  1. You still need to own a full region to own a homestead region. See here: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Homestead-Regions/ta-p/846139
  2. Thining my herd! The homestead up for sale is "Roanoak Wasteland" and the tier due on the 9th of March. Must be moved and renamed, being is it's smack in the middle of my other regions! I'm looking to get $50USD + transfer fee of $100, so $150USD. You can IM me in-world if you like: Valinye Resident Thanks!
  3. $500, I will cover the transfer fee. Tier is due on the 22nd of June. IM Valinye Resident if interested.
  4. It has been sold. They go fast these days.
  5. Full 15k prim region for sale, $300 and I will pay the $100 transfer fee. Tier is due on the 28th, and the sim will either be sold or turned off by the 27th. Please drop me an IM in-world if you are interested: valinye resident
  6. It is handled by Linden Lab, hence the transfer fee that will be paid by either the seller or the buyer. The way it works typically for me, at least the last dozen times, is I contact the seller and get the name of the region and their name, and put in a help ticket under the region transfer category indicating my intention to buy. I then give the seller my ticket number, which they add to their ticket in the same category with intention to sell (and typically the intent to cover the transfer fee), and they send me their ticket number. I then add that number as a comment on my ticket, just to help LL out. After that, LL handles all of the monetary exchanges and the billing alterations. The region will keep its tier date across the transfer, so you will be on the hook for tier when it is due. Which is why most region sale ads contain the tier date. All in all, a very secure system. And in some 20 region purchases from other residents I have never had an issue.
  7. I too have had this problem, wherein after camming around a bit Firestorm starts to act like it will lock up: 5-10 second pauses in rendering until I manage to get the graphic settings open and toggle something (forcing a reset of the render surface). In testing, I have found that disabling "render glow" has had a marked improvement in stability... For me. Something you may want to try.
  8. One of my sims is currently down still as well. What is so infuriating is the lack of information coming from Linden Lab... I've lost four hours of traffic, several groups are making alternate sim plans, and I have renters beating me over the head - and LL can't even update the status of the issue.
  9. On my 2011 powerbook I've taken a 50% performance hit for some unknown reason with 2.8 and it's gotten completely crashtastic. Now I know how those Nvidia folks have been feeling I guess.
