  1. I got in touch with a friend from Europe via email and it seems she and several other friends of hers over ther are unable to access Second Life. Apparently Microsoft is somehow blocking access to the servers as they deemed them unsafe. Anyone know what is going on?
  2. A friend pointed out to me how long it takes for a transfer to go through. At the earliest, I'd be willing to start the transfer the morning of the 30th but no sooner. I want the community to have its farewell event.
  3. A friend of mine has been struggling to make ends meet and, regrefully, I find I can no longer keep my Sim going as I support her. The Sim is home to the Zelda Community in Second Life and, though I hope I may find someone in the community to take it over for me, I can't afford to pay the next tier if not. Region: Generations Version: Second Life Server 12.02.24.1499 Type: Estate / Full Region I am asking for $175 with buyer paying the transfer and tier is due on April 1st. However, there is a stipulation with this purchase. The community would like to hold a farewell event for the Sim which I have asked them to have this Friday, March 30th. So unless the buyer is willing to allow them to have their event first before doing as s/he wishes with the Sim, the actual transfer won't begin until after the event is over on the 30th. I realize this is cutting it close, but I would like the community to have a chance to say farewell before it closes. Thank you for your time.
  4. Right. Need to keep an eye out of them. I'll look into the Relay for Life spot in SL and keep searching. Thank you for the support so far.
  5. Any. Long as they're honorable charities and don't try to make money off of donations, I'd be happy to rez vendors for their causes in my Sim.
  6. Something I've wanted to do ever since I purchased my Sim was set up a Charity Hall. The idea is that this Hall would contain several vendors for honorable charity organizations I've noticed through out SL. I'd like to hold a charity drive this Saturday to encourage people to donate to said charities. However, I've run into a problem. I'm finding it difficult to find these vendors in Second Life. I tried asking in my community group, but non one seems to know or even care about what I'm trying to do. :( It's rather disappointing. So I was wondering if anyone here could help me out? I'd be happy to host a vendor for any respectable charity out there in my Sim provided the vendors themselves are simple and low prim. Thank you for your time.
  7. Long story short, I'm a member of a community that rented a private Sim from a renter for over two months. About a week ago, it was decided to close down due to funding issues among other things, and the renter was informed a week before our tier would have expired. Now we had a farewell event planned and even got a DJ to work a stream, but, at least five hours before our tier would have expired, she auto-returned everything and ruined our farewell event. Can anything be done about this dishonest renter? Thank you for your time.
  8. I logged into my profile on my.secondlife.com to edit a few things and was surprised to find I keep auto directing to the french version of it. I don't know why it's doing this because my primary language has always been english and I gave no indication I even knew French. I can barely understand anything in it now. Is there anyway I can fix this and have it display properly in english? I've tried removed the /fr from the address, but it doesn't change anything.
