  1. I'm sick of it. I quit this cancer of a program years ago, but despite having "receive Offline messages vie email" unckecked, and "email subscription settings" unsubscribed, I keep getting emails. What part of "DO NOT EMAIL ME" is so confusing for the idiots that run this **bleep**? Not only that, but I CHANGED my email address to stop getting emails, but it's still emailing the old one. It's set to not send emails to my yahoo account. Instead, it IS sending emails to my GMAIL account. I thought valve's employees were stupid, but this is on a different level. "You should try XXXX" is NOT a solution. It is not the responsibility of the customer to fix the product. If you order something at a restaurant and they give you the wrong order, the correct answer isn't "Go into the kitchen and make it yourself". If you hire a plumber, and they flood your house, the correct answer isn't "Fix your pipes yourself". If you tell a software company not to email you, and they email you anyway, the correct answer is not "Block the emails".
  2. ok, so next time it happens ill try hitting escape and closing my wifi connection
  3. that looks like a desktop thing. mightve helped last time this happened, but im on a laptop now
  4. found it, here is only one second life error. it said that the program stopped responding and was closed, even though it wasnt closed. ill try disconnecting from my wifi next time (although someone i was with on sl told me i went offline after a while). and i hope someone has the answer, the only thing ive ever seen before today is people not reading the post and saying to open task manager.
  5. afraid i did that already. it happened on my old desktop from a year ago with the current viewer, and it still happened on a different computer (basically equivalent to reinstalling it after deleting every last related file) with the current current viewer
  6. pc, windows 7, standard viewer, wireless. also happened: pc, windows xp home, standard viewer from a year ago, wired
  7. task manager and task killers do not work. second life crashes and no matter what i do, the window will not close, it is permanently "not responding" until i restart my computer. task manager and task killers do not work. did i mention task manager and task killers do not work? people dont seem to understand this and dont read the post, then assume that opening task manager and ending the process or downloading a task killing program will fix it. it will not. if you bothered to read the post you would know that. read more than the title or dont bother trying to help, because you arent even trying to help. task manager and task killers do not work.
