Gotta plus 1 the original poster, adding that it's not the author's fault. It's irritating when a company disregards the fact that most of the users of their service speak English (only) and publish front page news in another language with no attempt or ability to filter things that are incomprehensible. I suppose saying 'learn every language on the planet' could be considered a form of localization, but more likely it's just another footnote as to why this company is a case-study in poor management and lack of business analysis.
