After finally contacting my ISP today, they had found nothing wrong with our modem/router/cables/web connectivity/etc...(a few attempts were made rebooting hardware, router, & modem and all are still operational with no broken indicator on our end). It takes long download/upload times and packets are lost along the way via the communication between IP and Linden servers in San Francisco. RAMS isn't even bogging down our router, so there shouldn't be a reason why our IP is getting lost because internet and other online games are working just fine. I've tried rebaking my avatar, switching groups back and forth, teleporting to other regions, and even tested an empty sim region like Furball to see if my avatar would finally download. NOTHING IS HELPING at this point and neither the forums from Q&A Knowledge Base. I'm a big spender in Second Life and I also build houses and other objects. So it's very important to me to get back in the game as I've already started projects and paid tier rent for 3 weeks coverage. Please help figure out why this Second Life glitch if finally affecting me after being a long-time player since 2007 (previous avatar name Stellar Roux) on this same desktop Mac (I meet all the computer requirements to get Second Life to play, rezz objects, and teleport - just not being able to rezz my avatar to no avail). The issue lies with Linden Lab servers now. This reminds me of having a 4G smartphone yet not being able to use it because a lot of people are bogging down the only available 4G towers in our area. Is there a way to redirect our IP to an East Coast Linden server so we can hop on that? Any help would be appreciated at this point. I'm at my wits end. Thank you very much, Armani Fallen
  2. I tried logging in today but all 3x times I was just a cloud of smoke. My only issue. Otherwise, I can see buildings, scenery, and residents rezz just fine. I was playing yesterday till 12a.m. this morning just fine. Then I log on today and now I have issues. Is there something going on that's affecting in game play besides web/wiki issues?
  3. Any GIMP Painter and Blender 3D users on here that can help instruct me on how to create textures, sculpties, and home building blueprints or maps?   5. How can sculpties benefit me in building prefab homes? Can I use them to link to my construction? I have so many questions about prefab home building. Like, are there important building tools I need like HUDs or whatever that I need to have when building? I was browsing SL and I don't understand how a prim mirror or a math build calculator could be used. If there are any building products that you may deem necessary, could you please suggest them to me? I need really good mentors to help me get started.   6. I'm seriously wanting to learn how to start building prefab homes in Second Life. I'm tinkering with very basic structures, but I notice that I sometimes I cannot align the prims like floors and walls properly. Can anyone please explain to me how I can use grid snapping? I read something about this on a forum, but it didn't elaborate much. Please help? I also wouldn't mind being friends in world with Master Home Builders, so kindly add me? I need mentors!
