LadySunfire ... I had the same predicament for weeks and looking for ways to play SL. Followed all instructions from the Technical Support Advisors, read "Logging Problem" in SL Support, Uninstall and re-install again, cleared Catche, and other stuff with no avail. For my last attemp before I give up SL, I download the Beta Viewer and it work for me. I was in new vewer2 and experiencing the same problem. If you are in new version V2, try to swicth to Beta you'll find it there in download page.Do not click "download", click "Beta" and you'll be automaticaly get it and Icon on the browser. I just done this yesterday, the 27th, july2011 and immediately played my favorite place"Jessee " Combat stuff. Now, the thing is the "my profile" bar. It's new to me and I have to find how to show profile,looks empty. Ok, hope this works for you. Good luck.

I had the same problem with Viewer2 and keep logging me out. A box crasher logger appeared and shows"App may appear frozen". It logged me in for a few seconds then crashed out. Today I found the solution: I was in Viewer 2 and I switched to Beta Viewer and it works. So far not crashing out and all my Inventory Lists are in there. If you are in one of these Viewers, try switching. I went to download page, but did not download SL. Go right to select your next Viewer. NO, I did not see any "Firestorm Beta", just Beta Viewer.

I am experiencing same predicament as you are, same exactly. I missed SecondLife, If I find the solutions I let you know.Probably we have to go to earlier Viewer.

During downloading SecondLife, a dialog box appeared and it says "Second Life crash logger.Gathering hardware info.App. may appear frozen". It disappeared then I got logged on for only about 5 seconds and stopped.My upper bar then says "Second Life not responding". I waited a while and resulted given me a "runtime error-abnormal program termination". Then CPU pop out "high CPU usage". I don't know if this is relevant to my problem. After it logged me out "Second Life not responding" then another dialog box appeared "driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered,NVLDDMKM. I don't know if this significant. Thank you.
