  1. Sounds like a graphics issue. The viewers are setting your graphics to best work with your computer by default. The glow in your hair could be caused by a facelight OR something in the edit window of the hair such as light or glow used. White prims being really bright would be something to do with your graphics settings. Prims with lights usually get brighter automatically. You can go to Me>Preferences>Grafics>Custom and untick things one at a time going from bottom to top and using the sliders one at a time (save before moving to the next in line) to see which of these settings is causing the problem for you.
  2. Are you talking about on the marketplace or in-world? If its in marketplace, make sure your search filter has Adult. Give more information in your question, on the right hand side of your post there is an options button. Click the button and a menu will drop down, choose Edit and add in additional information EDIT: While attempting to help her inworld, she figured it out. I assume she just logged in since the search just stays "General" for people who are not logged in which is the problem she was having.
  3. I like that idea Since you thought of it, you should be the one to post it as a new feature in jira https://jira.secondlife.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa
  4. For infohubs it should be no build, but ability to use scripts. Most people wont visit if their huds/objects wont work. If they want to drive, they can wear an attachable car or vehicle of some kind.
  5. I see these tools that are available to us to be creative with our posts, but does it make a difference? I mean I could type in bright pink comic sans 24pt font and stand out, but if I were to do that it would be more like I was demanding more attention in every post than normal. Most people in the forums dont use these tools at all, which is comforting. What is your thoughts on the options to change your font/size/color? Do you feel it is something that is needed or just something thats convienient?
  6. Hrm I usually shop in marketplace and if I find something I like, I visit the store in-world to see if they have anything else I might like thats not on their marketplace store. I also go to search and sometimes one of the classifieds will catch my eye and I'll visit Hehehe I forgot to mention my sneaky habbit of inspecting people's stuff and visit the shop through a pic or classified in the creator's profile.
  7. Well there could be a number of reasons. You need to tell us if you have payment on file, if you're trying to use a prepaid visa or mastercard, if you're using paypal and paypal hasnt limited your account for anything, it could really be anything. We need more information from you. On your post, on the right hand side click the Options drop-down menu and select Edit to tell us what exactly is up with your payment info and whether or not you've already got to the purchase limit set for your account.
  8. The only one who can truely answer your question is a linden via live chat (you have to be a premium member to use, but if you own land on mainland you're already premium). I think its possible, but I didnt see an option for it in the submit a ticket page under land.
  9. Sounds like a rollback. You could always IM the creator of the painting and see if they will give you another copy considering the circumstances. But seeing as it was transfer, just no copy... they might not replace it for you because for all they know you could have given/sold it to someone, and wanting another one to do it again. You could also file a report here: https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and see if a Linden will help out.
  10. Dom Mystiere wrote: Don't waste your time here, friends, since you are so helpfull please go help users with high specs computers that, nevertheless, keep crashing with Viewer 2 all the time. I saw your little edit there, changing "kids" to "friends" There are several reasons why people crash on viewer2. Sims going down, griefers, people with hacked clients crashing others, someone wearing a texture meant to crash people, someone wearing a sculpty meant to overload graphics cards, people wearing multiple attachments all with particles streaming from them, people with hacked clients crashing others via voicechat, people who get banned will sometimes get crashed when the ban happens, an avatar hack that someone wears and crashes everyone around them, they dont meet the system requirements (the worst computer you can get), and the list goes on. None of the items I listed would be fixed if there was a lighter veiwer that you would be able to SEE inworld. Even a light version would not be able to support many different computers with low specs.
  11. Hehehehe nope you can get like 4977L for 20 bucks USD Everything you buy in SL costs L's or Lindens. Anywhere from free (0L) to REALLY expensive (10,000L) I like your post, it was too cute
  12. I wonder when this thread is going to be locked since he's just going on and on and not getting it.
  13. Dom Mystiere wrote: "People have been asking for a light weight viewer for at least 5 years now". Second Life has been losing millions of users for at least 5 years now. Maybe just a coincidence or... People come and go daily, alot stay. You're just making up numbers to prove a point you dont have.
  14. "Your computer must meet these REQUIREMENTS, or you may not be able to successfully participate in Second Life." http://secondlife.com/support/system-requirements/ This is to be able to SEE inworld. If you dont meet the requirements, chances are the viewer will not lot you in, or it will crash upon logging in. If you do not meet those requirements, then the only option is to get a text-based viewer "A light weight, text only viewer for Second Life. It's designed to resemble and function as an instant messaging client, that can be used in an office environment, on low performance/bandwidth computers, or when multiple instances are needed."
  15. Dom Mystiere wrote: You all are very agressive. If you are so sure that is impossible and stupid to ask for a lighter viewer you should calm down. From what I've read, everyone is calmed down. You're the one getting offended.
  16. Dom Mystiere wrote: This is how newcomers are treated No respect at all for different opinions. But when the time SL is been turned into a desert, with no residents, you will shout out loud in your loneliness: "Yeah!!! Totally radical!!!" I was actually being nice and you're being sarcastic. Listen, you will NOT get what you want to hear. You're asking for something that is IMPOSSIBLE. SL will not cave to you because YOU want to use some POS machine to run SL. Get a better computer and get rid of your attitude. EDIT: Hrmmm that sounds a little harsh, but I think its the tough love the OP needs
  17. Sorry, but normal sl on low graphics is the best deal you're going to get without loosing the ability to see inworld. I know you want people to respond and be like "Yeah!!! They should do that!!! Totally radical!!!" so on and so forth, but its just not possible. I know you're really excited because its YOUR idea and you want people to agree with you, but we have to be reasonable and know that we cant expect certain things from the way in-world is set up.
  18. 2 places I've been to, i found through search and while I was there I got a little bored and looked at the About Land and noticed that they do not have "Show place in search" ticked. How is this possible that its in search? EDIT: Thanks for the description, but when I found both places, it was in the Places search. Not classifieds, not destinations, not in events, ect. It was in Places. Thats whats got me so puzzled about it. They didnt have the "show place in search for 30L" checked, and yet they still popped up in search under "Places"
  19. I think what it is, is that people expect too much. Everything has limitations and some people cant accept that.

    now

I had that happen to me a few years ago. Apparently my avatar was stuck on a sim and I was able to log in only after the sim restarted. Someone else might post with some information that might help you, or they'll tell you to submit a ticket for it.
  21. You dont cancel them. They run out of time. They're only good for so long and then you have to buy them again. Refund? Nope, sorry.
  22. Okay, but it still loads on demand... regardless of what sim you're in or how laggy the sim is. So, how ever they programmed it, its working.
  23. In older viewers or viewers that use the old 1.23 version (phoenix for example) have the ability to just click search or profile and poof there it is regardless of what sim you're on or how laggy it is. In Viewer2, if you're on a sim that even remotely laggy, search will either take a long time to load or refuse to load and profiles are the same way. Why? Its like these new web-based versions are more troublesome than they should be with loading based on what sim you're on and how many people are around you. Thank god the map still works the same as the other viewers. If that turned web-based too, then I wouldnt be able to go anywhere except places that I already had the LM to.
  24. I'm looking for a bed that looks nice, with sculpties and such, that doesnt have any adult animations in it. Something like this: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/PROMO-SEX-CUDDLE-BED-LINDA-218-animations/1872825 but without the adult animations
