Attention all Second Life animators! I am currently seeking a talented individual to create a full perm pickaxe mining animation. The animation should be smooth, realistic, and...pickaxey? I currently have a full perm mining animation (literally the only one on the SL market) but the movements are slow as though the player is under water, and that just wont do. If you are not an animator, but know how to export existing animations to bvh format and import them to SL, that's fine too! I have an existing animation from Unity we can use but lack the time and knowledge to modify it for SL my self. Steampunk is such a cool genre but there aren't too many low-impact quality builds pre-made for it. I used to have some neat Steampunk stuff but I cleared it out when I got more in to Cyberpunk *facepalm*. Just echoing what the other (much smarter) people above have said; ChatGPT is an amazing tool BUT when it comes to LSL code, it can’t be even remotely relied upon. It makes up functions that don’t exist in order to make the code make logical sense in its own understanding. It does not however, follow the rules of SL scripting most of the time and the output is more often than naught, complete gobblede*****. Just hire one of the many amazing scripters available here or in world to tutor you or walk you through things. I’ve said it before, but I have literally every book on second life scripting ever written in english (and one in Russian for some reason) - and even pouring over them for years, my dumb ass still hasn’t learned how to make a competent script. So unless you have a basic understanding of coding logic, linguistics or a beautiful mind - hire out lol Hopefully one day we will be able to rely on A.I. to help us write the code to make our ideas come to life! But that day isn’t here yet.

I just saw this now and have to say, I’m incredibly impressed that you’re offering the DJ an actual real world salary. You’re awesome, and I’m sure whoever you brought on board is loving it!!

Don’t feel bad. I’ve been trying to learn to script LSL for 12 years,; own every book on secondlife and scripting ever written (hard copy and digital) and STILL can’t do a goddang thing. Might as well be learning Alien language.

I love your space (even though I never seem to be online when it’s active). If I can be of any help within your community please let me know. I have done the DJ thing for a few years and also have experience running / moderating interactive events using 15 years worth of inventory stuff (mud wrestling, different races, many unique mad pea games, greedy dice game, team laser tag, etc). The only caveat with me is my RL schedule makes it impossible for me to become a weekly time slot feature,

The good news is - This look would be fairly easy to achieve a few different ways . Do you have building experience? If you do, you could definitely make this with simple prims or you could likely find a full perm “arch” mesh on marketplace.

I’ll do this for free today if you’re around. I’m bored. Just pay the cost of the mesh upload.

It’s a cool idea honestly, but how would it be implemented? Are the police scripted NPCs or other players? If NPCs, how would the game creators be able to have them rezzed and wandering the various mainland areas? If they were fellow players / avatars, what incentive is there for them to play as the police vs a transporter?

I had an awesome skee-ball game a few years ago! Forget where I bought it but it tracks too players and hands out prizes and tickets etc. Really cool.

My question has always been - why did Minecraft take off, when Second Life never did? Both offer a similar experience of un-scripted sandbox play, with Minecraft having terrible pixel graphics…but people seem to prefer creating things there instead of SL. It’s always baffled me.

I have a quaint discussion room set up on my public mainland parcel. It even has a scripted system that facilitates sessions by allowing for orderly Q&A and organized discourse. Sorry in advance for the convoluted instructions here BUT; On my public mainland parcel, I have a cafe and on the upper level is a fully scripted and animated greedy board on a coffee table. If you click on the notepad or pencil it will give you the option for a tutorial on how to play 3 modes of “Greedy” Practice there as much as you want It’s a public beach and cafe. search for Panache Beach and Cafe.

The link you posted; is that an example of what you want? Why not purchase that than? *confused* If you’re just looking for a flat image map of your parcel with clickable / interactive teleport points, I can certainly make that for you.
