  1. Which viewer would work the best and be the most compatible with my laptop? LLV2, Kirstens, Imprudence, Firestorm, or any other TPV. My experience is pretty crappy, due to the fact that my computer specs are crappy(For LLV2 at least), But I would like to know if its even worth it to try to experiment with TPVs and see which works the best for performance, before looking for a new laptop or even desktop all together. Please help, or anyone else that kind of has the same specs as my laptop what do you use? CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46GHz (1463 MHz) Memory: 1014 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Service Pack 2 (Build 6002) Graphics Card Vendor: Intel Graphics Card: Intel 965/963 Graphics Media Accelerator Windows Graphics Driver Version: 7.14.0010.1244 OpenGL Version: 1.5.0 - Build 7.14.10.1244
  2. In some places there will be dancing campers. Many say "sorry not in use" but others that are on one show how much money they have earned thus far. Do all of the campers work, and you just have to be there for a certain amount of time OR are the people whose camper shows how much money they've earned, are they on the ones that work? I'm a bit confused by this, so sorry if my question is confusing.

  4. Thank you so much for helping me find the problem ; Now I need to start using a desktop computer.
  5. Found my Computer specs. Second Life 2.8.3 (238392) Aug 12 2011 06:01:55 (Second Life Release)Release Notes CPU: Intel® Pentium® Dual CPU T2310 @ 1.46GHz (1463 MHz) Memory: 1014 MBOS Version: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit Service Pack 2 (Build 6002) Graphics Card Vendor: Intel Graphics Card: Intel 965/963 Graphics Media Accelerator Windows Graphics Driver Version: 7.14.0010.1244 OpenGL Version: 1.5.0 - Build 7.14.10.1244
  6. Arg! I'm using a laptop. Is that why no matter how much I change my preferences I still have under 10 FPS?
  7. What is the best way to maximize my FPS? The highest I have ever seen mine was about 6.2 fps and most of the time its 3.3 fps or lower in crowded places & people have told me that those numbers are BEYOND low. From what I have heard, higher FPS gives me a greater performance on secondlife, for example, not making it as slow. And trust me, when I say that its slow, I mean S L O W. Half the time it would take me about 30 minutes just to explore a new place because of how long it takes me to walk around. Please someone help me with this. I'm willing to learn, so Preferences suggestions or anything would help. Not really familiar with my computer specs, or even how to find them at that (Kind of a noob when it comes to that stuff). So detailed instructions would be really helpful. I've had this problem for quite some time, and I would enjoy Secondlife so much more if I could find a solution. I use windows Vista if that helps any.
  8. Maximum Bandwidth is in the Setup section of prefs right? & Thank you soo much for your help. I've been having this problem for quite some time now and never thought to ask about it in the forums until now.
  9. So I went to my preferences and went to where you said and come to find out, My Anisotrophic filtering and Anti-Aliasing aren't enabled at all. They are both disabled. Should they be turned on and just put onto a low setting? Or could those two possibly not be the problem at all?
  10. I don't know if its just me, or just my computer. But The viewer is sooo slow and when I go into places with a ton of people or items it takes forever for me to just walk around. Sometimes, I get soo much lag that I have to close second life altogether. And restart. I love second life, but it would be so much better if I could get around this problem. I have windows Vista, and I am using a laptop. My software isn't ancient, so I don't know what the problem is. Can someone please help me find a solution to this?
