I'm going around with a mesh avie and on 100 people only 1 can see me. Nobody use viewer 3, most of people use phoenix viewer. Lindens, you have two choices, or you close the access to all the viewer 1 based, or you support the phoenix/firestorm development. (or other viewers) It's about money, if we sell -> we rent a land. if we rent a land -> you get money. You worked hard for the mesh development, but actually only few people can see meshes (most mesh builders lol). I guess you are interested to the mesh incoming in SL, if so, make a choice. Becouse mesh is inworld but nobody see it.

Leg spikes and skin weights in Second Life 3.0.2 (239050)
MaxTux Wonder replied to MaxTux Wonder's topic in Mesh
Thank you Prep for your reply, i fixed it moving the left leg vertices that causes spikes, now looks fine Didn't changed the weights on the leg, just moved the vertices, so i guess is not a weight issue -
Seems that the https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SH-2044 is still not fixed in Second Life 3.0.2 (239050) i tried to upload my mesh avie today: there are still left leg spikes :(

What type of free software to create Mesh Clothing?
MaxTux Wonder replied to Cassandra Visage's topic in Mesh
Anyway, Blender is not a "freebie 3D app" is a PRO 3D modelling program... as far as i saw, most of the ones that succeded to rig a mesh for SL are builders that work with Blender like me -
true, i've experienced similar problems, please confirm the bug on the blender development forum: http://projects.blender.org/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=28215&group_id=9&atid=498

Second Life Rigged Clothing Tutorial Series (Blender)
MaxTux Wonder replied to Ashasekayi Ra's topic in Mesh
Thank you Vivienne! in blender you can move the joint points of your armature and then apply the visual transformations, so you can have a tiny o giant avie without problems! (or a small avie with giant arms if you want, lol) And, please lindens, stick this topic on the top, lots of question on the forum are about rigging in blender I guess can be handy for all of us. -
Second Life Rigged Clothing Tutorial Series (Blender)
MaxTux Wonder replied to Ashasekayi Ra's topic in Mesh
is not a problem, you can export with blender 2.49 i work with blender 2.5 and when i'm done i export with blender 2.49 (great job for your tutorials Ashasekayi, gave a kudos to you) -
When you export a collada file from your work, you actually export textures too, so if the textures are in the same directory of your collada file, you can import mesh and textures all together in one time in sl. (remember to check the texture selection box. Once you uploaded mesh and textures, you can find them in the texture subdirectory, anyway if you want you can upload the texture later and assign it to the object just dragging and dropping the texture on it

Very good job!
