During the process of change, public actions are the strongest factor. Protests! Imagine the French Revolution without literature or civil rights movements without songs and visual images. Think of ghettos without murals, music concerts used to draw attention to a cause, womens' movement posters. Protests always had art and art has something to say. We invite you to protest something with your art. Your protest can be social or personal, can be against something in real life, Second Life, another person, or perhaps even against yourself! -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rules: * The artwork has to be new and created exclusively for this specific contest. * The art work must be related to the theme 'Art of Protest' * Artists may submit no more than one artwork * There will be three categories for submitting art for the contest: - 3D Art (non-scripted) - 3D Art (Scripted) - 2D Art * the Jury will consist of three people; works will be judged using a combination of our jury pointing system and public voting. Public votes will represent 25% of the contest points. Jury members will be announced in the middle of march. * During the exhibition the artists will be able sell their art works if they wish. The gallery will get 25% of sales. * Works can be a maximum of 75 prims. * Every piece of art will need acceptance of the curator, and the curator has the right to eliminate submitted artworks that are not related to the theme, are not authentic, or do not comply with the rules. * general content only * Your entry can include sound and/or lights, which may not extend beyond the area of your work.
