  1. I have totally missed out on the fact that there was an in-world group. Probably poor research but somehow I hoped keeping track of what was announced on the forum, blogs and trough the merhcant dashboard would be enough As for two weeks back. I tracked my 899L enhancement as I only pay for one at this price every week. I was charged 4 times 899L when this happened. So lets say one was for this week (week 15) which is correct looking at charged date. One was for week 14 (last week) as I see I wasn't charged for that week. I was however charged for week 13 (two weeks ago). that still leaves 2x899L unaccounted for. If Dakota really meant only 2 weeks back. If not those other two 899 must be for prior weeks which I atm can't identify.
  2. That is really bad form to inform just a few. I will still file a ticket. i usually monitor the enhancements quite closely and cant recall not being charged. I could be wrong but I would require a specified list of the ones that were delayed.
  3. I will be making a ticket as soon as back from travelling. Somehow filing a ticket trough my smart phone isnt very tempting. :-) In the mean time I am watching to see if there is any news and hope I wont be charged for more.
  4. Oh my I have been charged 15 times for enhanced adds in a span of an hour. 4 times for 899L even though I only have one add at that price..this is giving me grey hair. Cant tell what adds have been charged or if they at all are mine..

    Mainland Revamp

I always wondered what the idea was about waterland being for sale on Mainland. Was it for those who already had land above sealevel to buy to ensure they'd own some sea? Atm it just a lot of platforms on top of water looking very out of place ruining the view of those who own proper land. If they'd choose to rez a houseboat or similar or atleast rezzed their house in the sky out of sight then fine but without any rules it seems most go for the easy solution and res a house on top of water. :matte-motes-bored: I do love the idea of Mainland though, and I surely like making it look pretty the land I own. It is a challenge and it makes SL more interesting to me. But I have come to terms that people have different tastes and certainly some really don't care how their parcel look at all. Many live in the sky. I wish they'd just spend a tiny amount of prims on trees or some grass down on ground just to be nice to the neighbors on ground. :matte-motes-bashful-cute:
  6. In some countries including mine (or for specific ISPs) IPs that are given to people are not static, meaning - that if you disconnect and reconnect your router you may get a different IP. It can be done by restarting your modem/router, renewing IP via windows settings, etc...And then you add people living in the same house, campus and what nots. The data is collected and used without proper knowledge on how IP adresses are handeled. The base of any decisions derived from this IP data is flawed and can't be trusted. But in any case just makes the one using such data look bad.
  7. Want nice sorroundings to live in at reasonable prices? Are you done with the homesteads, 1/4 sims and what not or simply can't afford it? Don't want to go premium just for the Linden home? We offer move in ready furnished homes situated in nicely landscaped sims or tastefull skyboxes for those not quite ready to live on ground yet. All homes on ground have hide avatar on parcel enabeled and their own media rights. The skyboxes use a private media system to ensure the option to listen to your own music. Some skyboxes include texture changing scenery which can also be sent back if you rather see the real sky. For your convienience we have a group invite system which will send you a group invite as soon as you pay the rental box. So no need to wait for us to log on. Any furniture can be sent back for extra prims. If you have any questions you can contact either me, Klotari or Sydney Kobichenko. Visit our offices and check out the land @ http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fenstriano/52/60/28
  8. There are products out there which will provide a private stream of music or video on a land where the parcel is shared by many while still allowing the parcel stream to not be changed. I use one of these system on my land where I rent out skyboxes which share parcels or where I want the park on ground to have a certain parcel stream playing, still letting the tenant in the skybox above be able to listen to something else. I wont name drop here as I'm not up to date about advertising in here but I'll paste the descripton for one product. "Anybody can load their own private stream, share their streams with their friends, and switch back and forth, it's easy! It supports an UNLIMITED number of media streams playing at the same time on the same parcel! It even remembers your preferences when you return to the parcel! You now have the power to choose your own stream! Just touch the Remote Control to get a menu where you can select a private stream which only you can see and hear. You still have the option of listening to the regular audio stream, just press the play/pause buttons in your SL viewer to control which stream you want to hear." I can send the name to you in an PM on here or in an IM in-world. Needless to say I am happy with the product. Only problem I've had is actually explaining renters how to use it as it plays on the media stream and not music stream. So a viewer that plays both streams automatically can be confusing before they understand how it works. It does however require the land owner to deed a reciever to the parcel so if you don't own the land you'd want to check with your landlord first before getting anything like this.

