  1. I just glanced quickly, and don't remember much about strings, but... is there supposed to be a negative zero on this line? " // if (llSubStringIndex(data, "#") != -0) "
  2. might be related: https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-32087 https://jira.firestormviewer.org/browse/FIRE-32132
  3. My first guess is that you installed or modified some other program that uses that same key+mouse combo. (Or, another program updated itself automatically and screwed you up.)
  4. Yes. And really, sometimes it is a choice: do you want a lot of favs, or do you want people to look at your work? They are not necessarily the same thing. There are even groups for SL photography that have rules like: "Post 1, Fav 4"
  5. You could try photography classes, I assume there would be photographers there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/206350456439067 And, (from another message board) I haven't checked this out yet, but plan to: "Focus is also a very active Photography Group in Second Life and it's worth joining their group. They organize competitions and tutorials."
  6. I post links to twitter that point to where I actually have my photos. Twitter timeline goes by so fast that people only likely see for a brief instant. but with Flickr and Deviant art, you can direct people to entire galleries of your work.
  7. https://www.facebook.com/groups/206350456439067 classes held at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caledon Oxbridge/75/140/29
  8. add yourself to as many SL groups as you can find. and then add your pictures to them. Many people on Flickr trade favorites for favorites, without looking each other's pictures. One way to get a lot of favorites is to favorite a lot of pictures of others.
  9. I have a couple of ideas 1) can anyone else see this? 2) double check she has ambient occlusion turned off 3) what if she tries the LL default viewer? 4) some people have been having odd problems with shadows, textures, water waves, etc. The temporary work-around for that is... - Teleport to http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Debug1/1/128/23 - observe the water, make sure you see ripples. - Then teleport back and check your transparency highlighting. - You may have to repeat this as necessary.
  10. I was considering getting one. Anything in particular I should know?
  11. IMO, blocking is backwards... should be that blocking a person makes it so they can't see or hear you, not the other way around.
  12. thank u for posting the solution!
  13. I've been using FRAPs for, like, forever. One thing I like about it is that you can set it to capture uncompressed frames. I have an old graphics card, but when I am lucky, I can capture 30 uncompressed frames a second. Each frame is also a possible Flickr SL photo candidate. (Hopefully, I will upgrade my GPU soon.) I have not tried OBS. NVIDIA tools and Windows game bar hardly put any load on your system. However, (in my experience) they compress as they record. I try to avoid compression wherever possible, because: If you compress when u record, and aren't careful and edit the footage, most video editing programs, by default, in my experience, output a compressed version of what you are editing. That's two compressions. Then, either while uploading to, and/or watching from YouTube, your video gets compressed a 3rd and/or 4th time. This is not bad if not much is changing on the screen in your videos. For me, I like to record particles (and other videos where the scene might change a lot), and when the image on the screen is changing rapidly, you want to avoid compression as much as possible. So I try to record and edit and output-from-edit all uncompressed. YouTube compresses enough. Of course, someone here might have better solutions, so I am all ears! 👂
