Also check in all the boxes/folders that came with the body.  With the female Slink Redux body, there were tattoo "toetips" in the folder with Slink skins and brow tattoos.  From the NC included in that folder:

That was the solution. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better, and a lot quicker than finding another skin.

You can change them under your parcel information, the environments tab.

    OK! Thanks!

If you're in the US, the Sherwin-Williams paint site lists all the RBG numbers for their paints, under the details tab for each color. Lets you pick the exact color you need to redecorate.

    What a useful tip.

The CalWL EEP is in your Linden Library. Do a search for it in your Inventory, right-click and choose "Apply only to myself".

Thanks. I had no idea. Where did LL publicize this?

If you right click your toolbar you should see an option for Toolbar Buttons..

Click that and look for a button called Phototools..

You can drag the Phototools button to the side of your screen or put it at the bottom with the rest of your buttons..

When you have it placed, click the phototools button and you'll get the phototools window to pop up..

At the very top of the window you'll see a bunch of tabs.. just make sure it's on ENV, which is short for environment..

You will see 3 drop down tabs.. Sky, Water, Day Cycle.. The one you want to scroll through is Sky.. That will take you through your EEP's you install as well as the default  wind light that come with the viewer..

It's great for taking pictures when you want to try out different lighting..

I wish I could remember how I got personal lighting button on my screen but can't remember how I did that.. hehehe

That one is really nice to play with lighting and things as well.

you can find that  in the menu at the top of your viewer called, World, click then scroll down to environment, a menu should pop out and you should see an option for personal lighting.. click that and that window will pop up..

in that window you'll see a moon and sun with the little moon and sun on each of them.. You can move the little ball around and see how it changes the moon and sun positions and changes your lighting in each different wind light/EEP.

You can get way more involved, but that's the basic toy in the personal lighting to get you started in that if you wish to play with it.

whatever you do with those sun and moon positions, they will reset each time you change to a different wind light.

Thanks. It will take me a while to work through this.

What are the pros and cons of setting personal lighting versus parcel?

Wherer casn I read about this stuff?

With the CalWL setting, things looked a little cartoonish, with a little too much contrast, all black lines a little too balck, and colors a little too bright, like they look when "Full Bright" is turned on.

Thanks to all of you for this help. I had no idea at all that I could do this.

  3. I recently acquired a Victorian Linden home in Bellisaria. I am decorating it. I am having problems with the interior wall colors. It came with a tool for recoloring the walls. The colors are all darker than expected and some are off. For example, RGB 255,255,255 is gray, not white, and RGB 255,255,0 is sickly green, not yellow.

    What is going on?

Is there anything to do about it if I want light and/or bright-colored walls?

  4. I have Linden home in Bellisseria, which is moderate. I understand that adult activities are prohibited outside in plain view. Is it required to have windows covered, like with drapes or shades when engaging in adult activities inside the house? If I had a privacy fence around the back yard, would adult activates be permitted inside the fenced area?

  5. Now, I may need multiple HUDs on my screen. Many of them are much larger than they need to be. Why? Don't the creators understand that it's a plus if a HUD is only as large as it needs to be? And why don't more HUDs have the ability to be minimized?

Unfortunately, calculation of a large number of collisions for 'realistic' physics would cause a large load on both the LL server and your Internet connection. I would also

I would eagerly get a faster connection if it allow me to have better SL performance. Next week, I'm scheduled to get an upgrade from 80 mbps to 300 mbps; I could have gotten 1,000 mbps, but i couldn't see a reason to have that much bandwidth. I would also happily upgrade my computer and gladly pay more for more server power, if it would improve my SL experience.

Would it be feasible for LL to offer a premium account that included better server performance? If they could, those who wanted it and were willing to pay for it could have it, and others wouldn't have to pay for it. I've wondered for years why SL didn't have better collision detection, considering how much better our experience could be if it did. If the only reason is that it would take more server power and bandwidth, then we should have the option of having it.

  7. FWIW, a couple of years ago, when I was entering a period when I could only use a laptop for several months, I bought a laptop that was specifically marketed for gaming because I wanted to use it for SL, and got the best options offered for processor and graphics adapter.  It was expensive.  It never came close to running SL as well as my desktop.

  8. I tried to make my avatar as similar to me as possible, so it has, sadly, a considerably larger belly than most avatars, and standard sized mesh cloths don't fit.  I would like to wear mesh clothing because I think it looks so much better than painted-on clothing.  I thought fitted mesh would be just the thing for me.  However, I am having trouble finding fitted mesh casual men's clothing.

    I would appreciate suggestions.

  9. I have been looking unsuccessfully for men's casual woven shirts that are worn with the tails tucked into pants.  I found some on marketplace that were shown tucked in, but when I bought them I found that they left my midriff bare.  I beleive that to have a tucked-in shirt really look right, it needs to have an underpants layer as well as a shirt layer.

Does anyone know where to find shirts like I am seeking?
