  1. When I first log on bandwidth is high but rapidly drops to zero making SL unusable. Once bandwidth hits zero I get logged off. I have only 2% packet loss. My ping to sl is around 190ms. I did a speedtest and to San Fran I am getting around 8mbps down and 0.8 upload. I disabled the firewall on my system as well as my modems firewall and retested. I reset my modem. No change. I have been on SL since 2006 and this is the first time I have had this problem. I don't think my ISP is throttling to zero bandwidth on my account. I see there is some post on the old jira archive but no solutions. Does anyone have any suggestions for remedy? UPDATE Jan 2012: I've found a post which suggests to use PPPoA/LLC instead of PPPoA/VC setting on your modem. I have tried this and so far so good. After trying masses of suggestions from the community and SL techs this is the only solution I have had any success with! I know there's loads of people experiencing the same problem so I hope this may be a real solution. I'll report back if there's any change but so far I'm free again!
