  1. Thanks ! Solved it indeed. How would someone solve making a gridwide updater? llEmail is slow?
  2. Was wondering how i should remove all notecards in the objects inventory. I now have this and get loads of errors: notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 0); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 1); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 2); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 3); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 4); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 5); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 6); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 7); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 8); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 9); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 10); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 11); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 12); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 13); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 14); llRemoveInventory(notecard); notecard = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_NOTECARD, 15); llRemoveInventory(notecard);
  3. Dear Ziggy, Thank you for your well detailled reply, theres allot i will take out to learn from you sayings, i do agree on the pictures. I had myself argueing with my mind about what description was adequite for the product, but since there wasn't much to "explain" about them .. i just cut it short. I will put more thought into it, and see what i can reach. Maybe have somebody from US/UK write something about it. I had been thinking about that sculpty gun sight, but i think it's easyer and cheaper for people just to buy complete freebie guns and mix those up. The stiletto got most views. (perhaps being rare in its category.) I will continue working on this and see if it helps. tyvm
  4. Thanks for the advice. I havent had the experience of talking with costumers yet, no sales so far.
  5. Dear Chelsea, Thank you for your kind words, and showing me the checklist you have wrote. I think i would score 7 out of 9 on your list, and will need to improve things. Also i wasnt talking about Ingame traffic, i was talking product views/search pop-ups. I dont yet have my products exposed in SL. &I understand what you are saying, but LL is quite easely tipped off the toes to remove a thread. this is the store anyways
  6. Dear Forum people, as my birthdate explains .. i should have some SL experience. I have just opened up my first store, but im having trouble getting sales. (views are not a problem.) I have already drasticly lowered my prices. Maybe not the right product? I will only give my marketplace URL through private message requests, or search for my name. I do not want to be suggested to be advertising for my store.
  7. What skills hav e yiou got?
  8. Dear Residents, my partner is trying to get her account back. But it has been placed on hold. Yet the 'guest' ticket-system doesnt get any replys, and i cannot unlock the account through my own on behalve of her. What should i do? The contact with LL goes very bare and slow.. hard to settle. --- The account has been placed on hold, and going to support logs it out. The only way to create a ticket for this account is by guest. "If he is unable to access the website, he can submit a ticket as a guest" - ShirleyM Scout --- I had an guest ticket created weeks ago without reply to it. I dont think you quite understand. She cannnot submit tickets because her account is on hold, how else is she supposed to contact LL?! She cant log in. -As soon as i reach out for help it logs me out.
  9. Dear Knowl, I am not sure if that's a good idea. If you can only build, i will have to find a texturer to texture it .. then we would only get a third of the profits.. witch is just shame of the cause. Maybe you could show me some of your builds sometime?
  10. Dear reader, I like to invent items as a scripter, mainly focussed on smart droids, automated machines, and vehicles. Unfortunately, i lack building/texturing/designing skills to make my ideas ready for sale. If there is any builder up to the challenge, willing to go for a 50/50 split on product. Forming a store/production-line togheter id be very happy to hear from you. As much as i appreciate any reply, i am looking for an more experienced builder. Thanks in advance, Fin
  11. Likes: Scripting, inventing things, building, roleplaying. Dontlike: Combatting, dancing, boxheads. Hehehe
  12. I dont want to be copy someone's work though. It'll be a variation, same idea different package. I respect the creator of the originals.
  13. Heya, sure if you can show me an example of what you mean i can make something similar for you.
  14. Look for an Urban RP sim .. usually reconstructed town/city where you can freeroam.
  15. In my well heartedness, i kept it in the back of my mind. If you are serious about this in the future, and you are planning to stick on the grid for more then a couple of weeks.. You should take this approach: See if anyone in your friends-zone might have some land, or even a tiny room available for you to lend. When you have establisht such 'office-room' it will be your headquarter, from here you will organize and put up any acts/products you are affiliated with. This way you dont forget or miss out on any tasks you may get. Next thing you want to do is find people, either bands salespeople or landlords that are willing to work with you. That makes you there 'event-contact'. Once you have some 'artists', go find some clubs or stages with a nice visitor-rate. Ask them if they need any musicians. Besides they get there payment through direct payment or tips, you may ask commision for setting them up. This would be the easyest way for you to earn some money, not much but it is a start for someone without any knowledge of this world. Give artists a stage and profit a little by there success. Goodluck.
