    I've never minded the lucky chairs although I pefer lucky toilets myself. ;) One thing I don't understand is the purpose of camping chairs. I would think merchants would prefer shoppers to be browsing the store rather than sitting in one place for an hour. Unless I'm missing something, it would seem shoppers are more likely to make purchases while browsing.

    Thank you for the explanation. That helps. I discovered the hair I mentioned came with a notecard with resizing directions which also indicated the script could be deleted. Are scripts one of the main causes of lag? I've been playing for months without paying any attention to this simply because I didn't know about it. I wonder if many others are in the same situation.

    Occasionally I would get a high script warning upon entering a location. A friend gave me a script counter to help me figure out what was so high. I got naked and used trial and error. The warnings said I was running over 200 scripts. I discovered one pair of boots I have is 97 and one hair is 130. I have a few questions.

    First, what are scripts?
    What is considered an acceptable amount to wear?
    Is there any way to know the script count of an item BEFORE I buy it?

    All the clothing, jewelry, etc that I wear I purchased myself. I have a few photos in my inventory that the friend gave me but I am not wearing them. I actually noticed the tracker HUDs in the marketplace. Will these tell someone my location or just that I am online? I do frequent some places but have also been located at a place I was at only once or twice. This is a very uncomfortable feeling. Is there anything I can do to prevent it? Is there a way to scan my inventory just to make sure I have no tracking items I'm not aware of?

    I am wondering if it's possible for someone to track me in SL. I have friend who does not have permissions to see my location but tends to know where I am and what I'm doing there. I'm not purposely trying to hide anything but the thought of being followed is a bit unsettling. No one on my friend list has permissions to see my location actually.

    I am looking for:

    • preferably ADULT rated but would consider moderate if meets other requirements
    • skybox or home with private local chat
    • unfurnished or partially furnished
    • up to 400L weekly
    • at least 150 prims available

    Currently living in a moderate rated skybox furnished for 450L weekly with 200 prims available.  My complaint is too many furnishings provided leaving me with fewer prims available for my own items.

    Somewhat flexible so if you are in the ballpark as far as price/prims please let me know.  Thanks.

    Thank you for your reply.  I also submitted this question to support and this is the response I received.

    At this time it is not possible to disable receiving the purchase notification emails for content bought through the Second Life Marketplace.

    You may create an email filter that automatically filters those emails to archive them so that they do not clutter up your inbox.

    I made the mistake of accepting a free gift at Paradise Beach and now don't know how to get rid of it.  I have contacted the owner of the SIM, but he was unable to help me.  Every time I enter my skybox residence I receive the following message:

    FreeBee SwimBall 0.9 (wear me)', an object owned by 'Airway', would like to:

    Act on your control inputs
    Animate your avatar

    Is this OK?

    I have selected both the "No" and "Block" options but this message continues to appear.  I have gone thru my inventory and worn items and cannot find anything that matches this item.  There is no object within my skybox either that matches this.  I want to delete this item and stop this message from showing.  Please help.

    When I am notified of a new version of my SL viewer, do I need to uninstall the old version before installing the new one?  Or can I just install the new version?  I am using Viewer 3.

    Inventory Organizers

    I'm not sure where the best place to post this question is, so please let me know if there is a better place.  I was reviewing the inventory organizers in the Marketplace and am curious if anyone can recommend a particular one.  They aren't inexpensive so I hate to blindly purchase something.  Are these worth using?  I'm mostly interested in organizing clothing items.  Thank you.

    For 2 weeks I have rented a partially furnished home in a private dome for 600L per week and 50 extra prims. I feel I am paying a lot but not getting a lot. I am getting exhausted looking at new places. I'd like to pay a bit less than I am now but am having a hard time finding adequate prims. I have a few pieces of furniture myself so something maybe partially furnished or with options of putting furniture out or away would be nice. I also like something more private like a skybox or dome. I am hoping to get some suggestions of places to consider. I've just been wandering around and having little success. Thank you.

    In a few days the rent will expire on the home I am living in.  I have found a less expensive home within the same group that I plan to move to.  I will drop from 50 extra prims to 15, and I have about 20 prims I want to use.  Someone suggested I purchase additional prims(?).  Is this possible and how would I do this?  Also, is it a one time fee or an ongoing expense?

    In world destination search not working.

    I am using Viewer 2 and logging in with advanced mode.  I am unable to access the destination guide search and my profile.  When I select these options I just get a blank box.  I have tried logging out and logging back in and also restarting my computer.

    Clearing cache and relogging did NOT work.

     

    Guess I'll use the web search.  The links works ok.  This is the first time the in world search hasn't worked for me and I'm on the same computer I always am.  Thanks.

    I have a 2 part question.  First, I recently got my own place to rent.  Fortunately I only paid for 2 weeks because I've found out there are much better options.  Right now I have a private island furnished for 600L per week.  Friends have told me there are skyboxes available with furnishing for much less, so I will probably not keep mine after 2 weeks.  Can anyone give me a destination where I can find these skyboxes?  

    Second, I can't figure out how to tell the amount of prims and object has when I am shopping in the marketplace on the web site.  I can't find this listed in the item description of anything I have looked at.  Can someone help?

    How to find web site destinations in world.

    I am currently using Firestorm. I would like to know how to find a destination in world that I found in the web site guide. I have used other viewers that allowed me to click the TP button on the web site to get to a destination. This isn't working with Firestorm. I have tried entering the name of the destination in the search field but it often says not found.

    Please reread my original post.  Also, I don't have the places landmarked because I'm not sure how to get to them to landmark them!

    I am using Google Chrome.  I have Firefox but I have a lot of problems with it crashing.  I avoid using it.

    I have purchased several clothing and accessory items in the marketplace without any problem. Yesterday I purchased a pair of shoes and experienced a problem I never had before. I received the item in world and inboxes it like I always have. Then when I tried to wear the shoes my feet were barefoot despite the shoes being listed in my worn items. I assume the problem is with the shoes since I've never had such a problem with other clothing. What upsets me is this was not a freebie item. Is it possible to get a refund and how would I do that? Thank you.

     

    Added Info:
    There was a note attached to the item about having to change a viewer setting.  I followed the instructions carefully.  There are 3 items or layers that come with the shoes and I did add them all.  Still nothing showed up.  I will try to contact the merchant.  I'm not sure how to send a notecard, but I will try to figure it out.  Thank you.