  12. When it finally recognized that I indeed had a marketplace store the move to direct delivery went quite smoothly. I even took the time to make them into folders. I even had my first encounter with Torley videos :catsurprised: Never watch videos really as I prefer to read but made an exception to make sure I'd get this right. So far so good!
  13. On no that's not a very helpful Slurl at all. Thank you for pointing that out. I must have been in to much of a rush there copy/pasting. Here is the right one: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Euryalus/214/242/21
  14. Odd sized parcel island by Linden protected water canal for sale. Excellent for a starter shop as there are a few other commercial builds in the area and random boating traffic or a secluded home. LAnd not sold with objects but they can stay as long as you want. Just return them whenever. SOLD
  15. I use Blogger as well. I am not a big fan personal blogs but I think for promoting events and to get information out there it is a very handy tool.
  16. Sounds like a nice initiative :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  17. A friend of mine wrote a lengthy foum post about Second Life on a joint gaming forum. I picked up on the part about live music. As I live somewhere rather remote I don't get to go to live music shows much so thought I'd check Second Life out and see how it was. And now I'm kind of hooked :catvery-happy:
  18. I've noticed it'll take atleast 24 hours for parcels to appear in-world search. How long is it since you enabeled to appear in search? I think the same goes for classifieds and groups, though I never really paid attention to that.

And this is not in any sense of things a good way to fail either - making a big 'we'll fix it', getting everyone hyped up for the fix, and then saying... Ha Ha, losers! You lose! Sux to be you! Indeed I did get that feeling reading the final verdict. I'm amazed how it's possible to be so fickle. I don't like fickle :catsad:
  20. Yes I do think this is a willed change. It is hard to beleive a company could be so out of touch not to see how this (and other prior decisions) will effect the current use of SL. Or could they? Any company of this size must have a long term plan regarding all their products right? If they don't something is very wong. SL as it is atm might not be part of their over-all plan. Which I would find sad but I might not be within their precieved target marked...Somehow I almost hope they're just a badly run company and they'll see the errors of their ways. But I can't beleive they don't have a goal to which all this are means to get there.
  21. Best thing to do is probably to shop around for a bit. Go to rental offices in-world. Tp to their vacant homes/parcels making note of price, prims and presentation. Prices change quite alot lately there must be quite a bit of under-cutting going on. Do take note of how much effort is put into notecards, look up the owners profiles etc. It might give you an idea about reliablility. It can be a bit tedious but well worth it. When I first rented a home I went for the first one I got in in-world search looking for the word cottage. Needless to say it was quite ugly and expensive but atleast I had a place to rez things and to figure out what I really wanted. Think of it like going window shopping :matte-motes-bashful-cute-2:
  22. I'm just hoping people will eventually get bored of shopping trough the marketplace and again will want some actual SL experience in-world. But I definitly think some change have to happen to make merchants keep in-world land. I own land because I like the challenge of making mainland pretty and I like dealing with people. Renting out some homes and shops seemed like a good idea to cover tier so I could develop and landscape to my hearts desire. So far so good as some still want to have a shop in-world and do want a house in a pretty area. But I'm not sure how long it'll last. I am not aiming at profit but it would be nice to have some certainty I'll have some of the tier covered. As long as the dollar is weak I'm ok, paying for most of my tier to have fun owning land, as the norwegian krone is strong but wont last forever Lowering tier would be good but not without changing Marketplace. If LL want people to buy land to make up for the cut. 0 tier while just being represented on marketplace is still less then some tier
  23. I really like the thought of mesh builds and plants thought I have only used a few so far they look great and are equal or less prims then what I would have gotten before. As for clothes and hair. I have not gotten any. Did I understand it right that you have to choose a preset shape if you do? I gone to a lot of trouble to make my avatar look like she does ( a bit more realistic then most) and I wouldn't want to have any other shape :matte-motes-bored: Though having clothes move with the body is great but not at that expense.
  24. I tried the frontpage for a bit but never got click troughs. Category pages or check-out pages seem to do better for me. I think it's down to what you are advertising. I mostly advertise rentals and I see a correlation between click troughs and people visiting my sim quite clearly on some days. And yes people do "buy" 0L rental adds to get the information notecards. Those who do usually visit my land. I just made myself beleive there just to many paying for front page exposure that the amount of displays isn't going to be enough. Not only do you need to get on the frontpage. Someone interested in your catagory of product have to be the lucky one to see it as well. I could be wrong though but it made me recall lectures at uni about probabillity and statistics when I took the time to ponder over it. I guess those with a bit of a advertising fond could pay for enough enhanced adds on the frontpage to make sure they will be seen almsot every time. But it'll cost.
  25. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fenstriano/111/17/38 Tranquil mainland sim by the sea. A nice place to unwind and/or do some in-world shopping as well as take in some art. The sim is the home of three small art galleries. By a Route 12 rez zone so nice for starting your drive around Nautilus Also featured in the destination guide http://secondlife.com/destination/time-lost-caf-