  16. It is not possible to change item properties, but with a little work you can make the vendor sell individual versions. Copy only version, mod only version etc. &koto Nizna you should log into SL, ive made you a free full perm example of my reasoning above. Its very cheese only spend 5 minutes on it. If it is what you ment you should have someone develop it further on for you.
  17. I agree with you to this, but then a 'second-hand'-market would erupt, devalueing there items. If not allowed to resell people tend to do so. Ofcourse all the merchants want to see is that every single resident pays for it.
  18. Thanks for the advice (this counts for everyone.) I think i might have to stay with scripting for aslong as needed, consider buying some sculptykits maybe.
  19. If you find out the formula of clothes that attracts all women, drop me a notecard. *Calls his IRL tailor.*
  20. Zead wrote: Screw working irl ima get a job on the net. Things im interested in doing are SEO, marketing, anything that doesn't really need an irl tallent i know this isn't much of an aplication but atm i don't know what im interested in so if anyone wants me to do something i'll it out. Dear Zead, I remember the position you are in. I (now 19-age verified resident), had been on the grid too. With other intentions perhaps. Some advice from person to person, change the attitude. Just because you dont want to be filling stocks in your local supermarket doesn't make you a talented marketeer. These people on the grid may have had to work twice as hard, as any IRL trained marketing-personel. There is no 'give me an office-seat'-system going on here. You will have to work really hard, and find a way to get working. Also even though this world is big, it all depends on reputation. I think you might want to rethink this topic and come back with something proffessional. Thats what you are looking for is it not? Proffessionality? Good luck on your 'search', Fin.
  21. I found this a little weird, but hey you're not the only one having this problem. I would suggest you going onto the marketplace, around apparal and then the category 'Outfits'. You can find complete sets of outfits there. I would suggest getting a scruffy skin, with something wintery. Now summer is coming you might want to go for a blouse with nice jeans and some 'converse'-type shoes. Afraid i cannot link some examples because of the policy! Goodluck anyways from a fellow gent.
  22. Dear Niko, owning a sim can be quite a hassle and expensive. If i were you i'd pick between 'residential' or 'commercial'. Residential would stand for purely living, and commercial would be for placing stores, selling land etc. Do you wish to pay it fully out of own pocket, or have residents contribute? Anyway you decide you should make it something you desire most. Have you never flewn over an area and had that feeling wanting such soo bad too? You should realise it. Have a nice tour around SecondLife's hotspots and see if it brings any inspiration! Good luck!
  23. Looking for any kind of project, from sim-development. (I'd love to be part of an RP-sim creation one day.) The set-up of a new business, or any kind of inventive way to store my creativity. Anything is welcome, from fun to payed work. NOTE: If you think your project will only last for a few days, or you/your team is inactive please dont bother. I'm looking for a project that consumes loads of my time! I wish to be a volunteer in such project, and will not charge money. Somethings about me: Name: Finrod Ghennyn, call me Fin or Finny. About me: Experienced SecondLife resident. Like to try out new things. If i even charge money, usually is only the cost of uploads. Skills: Writing articles/giving shape to magazines etc. Scripting Webdesigning/development Leading a group of people. Motivation: I need a goal that i can work towards. Enthusiastic.
  24. So i've made my return to Second Life, and decided to stay. Anybody who likes to have a chat, be kind and show me places i have never seen.. do add me. Most of my friends from a year ago, are inactive. Dont be shy at all.
  25. I've tryed blender for a while. All i got was corrupted sculpty files. If they were even converted.
