Thanks a lot, VS. I think I'll stick with the 250 ( 1 GB ).

I've only been in SL for a few days. I have a fairly high-end PC but I'm wondering if I could improve my graphics from High to Ultra by changing my graphics card. The one I'm using at the moment is GeForce GTS 250. My last PC had a GTX 880. Does anyone know if using this card would improve my experience of SL? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm new in SL. My question is this: I am in a land and text appears on the screen at various points. I assume they are animation balls but most of the words do not have balls or indeed objects near them. When I click on them they give ma a normal menu with "sit here" which does nothing except give me the opprtunity to sit down, One text says "kiss me"; one of the avatars says "kiss"...at least that word comes up on the bottom right of my screen as a "notification". Is this addressed to me personally, and what is the difference between chat on the bottom left of the screen and this at the bottom right? How do I respond? I am not answering in case I act foolishly. I would be grateful for a full explanation. Thanks.

Whenever I come across animation balls, nothing appears to happen. I right-click them amd get a list of options eg "touch" or "sit here". I have tried choosing them all but nothing seems to happen I tried clicking one hovering over a raft, called "raft of passion's delight" . A number of sexual options appeared, but clicking on each in turm produced nothing except a brief disappearence of the options box, which promptly appeared again. I realize I must be doing something wrong, but i have looked in "Second Life for Dummies" and the online tutorials but can't find the answer. Any help would be appreciated. greyghoul..

I have recently joined and am slowly finding my way round SL. I have just bought "SL for Dummies" but it's not arrived yet. I'm wondering if anyone can answer a question which so far I've been unable to find the answer to in the tutorials. In some areas of SL there are coloured balls with text above them. Sometimes the text appears without a ball, with instructions like "kiss her 4-F" or whatever. What are these for? How do I obey these instructions? Why when I click on one of these objects does a coloured framework appear? Any help would be much appreciated. greyghoul.
