most of the time and sometimes V3 when I want to edit my FEED or post new pictures without having to pay for the uploads. This viewer won't allow me to wear the makeup and brows at the same time since they use the same file format for the tat (the file with the puzzle piece like icon) I wish these items have various file types to choose from like some tattooes. sigh. Oh I got it! I found the eyebrows in my inventory, they are tats too that's why they 'disappeared' when I put makeup on Argh! My former skin has eyebrows because it's already a part of the skin that can't be modified. Awww... ok ok I really still have a lot to discover and learn in SL hihi... thanks Marigold for the replies

Yes, same here The eyebrows in the Marketplace pretty much got lost too. haha! I found a few and I'm trying on demos now and they look great on my avatar. Then came another problem: these are tattoo brows which means I can't wear makeup when I have these brows on lol!

Hi everyone! I need some help with this lil problem please :smileyembarrassed: I have used just one skin (the one am wearing in my profile photo here in the forum), which I adored so much eversince I bought it but after months of getting stuck with it (it's unmodifiable :( ) I finally tried another one that I really like now since I can modify it whichever look I like. Problem is, I just realized that she's got no eyebrows. I tried using the pre-loaded eyebrows in my inventory but they don't show on my avatar. I can see a very very very faint line on my avatar (almost like a smudged shadow) where the brows should be but that's just about it. This faint line's super unnoticeable that I literally have to move my face closer to my computer screen in the hopes of seeing those those brows, which I have with my other skin, but they won't show themselves 'in color'. I wanted to use this new skin so bad now that's why I'm getting a little desperate finding a solution to this problem. Your help is much appreciated! Thanks :)

Hey guys! I appreciate all your thoughts and respect each one It's nice to have all these ideas tackled in my thread and it gave me wider perspective (special thanks to Charolotte and Caitlin). Like I said in my very first post, I really am not sure what happens when someone starts following you that's why I called it a bit creepy and stuff but since I've seen answers here, I understand why some of you LIKE being followed and that's a good thing. About the feed, I've yet to explore it though I've posted something on my "wall" and I found out we can put locations in it which is cool. Now that I've read through the good stuff about this following feature, it might be good for some of us then again, I was just really surprised to find that there's no option to decline a follower. SL is different from Facebook and Twitter in this aspect since it's surprising to not have the control over who follows you so to link them a bit, it's like having a Facebook and Twitter and you can't do anything about all those people adding you in their list IF you don't have the control to choose just which ones you wanted to approve. We are all entitled to choose especially with regards to controlling our own accounts online, I believe. Yes the net is a public space but there's the "privacy settings" which makes our accounts still private in our circle. But what's the point of settings things to private if we can't control these followers who would most likely be people we haven't even talked to inworld? Just a thought really coz even in Twitter we can accept or decline who wants to follow us (oh, a little off topic, I have set my PERSONAL PAGE in my profile inworld to FRIENDS only but why is it that people who aren't my friends can still see what I put in it? ). A serious question to which I need some answers to, and anyone is free to help me out figuring out why this is Ok to just put this simply, it is for everyone else's too that the request to have this feature has been forwarded to LL. They may act on it soon or not but it is a good thing to let them know that this might cause outcries if some people would get more than just dead accounts in their followers list. They might get harassed and would not know how to really deal with it as with most of you does fairly well, based from what I've read. Some people might react violently to this issue (yes, there are people like that ) So it's but natural that we bring this up the soonest possible time to prevent that from happening Thanks all and have a blessed Christmas

Oh no no no no.... this thread is not about the FEED (see title of post) The issue I have here's about the FOLLOW thingy and the wish that we could (have the option to ) DECLINE some followers that we really don't want to be snooping around (especially ones we have some personal issues with ). That's why I mentioned my question being off-topic coz it's not about my main concern in this thread

LOL! I like that yes I agree that it's nice to have something like the FEED to share things with the rest of the SL residents. I just wish to not see the names of those people in my profile (the 'unwanted' followers). haha! I don't see any reason why it should be hard to implement, that option to just decline people we don't want in our lives and some others say that there are inactive accounts stuck in their profiles coz these were following them so now they can't take them out and maybe they're like this annoying fly hovering in front of our face and wouldn't leave? lol oh, off-topic, what is this FEED everyone's talking about? I mean how do I view mine? it's where I can see my friends' activities right? but uhmm... where can I find it? is it the same with all the viewers? sorry for the quick queries, I just feel that you know more than me so I just hop straight right in hihi.. I'm not trying to kill anything dear This concern is PLAIN and SIMPLE really. Just wanted the option to NOT accept a follower especially when they're the type of people I'm not really happy to see or talk to for personal reasons. And like I said, I didn't bother with this before but when people who keep on harassing me started following me, then that's the time I tried UNDOING The following to which we are, unfortunately, not able to do so

Yes those are great points and I'd be lucky if those people are like you "no strings attached" and would just like to "enjoy" my thoughts and whatnot. But the problem is, most of the people following me are the ones I'm not comfortable talking to The ones I already tried to not converse with again coz of personal reasons and that's why I call it "A BIT creepy".. not implying to be creepy in general terms coz if you noticed in my first post in this thread, I did say that MAYBE I wouldn't mind FRIENDS following me coz I know them already and they are my friends for good reasons then again, the problem lies when somebody you don't like to see or talk to again is the one following you Before, I didn't have any issues about this BUT since I found out that WE CANNOT choose to DECLINE a follower, that's where my concern for this kind of feature popped up

I'm not a fan of this really, simply because I don't like the idea of being followed whether by a friend and/or especially strangers :P I don't have a clue what this FOLLOW button does actually but it sounds a bit creepy. Has any of you intentionally FOLLOWED a contact or just someone in SL by clicking this button (FOLLOW) in that person's profile? If so, what are the perks you get from it? I really am so curious. I wanted to know coz apparently we have no control over these followers coz we can't press any option for them to UNFOLLOW us and that, for me, is a big hassle. (especially if those people following me can actually see or they know wherever I am in SL without me knowing that they're lurking and watching my every move) I really don't like that. So, one question for our dear SL creators, why can't we have the option to make these unwanted followers UNfollow us? And some other questions, like I've asked above, how does this FOLLOW thing works exactly? What happens if they started following you? Is it like Twitter that whenever you post tweets, that they would be able to read those as well? But at least with Twitter, you can decide whether to ACCEPT or DECLINE such follower but in SL, there's no option like that. I simply hate seeing the FOLLOWERS column in my profile piling up and I can't do anything to make those stop. Actually, MAYBE I don't mind some people following me, like close friends. But if these are perfect strangers or some people I didn't get along very well with but would start following me? It's disappointing to know that I have no control over this. Hope this helps I already tried your suggestion but that option is already unchecked all along Meaning it's not the problem. Sigh. Ok ladies I have tried the unchecking the HTTP TEXTURES and observed for days and days and unfortunately I still get the same problem I only use V2 and not the third party viewers coz I have tried all of them and not one of them works well on my lappy and I seriously dunno why so I stick with V2 coz it works best but yeah I still have this problem though. Just giving you the updates!
